They choose these class sistem because they where afraid to launch the game with a True TES class sistem.
The thing I hate most, is that you have to use magicka even if you want to play a 100% warrior brute.
Never used magicka in any TES game (maybe a couple of restorations, but only on lower levels)
three months ino the game is far too late? if I may mention: Final Fantasy: Reborn scrapped its flawed predecessor.reagen_lionel wrote: »Its far too late for them to remove classes.
I feel there really shouldnt had been classes to begin with.
As far as the options, I dont know what to pick, perhaps changing traits or the like.
But right now, they made classes matter far too much than it should have been.
Not sure what the point of this (and also several other) polls are. Of course it will never ever happen at this time to remove classes, it would result in a HUGE rewrite of the whole game, and core functionality, and will never ever happen.

I'm not a tech spec, far from it, but deletion of classes seem to be a rather easy thing. I do not like bringing other games into discussion, but it must be done this time: WoW has talent overhauls every expansion, they introducde rather big changes.
There is nothing to stop Zenni from changes except for their vision of the game. I'm certain that they do not display ill will towards their work, but unfortunately, in my opinion, they are pursuing after wrong ideas.
indeed, it does not. here it will take much less work than FF. but still FF is a great example of upgrade.reagen_lionel wrote: »
They scrapped the entire game altogether, and rebuilt it from the ground up with a new engine.
That doesnt correlate here.

FOTM and Cookie cutter builds stem from limitation on options for how to build your character forceing you to choose the most "effective" build for your "class" and yes they stem from classes and the limitations set forth by such.
In a free spec open class game with 100s (if not 1000's) of options for customization of your characters skills. Cookie cutter builds are not only impossible, but a seriously invalid concern.
It will be exactly the opposite of what you are predicting.
Before i started playing TESO, i was playing an indie arpg, that took exactly that approach to skills.
The forums over there are full of people complaining about cookie cutter builds.
The problem isn´t with the class system, it´s with the players.
Some people care all about what is (currently and largely subjective) the best way to build a character.
It´s partly lazyness to to try different things for yourself, partly pack behavior and largely due to the fact that people have to "re-learn" playing MMORPG´s after what that other major mmorpg, have done to the genre.
It´s pretty obvious to me, that alot of people ( the same people complaining mostly) just don´t like rpg games, but feel entitled that the dev´s change the game to their liking.
