Tier 3 Hireling Materials Delivery

I know these rely on a random number generator system... but I have gotten fewer crafting boosters of any color since the patch instead of the stated increase to the chance for said hirelings to have at least blue upgrade mats.

Mostly, this is for my Woodworker and Blacksmith hirelings rather than my Enchanting or Clothing. They seem to be on different levels even though I have all four at max. Now that I think about it... I've had my Clothing and Enchanting hirelings the longest and they seem to be more consistent with their deliveries. I only picked up Blacksmith and Woodworking after I was in the veteran levels. Does the length of time you've had a hireling affect its deliveries?

Also, since the tool-tip states that I get materials delivered twice a day, why does this not happen unless I actually log in a second time 12 hours after my first log in? These mails should happen automatically whether or not I log in the second time.

I was wondering about this myself. I have a tier 3 hireling for provisioning and it doesn't seem to deliver groceries twice a day. I'll have to check on this to be sure.

Tier 3 hirelings send mail 12 hours after you login and receive the previous one. So if you login every 12 hours you get it twice a day, otherwise you get it the next time you login.

Then I would say it's broken. The hirelings should deliver their items every 12 or 24 hours after the previous delivery, not based on whether or not you have logged in. Not all of us can log-in every 12 hours.

I don't know if it's fair or not, but it's not broken. This is how it is intended to work by the devs.

Re-read the OP, you clearly didn't.

I have to agree, the stated increase of 3/3 hireling was actually total nerf ... I am getting about 1/10 of what they were getting before patch. Mostly just raw mat and nothing more.

For me, right now, the hireling mats delivery are just a bad joke...

I fully agree with you. Right before the last patch I threw skill points into the provisioning hireling, due to the tomatoes. First delivery I got was 4 tomatoes, 2nd delivery was 2 salt, 2 pepper. But I lost all of the other deliveries during the massive download (and my crappy internet service). I couldn't log in every 12 hrs due to download and then multiple repairs to the game because my game was 'broken'. Finally, I had a friend help me with the latter but still... even if I could log in every 12 hours (timewise)... I couldn't log in due to the games DL process and constant repairs I had to do on my end. We should get the deliveries regardless of having to log in or not. I should have those mails waiting for me. I even think they expire after 3 days too, don't they?

I feel hirelings have had a nerf as well. I have not been able to get anything of good quality since the patch, and this two mails a day is just a joke. Apparantly Zos does not live in a real world like the community because it is just crazy to think that people can just log in every twelve hours. Yeah, I will set my alarm to wake me up at 3:00 a.m. so I can get my junk in the mail. This needs a change so that we receive both those mails at the same time, or delivers even if we are not logged in. Really tired of spending the skill points on all my crafters for absolutely nothing.

The new loot tables must be really inconsistent. Since the patch I've gotten sometimes 2 yellows, a blue and 3 white items in one mail, and that's happened a few times.

This is e-mail system issue in general, not just Hireling.
You cant do anything with e-mails unless you login. You cant recieve, you cant return, nothing.
Most funny thing is, that nothing will happen with foreign e-mails aswell even it is CODed e-mail.
For example, i have 2 RL friends with whom we started to play this game. We used to be crafter partners and exchanged crafted items for decon.
They stoped playing 2 months ago but didnt informed me beforehead so i sent them a few more e-mail with junk for decon.
2 Months after that my e-mails still did not return to me.

Indeed I would like to see 2 deliveries regardless if I log in 12 hours or not.

However most of the morning I log in TESO to get a nice boost even 10 minutes before going to work. So isn't an issue.

And if I miss one morning email, the world isn't going to end.

Agree, I hope they don't mean twice daily of playing / game time, that would be bogus.

it literally says on the tooltip, that it delivers after a certain amount of time passes AFTER you log out

@Pleazantry‌, You get tomatoes? And salt? And pepper?

    Mine seems to like grapes...

    Purple grapes...

    Green grapes...

9/10 Grocery deliveries I receive consist of grapes, grapes, and friggin' grapes... (Litterally three items, all different types of grapes.) One the occasion I do not get grapes, I seem to rarely get a Food provision mat...almost always Drink related...

Seems like the rotation (if there is one) is stuck...

(I receive so many dang grapes, I'm considering opening a winery...)

    Anyone else have similar issue?

Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

I know what it says, that still doesn't make it right. Like someone else pointed out, it's basically meant for those who are students or unemployed and can basically log-in every 12 hours. I'll just have to start trying to logon every evening after work, and the first thing in the morning before I go to work.

Would be nice if it gave you more stuff based on how long it was since you last logged on. If they are wanting to get people logging in more, making it not give more than 2-3 days worth of stuff would be better than 12 hours.

I gave up on Provisioner Hireling. After 3 weeks I hadn't got ONE item that was useful for a recipe I had, it was 90% drink components.

The most buggy one I've seen is the Clothing Hireling. At tier 8 materials I haven't had any base components, whereas it should be 5 each mail like clockwork. Have bug reported it.

I have a feeling that provisioning got a complete nerf since the last patch. I rarely find Blue level recipe's anymore, and most of them I do find are just Green duplicates. Also my Tier 3 hireling for provisioning has just been bringing grapes and low level stuff, certainly no tomatoes. I'm keeping a running list of what I'm receiving each day to submit a bug report at some point in the future. What erks me the most is that I spent a skill point for this?

I wish they would stop bringing the racial crafting items (bone, obsidian, etc. forget what they call them) altogether. Anyone who loots containers has hundreds of them.

Its meant to stop people from creating crafting mail alts...logging off for a month...coming back and collecting a months worth of mail...and flooding the market.

It's annoying that you have to log in to get the mails to trigger, but it is how it works. You need to log in twice a day if you want your hireling mails to come twice that day.

Regarding the mat drops in the mails, these definitely have improved since they buffed it recently. They were abysmal and really crappy (almost no tempers ever) before the buff.

Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.
