ZoS has a VERY long term plan for the game, years in fact, so no worries.

Nah. It won't. It'll go the way of SWtOR. The PC servers will be dead in another few months. They'll get absorbed and merged into the console servers, just to keep up the illusion that things are still healthy. The ADHD console crowd will be willing to put up with the game for a couple months, then move on to the next most colorful pile of blinking lights. This is not going to be the game that revolutionizes the monthly subscription model on consoles.

Zeni's running this off investor funds, not revenues, which you can see if you look up their 10Ks and 10Qs. It's all well and good to have hope and optimism, but at the end of the day it's a business, and businesses don't thrive on unicorn giggles and dinosaur farts. It's not about what anyone wants, it's that it takes money to keep a thing like this going. You don't keep money coming in by alienating your customers, which seems to be the only thing Zeni really excels at.

Me? I'm totally alienated, and that's hard to do. There was a retired veteran, with cancer, I saw posting the other day, and the mods were just letting him get wrecked with flames, because he's more of the "here's what's going wrong" camp of player than the "shut up you whiner crybaby" camp. A retired veteran with cancer. This is all people. The community is eating itself. Why? Well most likely, like what happened in other MMOs, it's because the roof is collapsing. This is Dark Age of Camelot again, only with a faster life-cycle.

Don't think that's even close to possible, even if you stayed up 48 hour straight.
i lvl my alt from 1 to 50 3 fays and 3 days from V1to V12 , and i see how my friends lvl up 1-v12 for 2 days.

You need lvlup to v12 in 3 hours 0_o ? All fine with lvls no need to fix anything.

Every fix uncovers a new break. Every break never really gets fixed only temporarily patched and in some cases returns with a vengeance. Every issue regarding abilities is handled poorly when change or nerfed and skill points not refunded.

Essentially, ZoS has done everything possible to make sure they get it wrong. If their target was to take a brilliant idea and kick it into dust, they have done a marvellous job. It really has felt like most of the things that made players smile were immediately taken away while things that frustrated players (mem leaks, latency, quest bugs) have been highlighted and added for our pleasure.

Could you imagine giving a child an ice lolli, waiting until they had a few licks then punching them in the ear while taking it away? That's what this has sort of felt like.

I was explaining this to my wife on our walk today, and what's here, and what I would definitely like to see preserved is the FEEL of the game. You pull your two-hander back, and then it swings, and it hits an enemy, and there's a WHOMP. I just feels right. Same with an uppercut. Same with a sorceror bomb spell, same with a Templar jab. The graphic hits, the sound hits, right in line with what's happening, and that's a very rare thing for even a console-triple-AAA game, let alone a PC MMO. A great job was done, and continues to be done, with the feeling of in-game physics.

Current dissastisfactions: I've played Templar and Sorc. I have a V12 (that exploited the hell out of Craglorn, in the interest of full-disclosure). Templar is GARBAGE and Sorceror is FUN AS HELL. I really do believe that the gulf between early DK/Sorc and early NB/Temp has informed most players' opinions on what the game is like. Everybody loved it to level 50. When VR hit is when people starting hitting walls, and thus got frustrated, and thus either quit or hit the forums.

Well look on the bright side: You get to watch time destroy this game, just ruin everyone involved. The plan was to observe this with horror, like watching soil erosion wear down a beautiful cliff. But now it's more like watching a poisonous flower slowly wilt away in a drought. Actually, it's more like watching a boat full of jerks sink. Listen to them argue loudly about relative hull strength and lifeboat capacity as their heads disappear beneath the waves!

There is nothing wrong with the NB or Templar, both are incredibly good classes.

NB is actually top tier right now, and Templar is great for groups while also having the best 1v1 build in the game.

When I quit a couple weeks ago I had the feeling the game was already dead. No chatting, no players in the veteran areas (with the exception of Craglorn), waiting at boss sites and dolmens for help that hardly ever comes, sneaking though zillions of npc mobs that are all healthier and do way more damage than my characters. It felt more and more like a solo game, just way harder.

This is what worries me more than anything. Me and the wife are V9 and it's rare to run across someone else questing. I'm trying to stay optimistic ( even though I'm normally a pessimistic person) that they are going to come up with a way (soon) that will pump some life into veteran zones.

Actually one thing has: There is now way more aggressive policing of the forums than there was before the patch. Apparently, these extremely slow monkeys can't tell the difference between symptom and disease. Someone in charge must have said "Boy, our forums are a real downer! It can't be the game, hmmm. I know, let's just make all the posts that aren't glowing vanish!"

If you're still invested in the game, it's frustrating and worrisome. If, like me, the abuse heaped on you has caused you to flip your orientation, it's just very funny. It's like watching a cat try to play the piano, or an orangutan perform an appendectomy with a hammer. It's a great big, but entertaining, mess.

I could get 2,4 million VP per hour thats About 2 hours per vet lvl so 24 hour should almost be enough already

    2.4 million an hr eh?

Lets say you kill a 3 pack every 15 seconds, that's a fairly quick pace. Lets say for sake of argument that each gives 300 exp, round up to 1000 total for simplicity.

    (2,400,000 exp / 1000 exp) * 15 seconds = 36,000 seconds

That's 600 minutes or 10 hours to get 2.4 million.

To get 2.4 million per hour you would have to kill a 3 pack every 1.5 seconds.

    Except, you kill a 20 pack and a Boss worth 35+ K each pull; In Craglorn AoE Boss farming. {Just an example, not a totally accurate number, just an approximation}

Depending on the Bala run, and your level you can make 10-20% a run.

It is amazing to hear how much everyone complains that an MMO was launched "unfinished" MMOs are NEVER finished! World of Warcraft was launched with almost no content past level 40. Hell, Maraudon wasn't even in the game yet. The issue lies with console gamers making the switch to online games and expecting a complete entity. this game will never be fixed, it will never be balanced, there will always be bugs that people find ... its the life of an MMO! So, rather than wallowing in negativity, how about we start enjoying what is RIGHT with the game, because, seriously ..there are ALOT more things good in this game than most others when they launch! I have been at the launch of about 12 MMOs and this was one of the smoothest launches I have ever been a part of!

Online games, in their beginnings, go through a lot of hell for the first year or so. enjoy the game for whats good about it and have a bit of faith that they will take pride in their product and always keep moving forward!

stop expecting a finished product and enjoy the living, always changing, world of ONLINE GAMES!

Care to make a wager on that? Going F2P before console release wouldn't be a wise business move.

It is amazing to hear how much everyone complains that an MMO was launched "unfinished" MMOs are NEVER finished!

It is amazing to see how many people quote this verbatim, without even thinking it through.

No game is bug free, no. But time and again, context is ignored, to make a blanket defence. The context that is, software developers, are run by money people, and like any other corporation today, cut expenditure and anything else they can, including testing. And it is getting more prevalent in each industry.

Only for some reason, software, has the same level of accountability, as banking, finance and politics. The money people want the money from the big new media, but, they don't want to offer the quality. And it is not just MMO's. In last 10 years, I have seen what I call "release now, patch later". And the shortfalls are becoming increasingly apparent across the board. MMOs are included, yet let off the hook rather bizzarely, simply for being MMOs.

Yes, many MMOs launch incomplete with bugs, and warts. Which is exactly why, when having seen the regular fallout from this, it makes no sense to follow suit in the same way, or worse, try press your luck even more. The only people who want this are the investors. I really do not feel sorry for them, when an MMO they put money in, gets slammed, because the devs rushed it to give them what they wanted, over their customers.

Nor, am I surprised when for the nth time the fallout happens under exactly the same circumstances. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing, and expecting a different result. It is no longer a defence to me, as it is evidence for the prosecution. If it happens so often, and you know it will likely happen again if you do it, the why do it?

I don't really feel sorry for the investors when people complain about incomplete MMOs. And they are the people your really defending. I don't think they need defending.

This is what happens when 2/3 of the mandatory content is elite. It is really that simple. This is also why many people that can do VR stuff just fine (like me) are still able to see the bigger picture here. A gigantic % of people are leaving because VR content is a train wreck. Those that enjoy it the way it is w/o accepting any sort of compromise have one mantra:

    They say L2P or leave.

    Well, people are leaving.

    Now what.

This is a ridiculous comment. MMO game hoppers have already left. TES fans are the ones leaving now. Those who purchased longer subscriptions, those who have been posting that they cannot take anymore and are posting for the first time expressing their frustration, TES add on makers are mad now and if they leave you will see another large exodus.

This mindset that the game will be better with fewer players obviously have never played an MMO on a dead server or prefer single player games and are experiencing this as such.

Those of you with this mindset and the mindset that all posts are done by 'whiners' etc. need to wake up. Start being proactive in helping this game retain it's dwindling player base. Stop attacking those posting about a bad gaming experience. Help them and you help this game profoundly more than by writing them off.
