FIX THE DAMN PERFORMANCE ISSUES

WTH is with you guys at Zenimax, you posted minimum and recommended system requirements on the specs for this game, I can run this game on high settings and still get the frustrating rage creating game quiting low fps in PvP and PvE, I set the game to lowest settings imaginable and still have the same issue, so the thing is in your code in your game and your hardware! This is just unstoppable anymore! It just drives people out of the game losing their money and nerves!!!

Fix the game code or you are going to end up with no people on servers, trust me, respectvely said to you, people are quitting since Craglorn patch, this one finished them totally....And what is with those people who had fatal error 11 had to redownload 25 GB the whole game again and reinstall with the 5 or 8 GB update this is crazy, people dont have so much internet every month to spend!! This is ridiculous!

You pay the game to enjoy and support the series, you pay monthly sub, and you get this, you pay the internet to enjoy, you get this, now it seems I have to buy 1500 euro PC just to run the game or PS4 or Xbox ?! Are you crazy not everyone is millionare, if you want more people just make it damn playable and affordable to anyone, or this is going straight into suicide....

EDIT: I don't know what is your player base PC settigns or specs, but this game should not be only for uber opopopop computers, think on us mid level and low pc range, you can't sustain the money system just on the people who own super special computers who can run the game with no singel frame drop.
How many players would you loose just on that.

Well.....yeah, they got a fix, but are waiting for next Week.....

    Funny, isnt it?

Any other MMO would suddnly shut down and fix, really any, but ZOS..... they dont care.

We will see that instant fix they created from nowhere.
Why the hell they created the PvP system if they can't control performance?

Well, dont get me wrong, before Patch pvp in ESO was the smoothest mass-scale Battles i have seen in any mmos.

It wasn't always if you encounter even bigger groups, even then it was some lag and low fps but this went across border....
  • integlsdriverub17_ESO
this is rlly fukin nuts... 50-60fps in big fights. Then randomly drop to 5fps and i die then i spawn at a forward camp where there is no fight no npc's or real players and the frames stay there. At this point im glad i cancelled my sub and wont be paying again... something like this should have been fixed the same day or the next. Not wait till monday or when ever they decide to fix esp after i was one of the ppl with the fatal error and had to dl 25gb.

Lowest i got was 20fps, low, but still very playable, nothing like allways 3fps now...

Not sure what you're talking about. I haven't seen any performance issues, in fact I've had my performance increase with the past couple patches. I'm at 60FPS almost everywhere now.
  • integlsdriverub17_ESO
Your one of the lucky few... normally im at 60fps everywhere but since the patch after a bit frames drop to 5fps even with nothing and no one around.

I am kind of wondering if it is similar to the netcode issue bf4 had. Or atleast along those lines.
  • integlsdriverub17_ESO
My machince isnt top of the line but its not old either... i5-4670k, z87 MB, 16gig 1600mhz ram, gtx 770, 1tb hdd, built 3 months ago. Its more than capable of playing eso with no problems and no matter what settings its on i still get 4fps even on the lowest.

Are any of you people that are having FPS issues running outdated addons? Remember, every major patch changes the addon system, and by just checking "load outdated addons", you are setting yourself up for problems like this. The ESOHead addon in particular has been nasty about this after major updates.

If your addons don't have updates for API version 10007, you CAN load outdated addons, but make sure you test the addons one at a time to make sure they don't cause issues. Outdated addons can frequently cause Lua errors, which can cause severe FPS issues. This happens in ANY MMO that uses a Lua addon system (the exact same thing happens in WOW - after a major patch a bunch of people post with FPS issues and it turns out they were using outdated addons).

It's not an add-on issue. I've played the entire 1st day with no add-ons after the patch and experienced the same fps drops during battle. As I mentioned in another thread, I suspect the lighting they added. Also I noticed my graphics settings were changed to max. I had to go back & turn off shadows.
  • tino.antoninieb17_ESO
I never ever had any fps issues before this patch . I switched off all addons and played without them - still i have same problem . Problem is with game not gamers. If they really have patch - why the hell they dont patch it - even if they have patch they shouldnt say thay have it coz it sounds really really bad.

I don't know then. All I do know is that my settings are all on max and I have not had any FPS issues whatsoever since the patch. 60 the vast majority of the time.

Well I have been playing since beta and the issues with FPS and performance have been getting gradually worse. This is not a PC/ISP issue, the fault for this is squarely with ZOS, it doesn't take a genius to realise this and if you were a doubting Tomas, just look at all the updates ZOS have been giving on the performance issues and the way they make sure their player base are kept in the loop as to what they are doing to resolve this.....Oh wait they aren't.

Don't forget about the memory leak that has still not been fixed....

Here is what I received from technical support two days ago:
Please accept our apologies regarding this memory leak issue! We assure you we're investigating a permanent fix for it. In the meantime, may I suggest you try a hotfix?
To minimize the effects of the memory leak, please try the following:
    Adjust graphics settings:
    • Change the display mode to Windowed (Fullscreen)
    • Turn on Vertical Sync
    • Reduce quality settings for SubSampling, Shadow Quality, and Water Reflection Quality
In addition to this, we advise you either to launch the game directly via eso.exe from the installation directory (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client), or alternatively, once the game has launched, to alt-tab out to the launcher and close it.
Finally, you should not spend too long at the character selection screen as this seems to increase the effects of the leak.
(these tips can be consulted here, for future reference: http://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20528/track/AvPyVQoVDv8S~bVTGoEe~yINfr0qqS75Mv99~zj~PP_0 )
Once again I deeply apologise for this, I hope the suggestion above works for you while we're working on a solution.
Should you need our assistance again, feel free to contact us!

    Best regards,
    The Elder Scrolls Online Team

Yeah the patch majorly borked the pvp fun. I tried all manners of tweaks and it still dies down to low fps (5-10) with a GTX 650 ti and i7 cpu. Used to not be that way.

Not just PvP, tried to play today only to die to invisible Mobs, first time was hit by multiple loading screens and then when that finished I was dead, second time fought some Mobs, Scamps, killed them went to loot the item list pops up and as soon as I hit E to take all, I get the message you cant do that when dead, and then I die.
This isn't fun anymore, ZOS are killing this game.

Fixes are awfully slow in this game. I don't know why.

In other mmorpgs I play (or played) they usually hotfix broken stuff in a few hours. Here you have to wait days or even weeks. People cant even play the game and ragequit.

ZOS could definitely use a tutorial on how to run online games. I know they care about customers, work their butts of and want the game to run smoothly. But they still suck at communicating with their audience and fixing stuff within reasonable time

Maybe they lack people at the right places with full authorization to start working on things rapidly? ESO is such a big machinery, guessing a lot of suits and middlemen involved lol. If actions needs to go through several people and channels to get approval, it would take this long. That's the only explanation I can come up with.

Hopefully we can enjoy the game again by Monday.

I hope ZOS know that the low fps are because the Game makes our G-Card go into idle mode.

Just test it with a Temerature Watch program, normally G-Cards are at 70°C, if the low fps hits you, it goes down to 38°C because G-Card is set into sleep-mode....

I feel your pain but one thing to note is that firmware updates in conjunction with the game code makes things a lot better

Before Nvidia released their beta update they had no SLI profile for eso which made it kinda horrible, I use a gtx 590 and one cpu was overheating like crazy till the update now it's pretty sweet but on the other hand jumping into cyrodiil is a graphical lagfest right now, which is probably server side issues.

I don't know for sure, but it seems that the extreme FPS drops are because the lighting changes in 1.2.3 were bugged and have light sources from spell particle effects stay around after a spell has ended. After an intense battle, you have thousands of stray light sources cluttering up the battlefield, bringing the graphics engine to its knees. At least that is what some people have been reporting.

The fundamental reason for bugs such as this is of course coding mistakes from developers. However, why it is not caught in testing, and why the fixes are so slow, is a structure and management problem that they really need to fix.

Some say that it's caused also by this new environment loading issue which cause many things not loaded at correct time like mobs NPCs architecture etc.
    And also this memory leak...

About the patch they say we at EU will get it tommorow -.- so we lose another day in Tamriel...
