Why do guest players receive buffs that home players do not?

This is counter-intuitive and provides an imbalance for players who home on, say, Auriel's Bow NA and guest on Wabbajack NA.

So that you can PvDoor to victory on empty campaigns and then reap the benefits on guest campaigns... I mean comon! Rolling with 2 or 3 emperors with full buffs from other dead campaigns is how you utilize ZOS logic and eternal foresight to the fullest!

They should add a "start your own" campaign feature then we could make this happen!

not seeing any 'fixes' for this anywhere in any notes.

I have a hard time with 'constructive' when every major patch I find they broke more than they fixed especially in AvA.

It's about as constructive as underhandedly saying they are fixing the lag the day before subscriptions are up. Which did not work until much later and is broken again.

Or perhaps saying Craglorn is being released the day before subscriptions are up the month before that. And then saying opps it was a mistake.

As for guest getting buffs other don't...haven't seen it, nor heard of it being an issue. The link responds to campaign hopping, not that, sorry.

also OT: i wish my pvp buffs wouldn't be so picky as to when they decide to show up and when not, or actually show up more than they don't. Ah well...

I've never gotten buffs from the PvP campaigns, and I'm in a home and guest campaign. This isn't a jape about the state of my alliance losing or anything like that; I'm actually serious and wondering if I'm bugged in that regard.

This sounds a lot like the debate started yesterday, which was..."Why is Person A getting more benefits when Person A paid $30 and Person B paid $60?"

Anyway, one of the few benefits to having a guest campaign is so you can do more daily quests from bounty board. The other mission boards are repeatable. Thus, you can get 2 bonuses in the same day with bounty boards if you have guest campaigns. Now, that doesn't mean you'll do it, but that guest campaign is a sort of "increase/share the wealth".

Sure, I agree with having guest campaigns. I don't agree with guests getting bonuses though. Guest players do not have to earn their bonuses to have them on a guest server so I disagree with your analogy. Once it becomes clear that you won't get emperor on a server, the best solution is to home on a server that your faction owns and just guest on your current.

Oh right - not to mention the whole 10-30k difference you get for homing on a campaign that your team is winning.

To anyone new to the argument: even if you don't PvP at all, home to a server that your faction is stomping everyone on, get to reward tier 3 (only takes a few hours or so), then leave. You can continue to PvP on a different guest server, retain all your buffs, and get the highest rewards at the end of the campaign. Have fun playing.

I hit 9th place on NA Wabbajack for the same amount as my 4000+ ranked guildees.

You get whatever buffs are in your home campaign, they carry over into a guest campaign.

That's the mechanics of it, simple as that.
