So as it seems the only one surprised is me, then don't worry.
Eso will be successful, you will never see this game going f2p.
A lot of people is creating new subs everyday. The whole forums and empty guilds are just wrong. The game is amazing, vet zones rules. Plenty of groups, plenty of people to group. Nobody rerolling because have nothing to do.
All well balanced, the game is perfect. No need for a forum, just continue paying the beta game we have.
It is just my imagination, so go ahead and have fun, veterans.
Don't worry, in a few weeks you will be the only ones talking here in your pararell world and knowing that the rest of the community was wrong and people cancelling subs were wrong.
Stay strong! You will always have more vet levels to enjoy and buffed mudcrabs to kill.

Don't be so melodramatic. The game has issues to resolve, but that doesn't mean the state of the game isn't fun, it's just not fun for you - which is fine.

Skyrim has more dragons than ESO. Get your stuff together, ZOS!!
You can see it, JUST in Steam. Every day (around 50.000-65.000 people playing Skyrim. Nowadays, 3 years later. Enter nexus mods, hundreds of mods everyday.
So, is maybe even today, a lot of time before Skyrim release, being more played than the brand new TESO?
I think yes, and that’s not even normal.
Is it not more likely that because ESO is both an MMO and part of the ES series, those that came to ESO who came for the MMO part, may have simply decided to splash out on the other games in the series as well, to entrench themselves and 'catch up' as it were?
Those who are here for the ES part of ESO would have come here MMO or not, i'd imagine. And most likely already own Skyrim et al anyway.

Hey I was talking about the pararell world you live in an ironic way, but with you seems its real...the details I posted are happening since the beginning. Of course being a lot more in the first year. Those 50-65.000 users playing is happening since a year before Skyrim was released, not since april 2014...
Don't worry, I'm blind, you are right.

I had started to give you the benefit of the doubt until this post.
How is the bolded bit even possible? Unless he quit before you did yesterday."RazielSR wrote:I WAS having fun. Read my posts and do not point your fingers on my like if I was just trolling.
By some definitions, your OP was pretty much setting the stage for this to be a troll thread. And your posts that i quoted above go a long way toward backing up the appearance that was what you were aiming for.
It is not normal that a game that costs maybe 3 times more to produce and that was going to be the AAA mmo is played less than a game using the same franchise and released 3 years ago. It is not normal, if it is, then ZOS should be VERY happy about it.

As I said, youi have no facts to back up this hypothetical so this thread has no useful purpose.fromtesonlineb16_ESO wrote: »
Not sure what "and that's not even normal" means, if you're trying to say more players playing a three-year-old game than a brand new one isn't 'normal', since you have no facts to base you theory on then your conclusion is kind of fatally flawed, no?

First, show me the numbers that say less than 65,000 people are playing ESO.

Well in two words, STEAM SALE! But honestly, the game doesn't cost anything to play and doesn't go on maintenance or heavy grinding. Also, most ES players are amateur artists and designers and that game is an amazing outlet for such talent.
You can basically use the same argument with ESO for addon developers. If this game was really worth the money they are charging to keep people interested in playing.
Bah, I quit playing Skyrim 2 months after release.
Too many bugs and glitches that ruined the game for me.
To this day, I can't touch it.
Compared to ESO, it looks horrible.

You should go back and try it. The modding community has made skyrim what it is, It's scores more atmospheric, less buggy, looks better, fixes some gameplay mechanics and adjusts the UI enough to make it a really amazing game.
I love Skyrim, don't get me wrong. But in some ways, it seems like the "Call of Duty" of the ES franchise. What I mean by that is, a lot of people started playing Skyrim that never played any other TES games. Hell, a lot of them didn't even know there WERE other TES games. Yet these people try to act like they are lifelong hardcore TES fans. The result is these same people trying to compare every other ES game to Skyrim, and getting pissed when it's not exactly the same.

I understand. I started playing with Daggerfall. But well, this use to happen with every game having more sales in the series.

I just wonder what it was about Skyrim that brought in so many new people. Marketing? Exposure? What was different about it as opposed to other TES games that made it so popular with new players?
