Having to respec to change a Morph....

WoW's dual spec came in WOTLK or the end of TBC, many years after players were screaming at Blizz for it. And to my knowledge there still isn't triple spec.

Rift has 20 available Roles (specs) and the respec fee is a maximum of 1000 gold, no matter how many times you do it, and that's the cost at level cap.

If ESO is meant to truly be play as you want to, then ZoS might need to come up with something along the lines of multiple roles or add an additional respec option, like what others have mentioned. I'm still of the opinion there shouldn't have been Classes in the first place, but too late now to change that. Since there are so many options in game of how to approach a fight, there really needs to be something other than all-or-nothing respec so players CAN actually try out a multitude of different combinations until they find just the right one for them. Otherwise you might find us all wearing a dress and carrying a big stick... lol

I haven't tried respeccing here yet. Since I'm kind of running out of places I really want to put points in on my 50/vr1 NB, I'm not too worried about my alts. At the moment.

my advice would be to use those SP. By the time you realise you need some more abilities for the vet content its usually too late because they are all at level 1 unmorphed.
Vet content forces you to be creative so the same abilities that got you to vet1 won't always work later on. I always have a training bar that I switch too when handing in quests. it's full of stuff I think I MIGHT need.

I hope the designers some day will allow us to reset single morphs.

I'd gladly pay 1000 gold to reset one of my morphs, rather than 100g but then not have a choice of what to reset (ie: pay 22K for 220 points, 219 of those will go to the same skills)

You know... people saying choices and uniqueness... it's sort of silly... you feel you are unique and some choice you made at level 9 is meaningful and adds to your gameplay?

Instead of trying out different builds, choosing morphs I like and so on, I read all sort of sites, get what is considered 'best spec' and stick with that, because I don't want to choose the 'wrong' morph. So yeah I feel really unique and special since my choices are based on someone else's experience.

Me wonders if you'll still be thinking that some months from now when we have over 400 SP in game and the cost is 40K+ to respec when you want to change a single morph.

But there isn't really much need for triple spec anymore. Because you can change skills on the fly.

I've had to unlock morph and max some skills that I wouldn't have even considered due to stamina and medium armour being underpowered. I set of as a duel wield medium armour NB but soon realised I needed to go light armour and start using abilities from outside my class. e.g. volcanic rune, equilibrium, Immovable etc. When/if they fix stamina and medium armour those skills are already maxed so I will have basically unlocked and maxed almost every possible skill line that I have access to. This should make for a very flexible toon. Some content will always be suited to range, some melee, some magicka and some pure face stabbing. I'm glad I didn't just sulk and spend my time whining on the forums about my under performing class like some.

I have 20 free SPs does anyone know if you have to pay for ALL SPs or just those spent?

I can have a look tonight but was wondering if anyone knew.

Absurd it may be, however you have no choice but to accept.
@jelliedsoup‌ People who aren't happy with it could write a well written feedback report on it plus offer possible solutions that aren't over the top (like 1 gold always and forever). They do pay attention and make changes.

Seems a little like overkill to me, I can't see why the option to spend 2 skill points on either morph and the ability to toggle between the two is not an option.

The cost of respeccing seems a little odd unless you're trying to encourage gold sellers/buyers. Given there is so much nerfing and fixing of various skills, it seems only fair this is an option at the very least or a free respec is given to those people with a class which has been extensively changed.

It should be free, every time we hit a milestone in Caldwells story line we should get a free respec with that costume imo. As you reach higher lvls if you want more out of your skills you should be allowed to cahnge and why not?

I would think 1000 for a morph change is acceptable.
