At the end of Breaking The Tide I should be prompted to go speak with Holgunn. I got a nice thank you and that was that. No text to prompt me to speak with Holgunn in Davons Watch. I have also completed all quests in Bal Foyen so that isn't the issue.

I'm running Ebonheart for My first VR, and noticed not all quests will lead into the next part. Use Cadwell's alminac to see where you should be going next,

It's also possible that you have talked to him already and started that quest, since they start you in davon's watch

Nah I've done Ebonheart before. Just wanted another character as a NB there and when you talk to the Centurion Mobareed he should tell you to head to Davon's Watch and speak with Holgunn giving you the option to either say goodbye or I'll talk to Holgunn. I didn't get that. I got a thanks for helping save the day and nothing else. If I hadn't already done this quest on another character I would not have known I needed to go to Davon's watch as there is no indicator or quest telling you where to go next.

I went there and Holgunn is missing. He should be standing in the entrance to Davon's Watch waiting to talk to me. I logged out and logged back in after a 15 minute wait and he is still missing.

Something is wack. Made another character and just like yesterday when I am asked to speak to Garyon so he can lead me to Holgunn in Davons Watch in the very first quest you get when you spawn in, he is invisible. He was that way yesterday on my other character.

I always complete that small first quest in DW then go off to the island. Both times now Garyon has been invisible and I cannot interact with him even though the quest allows me to if I choose. I can see the arrow over his head but he isn't there, just like Holgunn after finishing Bal Foyen.

CS replied to my ticket. Trying a new character and going directly to Bleak Rock then Bal Foyen and not doing any DW quests until I finish those starter areas. Thanks for the quick reply to my ticket! :)

I started a new character last night. Skipped the prison and went directly to Davons Watch. Only spoke to the jumpy guy that gives you the quest to head to Bleakrock. I proceeded to Bleakrock and completed all quests there and moved on to Bal Foyen. Finished everything there and I did received the final quest to speak to Holgunn in DW. I proceeded to DW and spoke to Holgunn and then went on to do Indoril's quest and entered the crypt, then back to speak to Indoril again. At this point I am given the option to either speak with Garyn or find Holgunn. Garyn is standing in the room but I can't see him. There is an arrow over his invisible head. I logged out and l even tried leaving the house and going back in. He is still invisible. I updated my ticket with this information and also sent them screenshots showing what I am seeing.

Another issue with this quest line myself and another player that jumped into the portal noticed is, Indoril didn't shadow us very well. We should be transparent with a black wisp color. Instead we have a little black smoke around our hands. :) Something is boinked with this quest line.

When he's invisible like that it means he's spawned/rendered either above or most likely, below you.

Relogging fixes it. This happens elsewhere as well.

I found a lot of the Bal Foyen > Davon's Watch quests are a bit screwy due to the start location change. I get the update to warn Davon's Watch by walking near the wayshrine because I've already been there.

Nah he wasn't above or below. I've done this quest before on another character. He is always standing by his father but I did look elsewhere in the house and outside just in case they moved him for some reason. I did log in and out and still just had the arrow but no Garyn.

The DW quest updated properly on the new character since I didn't do any DW quests right at the beginning which is odd but it worked. CS said to abandon the quest but there was nothing to abandon as it completed once I spoke to the Centurion.

Its a year later, and I am currently experiencing this issue on Xbox One. I searched for answers everywhere, but got nothing except for this thread.

I can't start the quest after killing the general at the docks. I am stuck in limbo. If anyone sees this, any solutions?

They did move the Centurion who gives you the quest for Davon's Watch. He is on one of the ships now instead of the docks like before. I think it's the ship with the skyshard where you fight off enemies if you choose the dock to save.

Xbox player also having this issue. The centurion is on the ship but has no dialog to warn Davon's Watch. All he does is praise my good deeds. I really want a fix, I'm pretty sure this makes it impossible to do the main faction quest that takes you from zone to zone.

I had this problem a few times. I did the quest in Davon's Watch with Holgan BEFORE I went to Bal Foyen. It bugged all the Davon's Watch quests. So I had to delete the character. Now I make sure I go to Bleak Rock, Bal Foyen THEN start the quests in Davon's Watch. I even tested just picking up the quest from Holgan and then going to the starter islands. Bugged out all of my quests again.

Idk If I ever spoke to Holgun before going to Bleakrock, my character was a pc transfer, that I'm now trying (was) to level on console. Deleting really isnt an option for me. She's the only character I leveled in Provisioning and she's used every single recipie I ever got on PC or Console. :( Been on hold with CS for over an hour, I don't know what'll happen.

I am on xbox and chose to defend the fort, upon completion there is no follow up question to warm it davoid watch. When I go to the docks still shows all the main characters alive, with a few random dead bodies scattered around. Messaged customer service and got generic automated response, replied and hopefully waiting for a human to get back to me

    Ok my pretties,

I have discovered much to my frustration, after a couple hours of useless troubleshooting, that the quest is not bugged. You cannot pick up the quest from either the Centurion or Darj, because you most likely already have a quest in your log called Legacy of the Ancestors that you picked up in Davons Watch. The Warn Davons Watch quest is just an introduction to this next quest. You can either skip the introduction, since you don't really need it, or drop that quest from your inventory and you will be able to pick up the intro quest from either of the above NPC's. Hope this helps everyone. Happy questing! :)

Right. If you talk to Holgan you already have the quest and won't see it in Bal Foyen. It wasn't this way for a few months after game release but when they reworked the quests, this changed and confused some of us that had worked the quest line before. As you said it isn't really broken, just changed somewhat from the original quest line they had.
