Am I the only one that does not want to use Add-Ons & UI Mods?

Although I haven't read through this entire post, I'll answer the OP question and automatically assume others have mentioned the items I'll list...

To answer the OP question: No, you aren't the only one who does not wish to use add-ons. However, the one area of this game that is completely weak in my opinion is the UI. The default UI and associated systems are abysmal and hinder the player in most cases.

Do I use a ton of add-ons? No, but I do use one of the more popular UI mods for displaying team stat, my own stats and the damage/healing numbers that fly from the mob. What can I say, I like to see some of the numbers but not all of em...I could care less about min/max and DPS metering stuff.

The default guild store search functions are the worst of almost any MMO I've ever played. I'm not sure how people really function in the buying and selling of items without the add-on that allows for item searches by name.

I'm thinking about downloading the SouChef add-on, but haven't yet. It'd be nice to look at my provisioning recipes while not at a campfire...

A couple that I know are extremely popular that I simply won't be using is the mini map add-on. Its not a necessity and a bit more immersive without knowing where go by looking at a mini map. I guess I'm more of an old school EQ1 guy when I say "WTF is a mini map". haha

I also won't be using the lore book, skyshard, harvesting node, treasure chest add-on. I'm an explorer at heart and that particular mod, just spoils it for me. Yes, I'm max level (Vr10) and there are multiple areas where I'm missing lore books and skyshards. I'm actually looking forward to going back to try and find them, the good ol' fashioned way of looking.

Well, that's up for ZOS to decide. But it sure seems like it to me. If this was intended functionality, I'm fairly certain wayshrines wouldn't have a fee to begin with.

Huh? You still have to be in the same guild as the person you are teleporting to, or in the same party.. or be friends with that person. EXACTLY LIKE THE NON-ADDON WAY! Teleporting to friends, guildmembers or group members was always free..

This may have changed recently, but this was not always the case.

In the beginning, you could effectively teleport anywhere for free. If they've addressed that, great. I know ZOS is continually working on improving the API in this fashion.

I use many addons. I don't think addons are "evil". But the prior comment of a poster which insinuated that addons have never had malicious application was based in fallacy.

In response to the above, I use the said teleporter and to my knowledge you can only teleport ot a guild member, so it's not "cheating" by allowing you to teleport to ANY player. As already stated, it simply removes the need to open the guild roster, find a player you want to teleport to and right click. i.e. It shortens and simplifies existing functionality.

Also in response to the OP, there are quite a few addons that have nothing to do with the UI, but either "Fix/improve" existing functionality or provide something that is not already in game.

I often see people in zone complaining about the gold spammers .... I don't have that issue, I have an addon that is excellent at filtering those out .. how is that breaking immersion?
How anyone can say the "UI is great" when talking about guild banks and guild stores is beyond me, but there is a nice addon that adds the extra filters to the existing views ... cheating? I think not

I will not comment on that again - you have already been proven wrong apart from the fact that even if in some old stoneage days it might have been possible to teleport to any player in universe this is not at all malicious. I guess it will be useless to tell you... but I tried.

I am always in for a "genuine, productive conversation based on facts". You are always in for a "look at my writing skills conversation based on ingorance". Thats what I was clearly getting from your posts so far. I told you that "even if it may have been fact that it was possible to teleport to any player when this addon was released this is not a malicious code at all". You prefered to ignore that and rather danced around the words I used to point that out. You would not recognize faint sarcasm even if I would paint it on my face before talking to you. Oh noes!! Maybe they should ban right-clicking someone in your guild or in your party and transporting to them (for free) altogether. Cheating? I think not. All it does is simplify this already existing game mechanic.

You may now carry on and look for ACTUAL cheating, not an addon that merely uses a valid game mechanic in a slightly different way.

I don't really have an issue with cosmetic addons. If that's where they stay I won't have a real issue with them.

I'm not using addons. I really enjoy the fact of having the freedom of experimenting the game and the combat with the information provided by the action rather than by numbers, letters and icons.

i'll continue to play without addons, and I'll try to prove that the game is totally playable even at high level and overcoming challenging content without anything else than what the game provide.

I don't use any add-ons personally. This is kind of odd since I consider most ES games unplayable without mods.

However, most add-ons out there seem to make the game easier and not harder... Most mods for ES games I use are to increase the immersion and difficulty. Things like making the nights darker, removing compass markers, that sort of thing. I haven't seen too many add-ons yet that make the game harder, just easier.
