Literally within the first two posts, the fanbois were here saying "yeah but WoW promised this, & SwOTR promised this..."

    LMFAO

Actually the first post was about D3 and it was very funny. What is also funny is the people that come in and say if they can prove so and so knowingly lied then they are in serious trouble! You guys are aware that games have launched with things stamped on the box, that were never put in game?

    Serious trouble? Yeah ok.

Its been 6 weeks and 1 day since release. So they aren't exactly horribly late on their deadline there sweetheart.

I experience no lag myself, so its an issue on your end, unless you're on the other side of the world from the servers, then theres nothing you can do

I was also under the impression that we can play ESO the way we like (using the abilities and the style we want) but it seems this is so not true. I know the game is new but... so was D3, there is no excuse to advertise something and sell something else.

Lol what do you mean so was D3..? D3 had so many issues at launch and many many exploits. Hell i still have to run the game in windows XP compatibility mode because they can't seem to fix that issue.

I get lag a lot - I mean just because I am downloading 5gb of steam games, streaming a movie on my tv, and torrenting a beta from another mmo I shouldn't have lag, should I?

Unfortunately I spend more time shuffling inventory around than actually questing. I am at a rate of 5-6 hours of questing followed by 1-2 hours of shuffling inventory around my crafting alts to make room for my main and my resource hog to have room to unload.

Matt Firor promised that we would be receiving content releases every 4-6 weeks as part of the subscription deal. Furthermore he promised a lag free experience.

I feel robbed knowing I was mislead into both purchasing this game and subscribing.

CCP (makers of EVE Online) promise new expansion every 6 months !
And guess what... they deliver ! They put their money where their mouth is, they say what's coming and even give a specific date (months in advance)

And before we get any wiseguy comments, EVE is a subs only game, they have half a million subscribers and EVE is a megaserver game !
They do not have anywhere near the capital or resources of Zenimax/Bethesda and they manage it, so we of ESO should demand the same !

Erm.....with all due respect, Eve Online's concept of an "expansion" isn't the same as an expansion in games like WoW, SWTOR or any other "land based" MMO. CCP releases a few low polygon ships, perhaps a UI overhaul and maybe even a way to walk around stations (which ironically flops years before Star Citizen) and calls that an "expansion".

Plus, let's be fair here, Eve Online has been out for 11 years. If they can't get their measily "expansions" out in 6 months by now then they've really got problems.

My point is that Eve 11 years on is hardly having to deal with the mammoth load of issues that often plague new launches of MMO's.

So let's keep things in perspective shall we?

    false marketing too:

with imperial preorder u CAN CRAFT IMPERIAL GEAR and/or convert YOUR EXISTING GEAR to imperial

you cant craft imperial (1. point) you have to find the motif (but that can any char do).... you can only convert non-set items (or crafted) but then they are bound ... dropped set items are unconvertable (thats my 2. point)

An imperial character can craft imperial armor just as a Bosmer can craft Bosmer armor and a Dunmer Dunmer etc. Said imperial character can then sell the armor or use their bank to transfer it to another character

investors got payed so as pr people and management.

this ended with the official release

everyone got their boni and so now nobody cares

every subscriber / prolonged sub is just a bonus (new accounts get cheaper every day 50 to 40 to 30 to 20 right now, 6 weeks after release)

would love to know where you are seeing these prices. I did a quit goggle and best I could come up with was one in the 40's from a rep dealer. There was a company claiming to be in the EU and manufacturing the game for world wide distribution that was selling copies cheap. Seemed a bit fishy to me sort of like buying and official A.S. Roma jersey from a company in Thailand.

6 months? ESO is a little over a month old, with new content coming out in a week or three? And you're upset?

WoW - the gold standard MMO - won't have new content until sometime after September; they expect people to keep raiding the same thing (oh, you beat lfr, now submit yourself to putting in job applications to doing the same thing but harder now) or grinding that stupid boring Timeless Isle.

I've been playing since 5-day early access. I have three characters, 15, 21, and 35 (my nightblade current main). I'm taking my time, and not WoW-zerging my way to level cap. There'll be lots for me to do in the foreseeable future. But then, I'm no modern ADHD crack-baby.

ESO was promoted with 4 core support, that however doesn't work yet and leads to huge issue´s especially on AMD CPU´s. This must be fixed ASAP and I do hope that they feature this in the next Ask us All.

Besides that, they promised a large variety in their content patches, many assume that the justice system with the DB and Thieves Guild comes next, including a face changer, but also housing is a big feature for many Elder Scrolls fans and I assume that some of these things will be on high priority for the Design Crew right now.

In 2014, and for a game that is being designed for New Gen consoles, Multi-Core Support is a MUST, the new consoles have eight cores dont they? Plus they are AMD CPU's thus if it has problems on AMD PC's they will have way worse problems on consoles. In 2014 Id say games should support 1-16 CPU cores and should all be built for SLI/Crossfire support, which ESO will be getting in 1.1 I beleive.

As for content, im sure the Justice System is not easy to make, I wouldent expect that for, likely over half a year if not an entire year if not more. And Theives Guild/Brotherhood probably wont be touched untill the Justice System is made.

I also dont think the face changer is exactly pressing, I have been able to go like, ten years on WoW without changing my face, Plus It bothers me to think people need to change their face every month, do they also have monthly face reconstructions in reallife?

ESO IS ONLY SEVEN WEEKS OLD, and people are crying that no new content patch is out yet?! Go grind Timeless Isle for the next five or six months, if you're that unhappy with Zenimax's pace.

I'd rather volunteer for a lobotomy than set foot on timeless isle again - a lobotomy is more straight-forward and less boring.

I recall remaking my character because of the lack of zoom in on face bug. It takes practice to use the character creation to get a character your fully happy with. The more complex it is the more practice it requires to get the hang of. And then there is the issue of not seeing what it looks like at certain angles, or any sense of height, until you see it out in game world, as ZOS like many others, refuses to put in some height scale.

WoW character creation was a list of standard clones with little to change. And usually most were covered in the same gear. Was, I felt, a joke of a character creation. Although I came from City of Heroes which had the standard for a very long time.

Even Age of Conan with it's flaws had a more varied character creation than WoW. And often it was a common complaint, the character you thought you made in character creation, looked very different in game world. ESO is not so extreme but has an element of it enough I would love tweak my toons subtly. I can see how someone may be really bothered by it however, and want a less subtle change a bit sooner.

I agree it is perhaps not a high priority issue. But, someone else may point out very good reason it should be higher priority.

The thing is, some of us made our ugly faces ugly b/c of a bug where we couldn't zoom in. Others, including high elves, where the image in character creation isn't the same as live.

Is it top priority? No, not at all. Will I change my face daily? Nope. Just once! Without bugs that screw it up. Although it's kind of fun to make faces. I could see myself touching up my character's face once a month, for sure. Make up would be nice!

Why should it bother you? Who cares what other people do to their appearance. We're conceited - why do you have to be conceited about us being conceited? That's like meta-conceited.

Im amazed that in PvP I can get some lag but its still playable. I get a spike here and there but I give them credit for the work they have done with the slight lag I get. sometimes to people its not just the server that lags you, could be your own ISP, your video card or even your computer so its not always the game designers fault.

Really? That's where you draw the line? Bad marketing? Here's a quote for you:

"Prediction is really hard- especially when it is about the future."

Did you ever tell someone that you were going to do something and then, for whatever reason, were not able (or willing) to actually do it?

    -"Yeah, I'll clean my room"
    -"I'll get the dishes done"
-"I'll be there to pick you up by 7."..."Sorry, I'm late, I didn't mean to show up at 7:15 I just fell asleep on the couch."

People make mistakes, people make promises that they can't always keep because they're not psychics. Sometimes unexpected things come up.
