How many of you feel like this? And why?

Wife and I have been splitting our time evenly between ESO and SWTOR. Didn't start out that way, but the forcing of solo instances in ESO was a huge turnoff to us, and grouping overall just isn't nearly as good.

Hoping they un-screw the grouping piece, or I'll not be able to convince my wife (or myself) to maintain the ESO subscription.

There is just too much wrong with this game.
1.Guild store is terrible - no search function what so ever
    2. Grouping tool is terrible - only sign up for one dungeon, no estimated time
    3. Forced solo quests
    4. VR lvl are unrewarding
    5. Too high armor repair costs
    6. Too high respec costs
    7. Nerfing boss drop rates - you dont nerf a game around bots. The game is for the players, you deal with bots in seperate ways
    8. No EU server
    9. Lags lags lags
    10. If you cure vamp/ WW you dont get the skillpoints back, again a half ar.. Solution

I mean srsly, did we really need ca. 800-900 voiced quests? Why not 'just' 500 and you dont mess up every other aspect of a MMO?

I have no idea how this game ended up like this. Didnt they learn from star wars the old republic? they did exactly the same, only story story story, every other feature was underdeveloped

I love the voice acting, personally - it feels very "Elder Scrolls" to me. But otherwise, I totally agree with you.

well some of them may have quit for other reasons but a lot of us are subscribers Zenimax took our money but they won't let us play cause they say they don't have it.

It's a real shame as you can see the potential there for the game but it needs people who want to get it right ,i mean even Blizzard cared for the first 2 years this lot right off the bat have just shown an attitude which will eventually put ESO on the F2P pile . I cancelled my subscription !

The shortcomings of the game were already visible in beta. Especially the MMO-related aspects felt awkward, while the single player aspects are great. But the game was fresh and it is an Elder Scrolls title, so I guess that's why many people like me bought it anyway.

Now, a few weeks later, it's no longer new and fresh. All the little issues that we looked past in the beginning, become increasingly annoying. On top of that there are serious bugs, balancing issues, bot infestation and what not.

We're looking at the prospect that these issues won't ever be fixed / changed or at least not very quickly. Sadly Zenimax doesn't appear to communicate much with the player base. At least that's my impression. I feel that we, the players, have no advocate. Nobody's listenng, nobody cares. If I'm wrong about that, well then Zenimax isn't trying hard enough to show it.

Add all that up and you have unhappy players who log in a couple minutes a day / a week to start their trait analyses and feed their horse and then log off again. Those people still hope for the future of the game but in its current state will most likely quit very soon.

There are many people that have fun playing this game. As well we have many constructive threads addressing issues. But we really don't need another single frustrated attention thread. If you want to quit, just quit and don't forget to post it on facebook for sharing with the world. ;)

I come on, feed my horse, and log off again until two things are resolved:

    - Bots
    - VR content

I won't spend my time to VR10 completing two more factions. I want to PvP or do group dungeons, but as VR1 it's both hard to level that way.

It's not that it's no longer fresh, it's that the developers have been actively sabotaging the game in the name of hunting down bots. Just ask anyone who specced into provisioning in the first month how they're feeling about that decision now. Or the players that actually enjoyed hunting down those encampments and delves, if they like having to take a break between them. To say nothing of the players doing public dungeons that basically have to choose between getting credit for their kills or heading off for a coffee mid boss run. Or, of course anyone who has the misfortune of playing near the bots, and watches their gear slag because of the antiswarming mechanics.

I could play the game at launch, but now... I mean, I fully expect them to keep breaking it so it's unpalatable for the bots only to look up, declare victory, and then ask, "guys? Guys? Where are you?"

There are and there were. The point is for Zenimax to start receiving the message, otherwise we can all "play politicians" and sweep the world under the rug so that everyone else is happy.

And I don't think people should have to check and gather up all their complaints in a single thread for your personal viewing pleasure. Human beings are NOT trash and please stop treating them that way.

    To the point...

When entering the MMO world today, one has to realize that this genre has a political system in its base, either most like it or not. Once there are people that deposit cash each month, they better have a reason to keep doing so. Besides the PvP festival of complaints (happens in all games), the requirements of the player base are pretty much straightforward and reasonable.

Now, if the company chooses to act like it's a single player game and behaves in a "fire and forget", then it won't work. This isn't Skyrim that they released to the masses with modding capability. In that case they could simply place the game out for sale and then forget all about it. In MMOs, the base concept is radically different. And in most cases I haven't seen people making any insane requests. It's all very logical, very reasonable. Basically the responses we're getting belong to... certain real world political regimes, where everyone alive is remembered right before elections. Then, they're left to rot.

But in the game world, there aren't just 2-3 parties that can cycle around and stay in power so that they can give the illusion to the rest of the world that "something is changing" (it changes alright, only for the worse). There are hundreds if not more. And once a title is left behind, it's for good. So if ZOS wants to keep its subscribers, they have to completely revamp their strategy. Arrogance comes before the fall... and it's usually a very painful fall.

And no corporation in the world will ever, ever, ever, ever listen to anything (this includes many people too), unless it hurts the one magical place: their pocket.

So yeah, if some people see their guilds emptying up, the rest deserve to know why and not sweep it away and "play happy".

My personal biggest issue is that ZOS decided to say "hey EU, you're not worth our time so we'll just keep our branded 'EU Megaserver' in the US and your entire continent of 500m people can go jump off a very big bridge". So, add some severe latency to the rest of the problems list and one can see a pretty volatile mix.

To make it simple in a few steps:
    1. Big latency & actions non responsive (game thinks and acts like the mobs and all the red areas are on top of you while they're not)
    2. Application of tactics and strategies severely lose effectiveness (some mobs can be insanely lucky with their crits; never in my life have I seen a normal enemy take down 75-80% of a player's health in one normal shot, only in TESO)
    3. Reception of severe durability penalties by simply being in combat
    4. Deal with outrageous prices and repairs (908g repairs for a level 19 character for one hour or so of gameplay with no deaths... seriously?!)
    5. Return to step 1 and repeat

I literally saw one normal NPC run up to a retreating player (player @50% of his health), then suddenly turn around (as if it smelled dinner) without even waving its weapon. And the player was dead. That's some "great" server-client communication there!

And I haven't even mentioned the rest of the bugs or the bot hordes.

ZOS took a rich lore and turned it into a punishment fest.

But then again... "It's working as intended"! The all famous phrase that is written down in history!

Again, there are multiple constructive threads its enough to have them. We don't need single threads from each person who is frustrated , not readed by most anyway ... And most of them are getting closed anyway.

This thread was intended to be constructive, in the sense that, I am trying to understand myself, and maybe help the developpers understand why the game is bleeding players.
