Subscribers not playing?

I have observed a pattern in my guild. On over 300 members, about 80 of them subscribe to the game, but dont actually feel like playing. I mean the icon is on their desktops, with like 2 other games, and they never feel like even opening the game. Some open it, play like 10 minutes, then go meh, close it, and do something else...

How many of you feel like this? And why?

It's not meh, it's bots for me.

I refuse to support gold sellers in any way. So I can not get what I need to make new gear for my character, unless I want to BUY, which I will not do.

So I am Bot Blocked from playing as intended.

So I log, check mail (1 Material and 9 or more gold sellers.com spam), work on learning traits if any are open, step outside, get stampeded by the bot locust swarm, and then log out.

How do you know they aren't playing, or what games are on their desktops? Some people like me mark myself as "Offline" so my guild mates or friends can't see when I'm on. There are times when I want to play without interruption from my guildies and friends.

Had a few days off recently due to real life events. We should have had a RP session tonight and I was not there because my motorcycle needed some new parts fitting. Took all day, and a run out for testing. I sub, but, real life you know. I need these things sorting out.

I feel bad that I could not make tonights RP, as it was listed on guild site and even the Leader could not make it I feels bad.

Other than that, I seriously cannot wait to get back in...This game is awesome!

I kind of feel this way.

Mostly because of the state of PvP:
-Tanks are gods with block(especially DK), until their stamina is dry. Can dish out just as much dps as "glass cannon" builds.

-There is very little skill involved in the PvP, you are basically forced into the raid ball strategy to all stack in a ball and spam AE cc, AE dps, AE heals, AE ultimates. You cannot pick out targets in this ball to effectively focus them down, you cannot hit more than 6 of them at a time, and their heals will smart target those that are injured. The best AE in the game is also point blank area effects, which just adds another reason to just run together as a ball straight into the enemy, and pick off their smaller bunches.

-Waiting on Crag to release

-Respec is too expensive at 215+ points(or I would respec and try something else just to keep it fresh) If you're going to make it charge per skill point, atleast let us pick which skill points we want to respec(maybe make the price to respec crafting to significantly higher amounts so it isnt abused)

Or maybe make it so you can respec categories. Class skills, Weapon skills, Armor etc. Then they can make the crafting one significantly higher.

No idea if they are really still even paying, or even have the program installed still, but I can tell you, my group that used to be all active, are now down to literally 8 people that still come on....

yea my guild got about 250 members i barely see past 25 on at a time

I have been having trouble doing an LFG for spindle-whatever today and my 400+ member guild has been especially quiet (It Saturday after all) today.

I can't come on all the time due to real life events and when I do come on I'm mostly AFK a lot . That's why I visit the forum often since it's easier to manage and I could just get up and go when needed .

I cant progress to the AD vet quests because 2 quest hubs are bugged for me in Stormhaven. So I cant complete Caldwells Silver. After about 5 days of trying to get help/fix the problem, Ive kind of given up. There's other games out there that are a more enjoyable waste of time. And its just vet grinding anyways. Hardly fun. Tried going for the 'Pact Hero' title while I wait for a fix or some help. But I'm stuck at 58/62 quests in Shadowfen now.

Customer Service told me to report my original problem as a bug 2 days ago. Still no actual help. Or reasoning behind the problems.

The game just feels really unfriendly/uninviting for an MMO. Not the playerbase, but the game in general, and how things are done.

I re-subbed because I wanted to see what V10 was like. But now it seems I may not see it till sometime after Craglorn is released. If they actually fix my specific problem. But it sounds like they are swamped with other problems for the time being.

Playing this game right now just puts a bad taste in my mouth personally.

Bots for starters; & IMO overall the content feels recycled.

There are no "branches" of questing levels that would allow you to NOT do a certain questline or area. I feel obligated to following their cookie-cutter 'open world' from known quest area to known quest area, because there are few "in between" quests.

I know people complain about being an adventurer, & lowering themselves to finding lost Guar & the like. .
...but I'm talking more about the ghosts in the lighthouse & the random lairs of beasts along the countryside, maybe wrecked ships with ghostly captains..

It ...just seems lacking still.

Part of a problem with being an alt-o-holic. I've been everywhere, & seen everything because I play all three pact areas simultaneously. The areas are woefully mis-balanced in every way from resources to questlines. & I can't even imagine for the life of me doing VR "content"

(& I use the term content oh-so-loosely)

Going to play Skyrim while they get this mess figured out.

I haven't logged on for more then 30 minutes total all week. I tried to keep my faith up in ZOS, but I see too much wrong right now. I am losing interest.

The bots... my guild`s morale was fine even with the bugs at launch or the downtimes... however most of them leveled since early access so they stayed ahead of the bots.

When they started to roll alts tho... and saw the bot army most unsubbed. Each day i could hear an amazed guildie on TS "what the hell is with the bots i saw none when i leveled the first time now there are hundreads".

A few quit when they realized how unbalanced the game was, i could spam kill a world boss via Crystal Shard spam while they could not with their physical damage build...

A lot of the people i play with who(like me) said they would never buy Wildstar due to the crappy graphics.... are now there. I don`t even know if that game launched or not but on the TS the Wildstar channel now has more people in it vs ESO.

Today I never logged on at all. Which will be the trend now. Until my sub expires. Culprit being their servers, and a few bad game design decisions.

This game is dirty. Their main focus now is to clean it up for the console Christmas release. Which is fine, but I would never pay to watch a developer mop floors until then.

I've started to play less because of the drastic decrease of good loot from lootable items such as wardrobes, dressers, etc. I'm trying to find all the recipes as I go since you can't get lower level recipes if you level up too much. So I've gone from playing 12-16 hours a day and finding a good amount of recipes to playing only a few hours a day and finding maybe a recipe per week.

not being able to successfully level in pvp is the biggest reason for me. I really dislike PVE, but we are forced to PVE in this game. If it had been like this in Beta, I wouldn't have purchased.

Got vr1 other night, and im totally burned out. After about 20 min i log off.

I really want to try something else with my character but im unable as the respec cost is way to high for me personally (not a farmer, gold is limited!). And have very little desire to roll another character. So yeah we'll see, will keep sub running until Watch_Dogs, then im thinking ill take a break. Maybe return 50 patchs down the road.

For me it's just i want to play for a few hours without being disturbed and i haven't gotten that lately. I like the game still but just i have trouble picking it up ( any game at that) but once i do pick it up ill play the *** out of it

I have good days and bad days. My main is a VR1 Sorc and I really enjoy playing her. Maybe I've been lucky but Bots have not been an issue except for in Dungeons occasionally. My only complaint atm is that in my first Vet area there are virtually no resources........ maybe I do have a Bot problem

It's the bots and rare loot for me, I'm sick and tired of dealing with the crap that ends up in my bags in the pursuit of a Motif or something useful, It's becoming a chore.....

Isn't this sad how a game with potential turned into this? I've been playing almost every day since pre launch and I beat the bot army into VR but now this recycled generic after game is not making me as motivated as lv1 through lv 50
What is ZEN going to do? Is there hope?

I play on a lower populated server "Wabba" EU where EP rule the roost but boy they cannot PVP. They are so used to running in a zerg they just cant think for themselves.

DC and Dominion on the other hand can PVP at least the players who have been there for some time. We basically hunt gankers and often its 1v1. I am only V2 but I can easily take down v10s and even 2 or 3v1 because EP cant seem to PVP very well.

If your on the busiest PVP servers then of course its just gonna be massive battles which makes it hard to focus single targets.

EP try to gank our lvl 10s so the Veterans gank them at there quest areas and at our gates. We often win battles where we are outnumbered and I genuinely find this fun. Its a challenge but it makes us better at PVP. Also Vamp ability does nothing in smaller groups, its only effective in numbers as one unfortunate EP (V10) found out after being killed 8 times (trying to use vamp ulti) before realizing he wasn't gonna be able to gank our lvl 10 noobie players.

Look at it this way;

Better for those players who seriously LOVE the lore & the world Bethesda has created over the years take a break & walk away than allow irritation to grow into overstated grievances.

As a former fanboi; thoroughly disillusioned, I can honestly say I wish I had never bought the game.

At least then I would have taken all the forum nonsense & reviews with a grain of salt, seen the pushback of console, & realized I needed to wait for it.


Instead I made the mistake of becoming active on the forums,

Thereby allowing everyone elses' problems to bleed over into my gaming experience, which quickened the intensity of my own negative experiences during gametime.

I'm sorry for those of you who have lost touch with friends you made because they no longer play, hopefully they will peek back in from time to time & see the dedication the developers have towards their ultimate goals in the title.
