not exactly no, i usually hang in between run back routes with a couple of my IRL friends and try to take on groups of 2-3 at a time with them, that's when i'm not sieging, but i see your point.So this guy probably spends the majority of his pvp life hiding in the bushes, waiting for someone to run by on a horse so he can jump and smack them to death in complete suprise, with little to no risk, then complains because someone smashes him in the face with a shield, and says they have no honor.
I play a nightblade, and I hate DK, and I often...OFTEN jump people on horses and gleefully kill them. Theres no honor in any PVP kill. First thing I learned in this game in particular, if you try to play with some class, you're an idiot. Personally I dont like being an idiot, which is why I also use a shield and bash people in the face, after I knock them off their horse.

^^ this guy gets me.shield bash itself is NOT a problem. actually the dmg is decent (with rings etc. it gets really high, but you can scale other skills as well)
the problem is that you BLOCK at the same time while doing an insane amount of DPS.
Blocking makes you immun to CC
Blocking reduces your incoming dmg extremly
you can even increase your movementspeed while blocking to make its last flaws go away.

Iv'e been optimistic about this game since the start, iv'e put up with a fair few things.
but in this case i want to atleast get my opinion out there.
I'd say about 90% of the time i die in cyradiil it's me being killed in say.. idk 10-13 seconds maybe less by some dude who literally charges at me, and shield bashes me to death, i mean it sounds stupid but there's no honor in this.. it's literally a skill-less kill, i mean yeah i'm a nightblade, i spend most of my time poping out of the shadows and killing people before they get a chance to do anything either.. but i mean atleast i have a variety of abilities i need to use in quick succession in order for me to simply stay alive, these dudes are dragonknights most of the time and they just charge and shield bash, dying isn't fun, and i guess no one would like it, but this isn't fun to the point where i'm actually getting frustrated and logging off... i'm not going to do anything drastic like threaten to cancel my subscription if it isn't fixed or something, but idk.. i just don't like it, it's an annoyance... it's bringing my fun train to a rocky halt.

✭✭PvP is about killing before you're killed, by any means available. However annoying it maybe at the time.
While you're complaining about the shield bash, another player will be complaining about being downed by night blades hiding in the bushes ambushing them as they ride past. To them you'll be skill-less because you need to hide & attack from behind.

Well, these are fantasy games where the size or sex of your character does not influence anything, where you beat dragons with a stick you looted from an animal, its a world where a single sword hit can do AOE when in real life you gonna get parried by the first guy and hurt by the 2 others...but its fun to be the masterhero of desaster in these video games, right? :-)
The point is that devs need to find a balance for these fantasy characters with their unrealistic skills and magic items.

Show me the DK doing it. No DK can do it against competent players since the infinite/stacking batswarm problem. And sorcerors could also do that. You can CC break while laying flat on your back? Cause that is how this is happening. DK Rushes and knocks you down, then does several shield bashes and your dead.
It's getting fixed in 1.1.1 so we can all look forward to it.
Hopefully Bolt Escape is next because that ability needs a mana cost increase.

Lucky crit on a mob? You can do it every single time if your ultimate is up and fully charged. There's no luck to it. I haven't done PvP on my nightblade yet so I don't know what it hits for against players but if it's less than 2k I'd be surprised.

So is this a bash against DKs or just shield bash in particular. Seems to me that you dislike shields. A little common sense information. ANY CLASS CAN EQUIP A SHIELD AND BASH. ANY. CLASS. Not simple enough?
A NB can equip whatever armor and weapon and go shield bash whatever they want. The skill line is under weapons not your class. A dragon knight just has some fire abilities for being a melee class. A NB has similiar skills for sneaking and can bash as well as a DK. A sorcerer can also bash, and OMG, a templar can also bash with a shield.
So to the OP I'm unsure where your complaint stems from. Next you'll complain that since I play a DK that I should not use a fire staff and PBAOE you to death. I do this via a nice root/snare and lots of fire attacks. You just died to a non bashing DK. Wow.
It seems that maybe your just a bad player at pvp. Complaining that someone hit you with a shield and killed you does not make the game unbalanced. It makes you a bad player. Maybe you should go play Space Invaders, no shield bashing there, Tic-Tac-Toe also has no shield Bash. But then you might want to complain about people use the X improperly, or they drew an oval instead of a circle.
Simply put, your claim has no merit. Your arguement has no basis. And if you honestly believe that being bashed with a shield has ruined your game, feel free to quit and move on. QQing about it in the forums is a moot point. I'll take my AOE DK and nuke you to ash in the field. All without a shield. Good luck with pvp in the future, it seems you may want to rethink your gaming style as this is a classless game where you can play anything the way you want.3 -

Dude, can you honestly say that pressing 2 buttons and blocking the entire time requires more skill than going into stealth, choosing the right time to strike, applying the right amount of buffs/debuffs so that you don't get messed up, and than using the right combination of abilities to actually kill someone?PvP is about killing before you're killed, by any means available. Lucky crit on a mob? You can do it every single time if your ultimate is up and fully charged. There's no luck to it. I haven't done PvP on my nightblade yet so I don't know what it hits for against players but if it's less than 2k I'd be surprised.
