Why is it always raining?

It's clearly a ploy by the Maormer.

Im only happy when it rains.
I will still look across the lands from my perch at Arrius, Nerf or no I will still be the Night. I may not be the hero Ebonheart Pact wanted but I will be the hero Ebonheart pact deserves.

Have done, boy did it rain, it came down in sheets, literally. In Britain it rains most of the year, but short of a hurricane we don't get anything like that.

I actually looked forward to sandstorms as they are done so well. Like generally in the game, the sound effects are truly great.

I'd forgotten about the sandstorms after being sent to play in jungles for the last week or so. Those Sandstorms were amazing. WTB more zones with those, though I'm sure I've yet to hit some.

I think the weather effects are nice for the different types of zones, and definitely add to the ambiance they have to offer.

When I go to Glenumbra, I get that feeling of dreariness, sorrow, mystery, and omen spreading across the land because of the billowing storm clouds and constant rain that area seems to have, for instance. The same goes for Betnikh. Then, there are the auroras of Bleakrock Isle, and the other types of weather effects you see in other zones like sandstorms, blizzards, etc.

I do wish the weather wouldn't change so abruptly from sunny day to thunderstorm, though. In most regions, it seems to never actually just 'rain' without being accompanied with thunder of some kind, and you never see it drizzle in the game before-and-after the rain lets go/up. Other effects like fog would definitely add to the experience (albeit, only if it rains at night in certain regions, it should leave a fog during morning hours) in zones like Glenumbra or Grahtwood, but I can only be left with thinking how resource-intensive that could be in the long run for lower-end PCs.

Definitely agreed, though. I think the more robust the weather system becomes in the game, the more immersible the experience itself will be.

Ok, could this be a time of day thing? Like the game is programmed to do this at specific times everyday? I mostly play on weekdays anytime between 7pm-11pm. When I play on weekends, I occasionally get clear weather but only about 15% of the time. But weeknights, 3 characters, 3 zones, always pouring.

I know I sound crazy and that this is probably a non issue for most people. But it seriously affects my drive to play. I want some variety and to enjoy the awesome visuals of this game.
