She already was nerfed although she was very easy. Maybe you should try some different builds.

Thats a pretty farking useless comment - how the hell are we supposed to try different builds? We can't respec at all in that zone and if we could it would be too expensive.

I just tried at a appropriate level this time - last time I was seriously overlevelled. Its still unbalanced. You can't kite into an open enough area to kill all the spheres before she completely heals. One thing about making her a bit weaker that is an improvement - is I could actually escape without getting killed.

I don't mean this to be a QQ post, but I'm really frustrated and hoping I can get some insight.

I got to Doshia with a L8 Templar and couldn't even come CLOSE to defeating her. After I tried until my gear was completely broken, I decided I must have built my character wrong because he was just too weak. I researched some builds and made another Templar. Haven't gotten back there with her yet, so we'll see.

However, I got to her with a L11 Dragon Knight that I know was built pretty decently. I have a lot of health (intended to be a tank), what I believe are the right skills for where I am in the game (Razor Armor, Choking Talons, that Earthy-hammer knockdown, etc.). Again, not a chance!

I read forum posts (here and other sites) about her, and asked in /zone. People keep saying to kill the orbs before they get to her and heal her. I never saw any orbs, but I did notice her getting healed up while I kept dying...then I saw a video on YouTube demonstrating the fight.

Watching that video, I can barely see the orbs. They're very translucent. I'M COLORBLIND. I haven't seen any colorblind video options to help me see things better. How am I supposed to get this done? Usually in an MMO, when I need help with something (either because of my disability or because I suck) I can bring a friend to help. This is a forced-solo instance.

    Hello JBerleyJr,

First of all sorry for my English (my native language is French). I read your topic and I encountered the same problem with Doshia. The developers changed her battle behavior 2-3 weeks ago, I my opinion she was easier to kill than now. Well, the past doesn't interest us; I will try to give you the most important hints to kill her with a Templar or a Dragon Knight.

    With The Templar:
    1) Create/ find or buy some food that increases your max Mana.
    2) Create /find or buy some health potions (quick slot).
    3) You need a basic health restoration spell.
    4) You need a basic attack slot.

When Doshia is in her human form, attack her until she reveals her true nature. Then escape, because she will restore her entire health when she transform. Once your health is restored, the serious business begins.

When you attack her, always turn around (close combat you have to be almost next to her but always moving around her). It is very important to be always in movement because of her strong magical attack on the ground. When she performs the magical attack she doesn't move and if you are in movement you will be in her back and you can use a strong melee attack.

She will probably get her health back once without any orbs appearing (it's normal). You attack again and do not forget turning around her. After a while, she will take you in her arms and split your soul. Each time she takes you in her arms 4 orbs while appear. It is important to destroy at least 3 of 4 orbs. Then you repeat the whole tactic.

If things turn bad, for example she absorbs 2-3 orbs, run away and hide... so your equipment will not take damages.

    With Dragon Knight:
It is the same tactic the difference is:
    1) Create/ find or buy some food that increases your max Health.

The rest is the same, turning around and attack.

Maybe you should not use the first person mode against her.

I hope I could help you.

If you have any knockbacks (eg Inferno Staff or 2H) you can mash her into the back wall. Given this you can manage to avoid her ground target lightning very easily. Just keep attacking from afar with light/heavy attacks. When she lifts you and drops you again keep targeting the orbs with <TAB> and destroy them with a single light range attack. Being melee this encounter is much about circling around and avoid her lightning in the first. Did her with my 4th char lately, a level 9 sorc and found her a breeze as I get used to do that encounter it seems ;-)
Colorblindness is truely an issue as it comes to the orbs, targetting with <TAB> should give you at least a direction where they come.

The one he's referring to IS a forced-solo main story mob, level 30.

Is it an idea to push against wall? Faced two other harvester in coldharbor, first was cakewalk, attack, then hit balls continue attacking and she went down.
On the second I died twice, thought about it and found that the clanfear keep her close to an fence and stairs, this spawns the balls next to her giving short time to hit them and hard to target, off with clanfear, pull her out in the open kill balls then harvester.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

As for Doshia pushing her into the wall facing the stairs is definitily an option as you can act from the stairs (with range attacks only of course). She will spawn the orbs in all 4 corners making you see and kill 3 at all times. If you manage to get all 4 she is dead in 2 rounds. If you get 3 the fight lasts a bit longer but you should be pretty safe from being damaged.

I too am having trouble with the second Doshia fight. The one connected to the main story. [not fighters guild one] My Templar is stuck there, she is above lv 30 [33 I think] and has all Orichalgun armour on, I tried several different builds yet she still destroys me in a few hits with her big attack, I have tried keeping on the move, tried killing all the orbs yet it seems impossible as she spams her big move so damn often and there is NO way of predicting it to my mind, as there is not exactly a huge build up to the move [which would be helpful] and she just does it right away and PULLS you into position and does it before you get a chance to do anything including moving. I have tried the best tactics as described in this thread and still its too much. This boss is OP.

My problem as first was I never saw the orbs till they were hitting Doshia. Then I discovered on two characters the orbs were clipping out (no idea why on only two). The way I do this fight now is if melee rush in take health down then back off to wall when the orbs show run back in kill the orbs which heal you then take out Doshia. Since doing this battle using this strat I haven't lost yet on 3 different characters

For me, the solution was to break out the bow and get up on the platform at the bottom of her pit. She'll come stand on the left side and do her thing. From there I could hit her at range and see the orbs coming in quickly enough to take them out. I also loaded some self heals prior to the fight. This won't solve the color blindness issue but perhaps it will help someone else. I've used this strategy with both a DK and an NB.

If it makes you feel better, Veteran Rank Harvester mobs in the wild are close to unbeatable. :) So far I have seen anyway, they hit me for over 60% of my hp with their aoe stun before they release their healing orbs. I could probably just suck at fighting them, but they sure do give me issues.

That is an interesting dilemma. I don't think I've ever seen any mainstream games built with colorblindness in mind (bearing in mind that color blindness comes in many flavors).

You have two options that I can think of:
    * Outlevel the content, come back when you're like level 15-20.
    * Focus on burst DPS. Watch a video on her to see her behavior when she summons orbs. Wear her down, and when you see that behavior in-game, do as much burst DPS as you can to her. It may take a few tries.

I finished this fight at level 9 doing the latter, I couldn't be bothered to kill the orbs. I circled around her throughout the fight and took almost no damage thanks to avoiding her spells, and when she summoned the orbs I emptied my entire mana/stamina bars on her. Easy kill.

As I recall DAoC would add "+" next to each mobs depending on difficulty for color blind so if you saw a mob with "+++" you knew not to attack it. But in this game I think could be very frustrating for colorblind as a friend of mine has the same issues.

problem is seeing the orbs not the dots, still I have died trying to solo two dot world bosses thinking they was the solo if careful one dot ones.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I'm going to try to burst her down (I've seen people say they can kill her before she transforms). I don't think Silver Bolt is much of an option for me unless I come back MUCH later. The only skill I have from Fighter's Guild so far is Intimidating Presence.

Silver Bolts is real easy. Just join the Fighter's Guild and go fight all the anchors and fissures you can find, you will level to 2 right away and then the bolts are yours.
