Gold spam to my real life Email address
I have received gold spam to my registration account for the first time in 15 years of playing MMOs.

It's a notification from the forum that you have received a private message. Lots of us got them. It isn't the spammers emailing you directly, it is the private message that is spam. There is a big red banner at the top of the page that refers to it.0 -

gasmic✭I too received an email from a gold spammer...I can't possibly imagine how this could happen, despite what's been said above...I DO NOT have the box checked to allow ppl to see my email on posts...1 -
sylviermoone✭✭✭✭✭And no one sees your email on the forum @gasmic . But the forum is set up to automatically send emails to your registered email address when a private message is sent. THAT is the email in your inbox, and if you'd rather not get them, turn the notification off.

DrywFiltiarn✭✭✭It's not spammers immediately spamming you it's a forum notification mail for receiving a private message on these boards. Unless you have leaked your emailaddress yourself, no-one on the forums can see it.
Also you can turn off these private message notifications, so you don't get them in your mail anymore.0 -

✭We'd like to assure you all that if the email you received is from community@elderscrollsonline.com, then it is an automated forum notification. These email notifications happen when someone sends you a private message on the forums by default.
You can change your notifications by going here and selecting Notification Preferences on the left menu bar. This allows you to adjust when you get a forum notification (popup) and when you get emails. It's possible to fully disable either by un-checking all of the categories.0
