I know I can open the EU one for Apr 30 to see something about the NA server, but being in NA, I expect to find info on the NA server in threads with NA in the title.

Cheers

Yes, its clearly stated when trying to log into client, and clearly stated in server status.

There is maintenance happening to NA.

Edit: However it does not include the date or that it's NA in the title. ;) So maybe its not quite as "clear" as I thought.

Actually the title is "ESO Maintenance for Patch v1.0.6" so yeah, it doesn't say NA, but as we are all aware that patch 1.0.6 is coming to NA that should be ok to get your attention. (http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/90091/eso-maintenance-for-patch-v1-0-6#latest)

There is, It's the first post in the server status. However the title is not very informative as to what server and what day.

"ESO Maintenance for Patch v1.0.6" is the title

Yes, this is what I'm talking about.

The EU message refers to a different maintenance. The patch maintenance for EU is later today/tomorrow in CET.
It is the very first thread in server status. And it does not refer only to EU. See my above post for link.

If you scroll down you will see the EU thread about when it came down and then when it came up....all previous downtimes have been like that...but not the NA this time. Some people would like to log in from say a tablet and see if the server it up yet, but with no message specifically about the NA server...like EU got one....then they do not know.

As stated... It IS there. It just does not have a very informative title. It IS for the NA server, and they will post updates to it just like the EU one, it is not completed yet, because it is not completed.. only thing different is a less informative title.

The EU maintenance was an unscheduled (read: emergency) maintenance - NOT the 1.0.6 patch push scheduled maintenance.

Hence it got it's own thread. Hence the thread only updates on the EU server.

The NA regular (consider that word in air quotes) schedule maintenance for patch 1.0.6 is covered in the thread for...wait for it...the patch 1.0.6 maintenance.

Now, was that bit of IQ dropping circular explanation - clear enough? (I'm not laying bets here...I prefer not to lose.)

One...that thread does not say April 30th for people quickly looking....that equals bad communication...

Two...EU got a separate thread with April 30th in the title...that equals good communication for people that do not languish all day on the forum....

Clear communication is supposedly what this forum is for....for this instance it is not happening for people.

no. thats a different downtime that wasn't for the patch. The downtime for EU where the patch is applied is stated in the exact same thread as the US downtime.

But anyway, as people seem to have problems they should maybe have named it something wiht EU and NA in the title instead of none of the Servers in the title. Just please don't start that 'the other server gets better service' whining again, because that's not the case.

Seriously? They gave 24 hours notice, specifically noted the time the NA sever would be taken offline today, and then updated the post this morning when they took it down.

I think the whole argument is that EU got a separate post that's clearly marked EU and includes a date, while NA just got an update at the bottom of the original post (for both servers) I personally had no issues finding information on the status.

Seriously? AU and SEA players getting the short end of stick again? Twice a week for regular maintainance + often 'ad hoc' maintainance. Almost 1/3 of the paid time is not available for playing and you expect us to continue subscribing?

Yeah, that is the whole issue. It looks like a mistake they made today, because for all other maintenance windows they include the server in the thread title.

My goal wasn't to incite the community. I thought maybe someone in charge would read it and update the thread title to make it more clear for those that don't presently have the ability to fire up the launcher or feel like re-reading upcoming patch notes posted a couple of days ago .

and again: The EU server didn't get a seperate post! They got an additional emergency maintenance this morning. The maintenance the NA server is currently undergoing is yet to come for EU tomorrow morning. So there is no issue expect that maaaybe "ESO Maintenance for Patch v1.0.6 EU+NA" would have been clearer than "ESO Maintenance for Patch v1.0.6"

@Nooblet, the maintenance currently being performed on the NA server is implementation of patch 1.06. There was a single post re: this patch, applicable to both the NA and EU servers - there wasn't and isn't a separate post re: the 1.06 patch for the EU server.
I'm pretty easygoing, but it's sad that we have a thread which would have been avoided if people playing on the NA server actually *read* posts in the Server Status section that could apply to them (i.e., posts that have a subject written in English).

Why didn't they do this yesterday when the server was already down for maintenance.

It doesn't even take a fart of brain power to determine which is the appropriate maintenance thread.

If a person couldn't figure that one out I'd be quite content if they unsubscribed, frankly. :|

Patch was all screwed up, took about 4,5 hours to get EU server back online, so the just canceled maintenance for NA yesterday.

Well...You can't be entirely sure...I mean, conspiracy theories and all that...

But it might have something to do with the post about how there was an error with the patch they wanted to push, that would require them to fix it first, thus they cancelled yesterday's NA maintenance and it never actually happened?

But you know, that's just a guess.

the main post I've been reading lists the regularly scheduled down times...which is supposed to include Thursday morning maintenance. Does this one count as an emergency? And now we will have two mornings in a row down, right?

I personally am not enjoying having to check a website regularly (sometimes to no avail) to see when I'll be able to schedule my game time.
This is all part of the game.
