Why is this game not a sandbox?

While not a 'sandbox' in the traditional, open-world, Skyrim sense, it's a whole bunch of smaller, level-guided sandboxes. Within your current zone there's really nothing you won't be able to beat or run away from once you've done some work for the locals.

So, really... just run until something piques your interest. Just don't run too far.
Brunhilda Icehammer - Nord Dragonknight, 'Smith & Enchantress 'What is 'ranged? I need to hit something!!'
Laehl Direthorn - Bosmer Nightblade, Purveyor of fine Clothes, Bows and Staves
Reeza gra-Zuni - Orc Templar 'War Shaman' and Apothecary
Noemi Snowpaw - Kajiit Dragon Knight - I laugh... or I'd have to kill you.
Kitera Dreamon - Breton of The Dominion: Because those Daggers don't appreciate a great Mage.
Lysara Shadowcroft - Dunmer Bloodmage: This will only hurt a lot.

Out of all the recent MMO's I've played, and I've played a lot, this is the first one that I really feel like dedicating my time to. Yeah there are a lot of bugs with the game, but I am really enjoying it. I love the crafting. I am enjoying the main quest line. I like the combat style and how it feels very different than a typical MMO. I really like the skill tree that seems to have almost endless different possibilities and that the devs have already said they are going to be adding to in the future. I have enjoyed the instanced dungeons that I've ran, and I love the PvP. This is the first MMO that I've played where I haven't felt the need to rush to max level. I am perfectly happy taking my time and enjoying the story line of the quests. I can't think of any MMO that I've played where I didn't hit max level in the first few weeks.

So other than fixing the bugs and continuing to work on giving us more end game content for the future. I don't really want to see them change to much with this game.

When I think sandbox MMO I think dayz or rust. Both of those games are very fun but I couldn't see that model working with ESO.

Hello. I'm new in the forums, but what the hell were the developers thinking?? ES has always been about sandboxes and this game isn't?!?!? Some of the quests are boring as hell. Where is TG or DB quests? 5/10. I expected more from you ESO.

news just in: this is NOT Elders Scrolls VI, this another type of game based on ES lore. Also, if you took off your rose coloured glasses you might realise, not every quest in all the ES games that came before were interesting either. In fact I cant name a single game ever in which every single quest was gold.

PS they were clear well before launch those guilds would be coming later.

LOL. I expected an Elder Scrolls game, but I got crap. You may want a WOW clone, but I don't. I played wow for two months and stopped. It was so boring. People need to wake up and smell the roses and see that this game has major flaws.

You spent 2 months in World of Warcraft, 1 month in TESO, and now you're an expert enough in both to call one a clone of the other. Please, sell your account to a gold farmer. They're more intelligent and somehow, bring more to the game than you do.
