I swear i will donate two grand to zenimax, if you can make open world pvp, and a better pvp system that is not all about zerg. This game is starting to go carebear quickly.

I don't think they would need that much. The things you ask for can be easely done with 750$ max.

    Average developer gets about $30-35/hr.

    So, let's say 500 hours * $35/hour = $17,500

Of course, ZOS would probably consider this consulting work, at which the going rate is usually more like $100/hr (yeah, that's right. the suits pimp us out to their clients).

1/3rd of Tamriel is PvP. Cyradill is huge. Typically those that QQ for "open world" PvP, are looking only to grief, harass, and gank those that are much lower in level.

This PvP system, adopted from DAOC, is awesome for those of us that love the PvP but hate the ganking found rampant in any game that touts "open world" PvP.

Once you learn the Cyr PvP system, and once more people hit 50, then you will see that you dont need your ganking of lower levels to enjoy a true pvp environment.

Not to kill lowbies, you have the idea all wrong, its more like to challenge other high end guilds, in small 5v5's and 10v10 in the open world. OR a PVP system that has a bit of competition. I could care less for greifing.

Please no open world PvP. In my experience PvP tends to draw too many sociopaths and psychopaths who only live to spoil other people's game. You turn off all the people who only want limited or no PvP and you kill the a big part of the customer base. Call us all the names you want (carebear, etc.) but not everybody gets a thrill from killing another real person's character or by being killed while we are busy just playing. It spoils my fun a lot when somebody 20 levels higher than me named "Noobslayer" swoops down on me while i am harvesting and one shots me.

Then they mock you and spawn camp you.

You have open world PvP, and you can have guild vs guild, set it up. And you can gank PvEr's who choose to go into Cy to quest. So lets be honest about what you REALLY want.

One thing though is the Cy pve quests should give far better experience since the risk is a lot higher, it should be desirable.

edit: Cy quest should be THE rewards quest to fight over.

Wouldn't be enough to make up for all the people who would quit if they did make it open world pvp.

That would be one of two things they could do that would make me drop my sub instantly.

First...how would that work? Would people in their own alliance attack each other? That doesn't sound right. Now if they had a justice and crime system I suppose you could justify it, but atm it doesn't fit in with the setting.

Why should we donate? That is the entire point of a monthly subscription, for ZOS to develop new content. Give it time guys the game has been out for less than 1 month!

I'm sure they'll develop pvp arenas and pvp worlds. To be honest Aion did a great job with end game pvp content. Tiamaranta and stuff worked great and it adds an element of risk when questing.

The pvp worlds should have world bosses which spawn randomly around the map along with quests and other incentives. Basically all three alliances are fighting over boss spawns and other rich pickings.

Not many people like zerg v zerg and not many people like grinding in zerg v zerg for 3 million ap to buy V10 epics. Give us more ways to earn ap.

I can solve this for you.

Step 1: Go to one of the multiple PVE quest hubs in Cyrodiil.

    Step 2: Attack people.

Can I have my $2000 now please?

PvP is all good it isn't my thing except for when I decide I want to do it, so I'm happy with it the way it is. People who want a really brutal PvP experience including open dungeons ought to try Wizardry online. If you can get past the cutesy-poo anime type characters, there's open world pvp, pvp in dungeons (imagine downing a boss only to get ganked and your stuff taken before you can recover from the fight, yes, there's gear thievery in that game) and most of all permadeath. I tried it for about half an hour then quit due to the fiddle-farty weird controls prevalent in Asian MMOs. Now that's some hardcore pvp.

TESO is about right for me. I don't like being hassled while questing, etc. but I love the idea of jumping into the big battles when I feel like it.

Keep PVP in Cyrodill. It's huge, there's tons of room for it there, and there's already a mechanism to keep complete noobs from being roflstomped (ie. you have to be at least level 10 to even go there). I like the PVE zones pretty much the way they are. The only reason I sometimes wish this was open world PVP is so I could attack bots.

Now having said that, it would be cool if there was a challenge mechanism in the PVE zones. You could challenge a single character for a one-on-one fight, and if they accept then you can attack each other (but nobody else could intervene). There could be a similar thing for groups where regular size (ie. up to 4 players) groups could challenge other regular size groups, and large groups (ie. up to 24 players, or whatever the limit is) could challenge other large groups. This would be different from the experience in Cyrodill in that you wouldn't end up with zergs because nobody outside of the challenge could fight in it.
