All in all it makes sense that it's a pre-order bonus only.

Before all the bickering started (aka. before launch) people would've migrated all over the place ( read: the pre-orders). Think of explorers, traders or just restless souls who like to travel. After the proverbial excrements hit the rotating climate control ( aka. after launch) migration halts and people are stuck in the place they're born in.

It's a bonus for the people who took a chance and pre-ordered what could have been a big sour lemon. Which it isn't imho.
So suck it up, roll a khajiit and go annoy some of those snotty elves.

    Verily, tis true.

    :-)

But we don't live in "ye olde days", now do we?

I hope this thread doesn't turn into a conversation you might hear at the Renaissance Faire.

@dwaightb16_ESO : Happy you found one lying around.

I'm not mad btw, should've inserted some of those smiley thingies.
I was just saying it kind of makes sense that the any race/ any alliance combo is a pre-order only perk. As it stands, no new pre-order packs are released and those that are still for sale will be gone in a few weeks I think. Which is as it should be, a limited amount of people/characters (don't even care how much, just not everyone and their sister) has made a new life in another part of the world.

Also, I'm glad I can use stay moist in here ... it didn't go all to well with my female collegues at work for some strange reason.
    So ...

    Stay moist :)

That would be an "Imperial" but pedantry aside it's 'cos ZOS want your doubloons.

Emperial is an older spelling; pedantry aside.
Source? I've never heard of or seen this usage, and I've read books dating back to the 17th century and earlier.

There's also no results in a search engine that suggest any formal or colloquial usage of the word. Just some businesses that use the name.

Quoting a usage from the Encyclopaedia Britannica circa 1910,
In 27 Agrippa was consul for the third time, and in the following year the senate bestowed upon Octavian the emperial title of Augustus.

The following link provides sample usages including Google Previews of the books:

    Baskin Robbins always finds out.

I invested in the game pre-launch with the knowledge that I would essentially be "post launch beta testing" for people who join in 6 months or a year.

For my pre-order $80 investment, ZOS thanked me with a few perks.

This is capitalism. Whether it's a pre-order game for $80 or a revolutionary MRI machine investment of 2 million USD, early investors get perks. Life goes on.

By all means. I took the risk and preordered, and paid for the Imperial version, because I thought the game was worth the risk. In return for my extra dollars, ZOS should definitely give everyone all my perks. Including the preorder only ones, meant for people who support the developer because we love and trust Bethesda and her baby company.

For me, this risk paid off. I like this game. For you, you weren't willing to take the risk, and now you don't have access to all the features I do. If they make this available again, I will be unhappy, because my preorder perk, which I personally have never seen a game rerelease a preorder perk, will now become a "anyone who wants can now have the same thing as our loyal customers who have been with us from the start."

If you really want to play an Imperial, the upgrade is $20. That's pretty good, considering a lot of games don't give you an upgrade price...if you want the collector's edition, you buy the game again. As far as preorder bonuses go...they should stay preorder.
