Should have.
I agree we should "end of" especially where it's not supposed to be.
I think it needed to be activated prior to launch to work though.I hear the physical version of the Imperial Edition comes with a code that gets you the 'any race any faction' pre-order bonus too. No idea if true or if you can still get them physically, though.
That would be an "Imperial" but pedantry aside it's 'cos ZOS want your doubloons.
Agree with you there.Haltus_Kain wrote: »Playing the way you want has always been an Elder Scrolls standard. It's not really a surprise that people are upset that Zmax has taken away a standard feature, and reintroduced it as a bonus to be purchased.
Especially considering we had to pay a AAA box price, and a sub fee, and STILL have to jump through hoops to access standard features.
They either have no idea who their target audience is (hint: Elder Scrolls fans...) or they just don't care.
Not that Zmax is the only one to blame. I preordered so I could play my Argonian. I can whine about their marketing tactics all day long, but frankly my wallet speaks a lot louder than my words when it comes to this, and my wallet told them that what they're doing is A-OKAY. ...which kinda has me feeling like I owe the gaming industry at large an apology.
We gamers are curious animals.

seems people are saying they had be activated at Launch.. but doesnt makke alot of sense to me why they are still selling the explorers packt then on g2aSomeone wrote that you can still get adventurer pack from websites, like g2a or whatever and, anyone knows if these codes have an expiry time? I would buy some additional ones for friends and future friends should they ever want one. I could gift them

I believe it was P.T. Barnum who said, "There's a sucker born every minute."
I'm not sure if the code had to be activated at launch, but it would be rather silly to have in-game preorder bonuses that could be stockpiled and sold later for higher prices.

Okay, thanks everyone, good to know, I bought 5 keys so I can help some people in the future (if they stop selling them, that is)!
All in all it makes sense that it's a pre-order bonus only.
Before all the bickering started (aka. before launch) people would've migrated all over the place ( read: the pre-orders). Think of explorers, traders or just restless souls who like to travel. After the proverbial excrements hit the rotating climate control ( aka. after launch) migration halts and people are stuck in the place they're born in.
It's a bonus for the people who took a chance and pre-ordered what could have been a big sour lemon. Which it isn't imho.
So suck it up, roll a khajiit and go annoy some of those snotty elves.
