Why does ZOS not ask for my feedback on why I cancelled my subscription?

They do ask for your feedback its easily over looked. If you look at my early post in this thread I explain where it is. Yes it should be more obvious like other games. But it is there. I've canceled my sub.

Submitting another customer service ticket to clog up the already bogged down system, isn't my idea of submitting feedback, but I can see how you might call it that. Yes, I dismissed it as a form of "feedback about why I'm quitting" and looked at it more of a last ditch attempt of "if you're quitting because you're hindered by a bug, try our excellent CS system"

But you're right. It sounds like maybe they are suggesting that if I want to leave feedback, just submit a ticket to the CS system. I have a problem with that as well.

Who do you think looks at it if it is was a pop up box? Bug tickets go to one group in CS and feedback goes to another group. Yes they need a better way to submit feedback for leaving players. But however you classify you ticket is determines who looks at it.

I just cancelled my subscription. I'm not going to make this thread about why. Others can decide for themselves if this game is for them or not. I'm fed up with it, so I'm out of here. I'm sure plenty of people won't care, and that's fine.

However, I found it a slap in the face that ZOS didn't even ask me why I was leaving when I cancelled my subscription.

There was no link, no button, and no form asking "why are you leaving?"

To me, this shows that ZOS couldn't give a rats ass about why players are leaving.

The goodbye message was something like:

"Oh no! Sorry to see you go ... "

    Oh no!? Really? lol...ok.

This isn't a good bye thread. It's a where is the option to give feedback about why I'm leaving form.

P.S. The confirmation email that I cancelled also doesn't provide a link, or even suggest that ZOS really cares that I left.

What makes you think that they care or would change the game so that you come back?

They have an idea about the game and if you leave then you do, that wont change anything for them.

I had written a long "why I canceled" reply at SWTOR including that they can get me back if they restore my 8 chars that I lost during the server merge... guess what? They didn't give a damn ;)

That's how it is dude, if they have one unlucky customer but 1 million happy ones then you are just not important enough to change anything :)

Lets face it, TESO just isn't the game for you so move on.

Al I did was ask "why are you still here" others have made much harsher statements...yet me...you attack and post forum account info (as if to "prove" some sort of paranoid conspiracy). You call me a "friend of an Admin"...as if that would be a bad thing...

Ah, I see I was right. You are trolling. Figured as much.

No, you didn't simply "ask 'why are you still here"'. In fact, you were quite abrasive in your first post.
An interesting attitude for someone that wants the game to get better...I don't think so.

I think you dislike the game, as well as anyone that enjoys it. and therefore you must spread your hate out into the world by hanging around and trolling the forums and anyone that disagrees with you (I've seen you do it in other threads).

You mean the countless threads where I've helped other players? You mean the countless threads where I've suggested ways to fix the current issues with the game? No sadly, I don't believe you have seen me "troll" in other threads. Go ahead, take a look at my profile.

I've been nothing but supportive of this game from the beginning. Which is why I chose to keep my reasons for cancelling private, and not try to sway anyone in that direction.
You will NOT make the game better form HERE...LOL!! If you believe that...well
    you obviously don't forum much.

That is "why" I disagree with you, and your post. k.

Can't wait for your troll response...

If not here, then where? There's no option for feedback. That's why I'm here. Critical thinking man, critical thinking.

It sounds to me like you simply want to troll.

    HAHA...that's rich. :)

Yeah...see how that works out for ya. I hope you start to feel better soon. Hopefully you won't get any more people that disagree with you, and then you can...

Eh...I'm sure you have a plan...

Yes, a 30s inconvenience is totally equal in enormity as being slapped in the face. I'm sure the feelings conveyed in both instances are on totally equal footing in the grand scheme of things.

Also, good job at getting the feedback option you were so worked up about only to dismiss it because it wasn't dumbed down enough for you. The goal post moving comments afterwards are precious.

Usually feedback is placed into a separate queue for a specially appointed team to review. That team may be comprised of some CS personnel. Usually, it is overseen by a CS or Project Manager. QA is usually involved as well as they have valuable testing experience and can attest to the validity of complaints.

That feedback absolutely should not be placed in the CS ticketing system. Especially, considering that their ticketing system automatically shuts down and closes tickets after like 7 days. Not to mention, it just sends out canned replies to tickets that aren't handled in ~24 hours time.

Hopefully, you're right, and they've set it up so that it will be preserved until such time they decide to review them. I'll submit one anyways, though, I think a better system needs to be decised.

PS Love all the fanboys who attack someone who shows concern about something that would only serve to improve the game they are playing. As if admitting this game has flaws somehow threatens them. I won't miss you either.

One more thing. You can't even submit a feedback ticket from help.elderscrollsonline.com.

It's simply a knowledgebase, with an email option for technical support, recovering hacked accounts, or account/billing issues.

There is no option there for submitting feedback. That can only be done in-game (which I can do since I still have 10 days left before my subscription expires).

I had a bunch of silly "Tamriel, the land of (insert known problems here)... but meh.

In all honesty, how could reading up on the game save anyone with complaints money?

We really enjoy the game. It's the bots/hacks/ lack of customer support/ progression halting bugs, and other things giving ups problems.

Hence the complaints. Hence the cancellations.

Unless someone could tell the future, I see no way we could of read up on the game and decided if we would buy it or not.

Yes, I've looked at it. For someone who has played since Feburary (lol) you sure don't know how things work within the CS department. I've removed my pointed attacks at trolls, and people I may have mistaken as trolls. I should know better than to argue with trolls on the Internet.

I didn't take my decision to unsubscribe lightly, as I have invested quite a bit of time playing and suggesting ways in which the game could be improved and fixed in-game, on these forums, through feedback, and through beta testing.

However, that doesn't excuse my exercising poor judgment in engaging these trolls in battle. I've learned my lesson.

Furthermore, I've done my best to clean up this thread, and return it to civil discourse on what I believe is just one more miscalculation by ZOS. The intent of this thread is that ZOS hears its message, and institutes some improved method of capturing feedback from discontent customers who are abandoning their product.
