Add some unique treasures and sells treasure packs... Like the ones in Swtor (a chance to get a super treasure.. and stuff like this)... Add some more styling in the crafting, that you could EXTREMELY hard gain by playing, or buying it via ur store..

f2p, all people who paid, will leave

No. *** no! If This game goes in for the kind of *** nickle and diming that TOR did, I'm out. I did not pay 80 bucks so that I could then turn around and have to buy the ability to equip legendaries for 20 dollars. I didn't spend 80 bucks so I could turn around and have to cough up more so I could run.

you mistranslate what I ve said.. I speak about equipment looks and style... cosmetics. Not abilities or stats. I would quit also, if they added vendors with epic tokens or sell the epics. Normally when they do that and it has a price, or its extremly hard to gain... And they also offer it via their store... They put more effort to look and feel nice...

I would love to have cape's. but this game even if it shows videos and pictures with capes, I havent found ANY cloth with cape... And thats an example.. They could add some motifs (purple or yellow) EXTREMELY hard to gain ingame.. or sell them, or make motif packs, treasure packs.

Yeah, it comes with the example. If the game has to go F2P some day, then it has to go F2P... the problem is the TOR example.

I've never seen the same level of arrogance and contempt from a mainstream developer towards their customers as I did in TOR. Maybe not caring about EA Sports helps, but... ugh.

And that spilled all over the place in the F2P transition. Everything screamed to me, "you didn't understand our masterpiece? PAY US TRIBUTE PEONS!"

Its not bad to make some big effort in some "extras" for the game, that dont give any super powers or unique powers and skills and sell it via ur store.. Also impliment it in game, but hard to gain, so people if like it, have to choose, the fast path or the hard way... I dont find that as a bad thing..

BTW, does anybody found up to date, an armor with a cape? I havent.. I dont like my sorc to be dressed in leather and metal... I want him to look like a mage ... :)

Let's just play devils advocate for one minute and say he is indeed an ex employee. (Personally I very much doubt it, but lets just say it's true for a moment.) We'll even go so far as to say he did have access to subscription numbers and whatnot.

He could still be lying. Nothing stopping him, and quite probable if the separation wasn't exactly amicable.

    Hey Everyone,

I don’t usually post on the official forums, but I found something that I think needs the attention of either a ZOS employee or community awareness. During my travels across the vastness of the internet in search of everything ESO, I have stumbled on some interesting posts.

There seems to be a guy posting and claiming to be an “ex” employee, I don’t know if he is or isn’t an employee. I would assume he isn’t as most companies like ZOS would require you to sign a document stating you will not discuss company policies or procedures after your termination.

This guy is claiming that he has “proof” that ESO will go F2P after the first investment quarter and Sub numbers are “abysmal”. Now, I strongly disagree with both statements, sadly I have nothing to back up my argument other than seeing how many people were in Beta / Launch week I can only assume that the game has surpassed that of SWTOR, which had over 2 million Subs first month.

He also goes on to claim that ZOS has laid off a lot of its Senior staff, now with ESO being as big as it is currently – least in the media sense – I would think we’d hear about any massive layoffs done by the studio.

So as I said I don’t know how accurate this is, but has anyone else heard of these rumors or have anything to back up his claims to being a ZOS employee?

Game is great had a lot of potential but it will go free to play, I dont care if you believe me or not. You will see soon enough lol any way as for the comment about the ex employee sure its possible...

But its most likely just a troll lol

At least I hope they fix the cloth to feel like cloth, because they look horrible... They feel like leather. They stick in ur body and they feel heavy. Nothing to do with cotton, or silk... It feels like crocodile skin and the robes when u walk, they look like turkish fat dancing trousers.

And I dont think capes are bad, because some people feel like superman. Mages have capes and they have robes, this is getting ridicules with ESO. Maybe thats why they promoting builts for mages with heavy armor, because there is nothing special for a mage as a mage.

Your excuses are very cheap. Because they dont willing to do something that is normal to do, or they are lazy... we have to ditch it?

This kind of excuses make me feel sick... Now I am making a video about quests with german language in english version of the game. And again, some trolls call it immersive, or germanics.. who knows. Is bethesda or zenimax a german company? thats why they dont fix these issues? (I have a reason why I cant accept that, as they speak german and I am dyslexic, I have to read and read and hear this gibberish in the background) and even if I reported it, they dont fix it. So they dont respect people with disabilities. there is few quests that do that.

And an example is the quest with the elements of earth fire and water in DC alliance. The final part u have to fight a boss and these ellements speaking in german.. Thank goodness I played the beta and I knew what they said, from the beta.

some employees do this but I dont know about the zenimax one. An example is the Sega employee if you remember the Alien game. He went into a forum and gave all the reality about the game. That gearbox took the bucks and made another game, so they ditched alien colonial marines and all the promises they gave was fake, etc etc... He also gave information's about the new alien game from sega and we knew almost 1.2 years ago, that sega is preparing another alien game and they announced it very recently.

We dont know what happened to this employee, but he was legit. So some times, it really happens. Another example is a ubisoft employee, who got kicked out by force and he reported them globally... lol

About laying off senior staff... Completely believe that. Unfortunately the game doesn't look like it was coded by senior DEVs from what I hear the amount of bugs left over from beta suggest either they had a really small staff to not knowing how to fix the issue. It's a fact a fresh out of college aspiring DEV won't have the knowledge of a senior DEV so this was a bad era for trial and error on the game. Either that or simply a rushed launch sense there's not a lot out there right now to compete against the promised ESO project.

As a current SWTOR subscriber, you do realise that simply by continuing to subscribe you would have seen ZERO impact to your play experience (and actually get a few more freebies). The only reason you would pay additional is if (a) you didn't subscribe or (b) you wanted to get the cosmetic market stuff quicker. If you subscribe all the content is open and free, if you don't sub you pay for what you want (e.g. want to PvP only? costs about $5 a month to open up what you need)

That guy can lie, just as much as any one, and if he is telling the truth what do you want from zos? To assure you, 100% that he was working and he is right?

It's impossible to determine the truth, use the knowledge already available with what both parties say and make your own mind about it.

And, imho, this will go f2p, of that I am already sure, more than ever... My opinion though, make your own if you disagree.

I dont know ...about the F2P thing, SWTOR devs also said theres no way they will go f2p any time soon. 1 year later they went f2p. Why did they go f2p? because they didnt deliver. What does Zenimax do right now? Apart from voiced quests? Well ...you get the idea. I will probably, if they dont fix several skill lines before my first sub hits, cancel and wait and see how it goes. Maybe when they hit f2p I might get a premium something as a former game purchaser ....like 10 more inventory slots that is 50 then or so. I dont know. But right now ...there is no real endgame. pvp is somewhat of a farce unless you have your coordinated zerg. there are bugs, dupes, bots. skills bugged, combat bugged quests bugged whatnot bugged. I just fail to see why the normal player should not just quit and move on especially when wildstar is hitting in 2 months which at least has more responsive combat and combat is really effing important in an mmo ...especially when pvp is somewhat of a focus (although a really poor right now)

And that was the point. Keep players paying, and not to offer an actual F2P game.

The suits said, "make it F2P because that's where the money is," and the devs at Bioware proceeded to kneecap it and stick it in a gimp suit.

Which again, is not the way to do a F2P conversion. You know something's ----ed up when you can make a Cryptic F2P conversion look reasonable.

I also agree that they probably aren't an employee, either past or present, and also doubt there's any plan to make it F2P as it doesn't seem well setup for that. That being said, it is pretty clear that sales are not what they hoped for otherwise the number of sales would be plastered all over the place.

if the game did go ftp they would earn just as much money in micro deals just look at world of tanks 50 bucks for a item . even I brought a few premium tanks same as war thunder I have brought all the premium planes and tanks quite a few bucks .
so I would like a monthly subs much cheaper
