No. *** no! If This game goes in for the kind of *** nickle and diming that TOR did, I'm out. I did not pay 80 bucks so that I could then turn around and have to buy the ability to equip legendaries for 20 dollars. I didn't spend 80 bucks so I could turn around and have to cough up more so I could run.
you mistranslate what I ve said.. I speak about equipment looks and style... cosmetics. Not abilities or stats. I would quit also, if they added vendors with epic tokens or sell the epics. Normally when they do that and it has a price, or its extremly hard to gain... And they also offer it via their store... They put more effort to look and feel nice...
I would love to have cape's. but this game even if it shows videos and pictures with capes, I havent found ANY cloth with cape... And thats an example.. They could add some motifs (purple or yellow) EXTREMELY hard to gain ingame.. or sell them, or make motif packs, treasure packs.
Yeah, it comes with the example. If the game has to go F2P some day, then it has to go F2P... the problem is the TOR example.
I've never seen the same level of arrogance and contempt from a mainstream developer towards their customers as I did in TOR. Maybe not caring about EA Sports helps, but... ugh.
And that spilled all over the place in the F2P transition. Everything screamed to me, "you didn't understand our masterpiece? PAY US TRIBUTE PEONS!"
Hey Everyone,
I don’t usually post on the official forums, but I found something that I think needs the attention of either a ZOS employee or community awareness. During my travels across the vastness of the internet in search of everything ESO, I have stumbled on some interesting posts.
There seems to be a guy posting and claiming to be an “ex” employee, I don’t know if he is or isn’t an employee. I would assume he isn’t as most companies like ZOS would require you to sign a document stating you will not discuss company policies or procedures after your termination.
This guy is claiming that he has “proof” that ESO will go F2P after the first investment quarter and Sub numbers are “abysmal”. Now, I strongly disagree with both statements, sadly I have nothing to back up my argument other than seeing how many people were in Beta / Launch week I can only assume that the game has surpassed that of SWTOR, which had over 2 million Subs first month.
He also goes on to claim that ZOS has laid off a lot of its Senior staff, now with ESO being as big as it is currently – least in the media sense – I would think we’d hear about any massive layoffs done by the studio.
So as I said I don’t know how accurate this is, but has anyone else heard of these rumors or have anything to back up his claims to being a ZOS employee?
At least I hope they fix the cloth to feel like cloth, because they look horrible... They feel like leather. They stick in ur body and they feel heavy. Nothing to do with cotton, or silk... It feels like crocodile skin and the robes when u walk, they look like turkish fat dancing trousers.

Some people just cry wolf...
That's true, @Ketobbey. (Shameless plug)
I can assure you an employee with that much information would take NO chances at spilling that sort of information. It would LITERALLY ruin there entire career if they ever got caught.

As a current SWTOR subscriber, you do realise that simply by continuing to subscribe you would have seen ZERO impact to your play experience (and actually get a few more freebies). The only reason you would pay additional is if (a) you didn't subscribe or (b) you wanted to get the cosmetic market stuff quicker. If you subscribe all the content is open and free, if you don't sub you pay for what you want (e.g. want to PvP only? costs about $5 a month to open up what you need)
