Will you stay subbed after your free play time will run out?

    Yes, I will stay subbed.
For those of you who have unsubbed,

The game changes dramatically once you join a guild and community.
If I hadn't joined The Noore, I know for a fact that I wouldn't be VR3, and wouldn't be having as much fun as I do.
You need to play the game like an MMO, otherwise it just doesn't play right.

I will never join guild or invest heavily on pvp, i just can't devote that much time to a game's virtual societies network. Therefore I am not sure how long i will go.

But at least in the first 6 months, I likely will keep sub, just to go over all factions.

I will stay subbed. I'm currently level 33ish and have been around for 2(3?) weeks.I enjoy the quests, enjoy abilities and earning new ones, and am very much looking forward to hitting lv50 and pillaging/helping the other factions' quest zones. Crafting...maxing all of them sounds fun :3

Customer support has also been very kind to me - tho they needed some prodding.

Unsubbed a while ago. Last logged in 2 days ago, hoping to find fun but the game is jut boring to me, and that is so disappointing. I dunno, starting with the PS3 generation, PC games and games in general have kinda sucked. Maybe its time for a new hobby. There are good ones now and then.. Hoping Dark Souls II will fix everything.

I want to see it all--and at my current pace, that's going to take quite awhile. :)

I prepaid for 6mths. which is a long time in a game, tho mmos I generally invest years in. lets put it this way, either I will be totally up for resubbing as im addicted (good chance there as the long slow climb in skills is making me love my char)

or I will be sick of the whole mmo thing. ( good chance there too as you can only play a few of these types of games before asking yourself what the heck are you doing with your life) lol In that case it will be not the games fault but just burnout factor in general.

I haven't decided yet because right now I can't progress the main story and get into VR content. I'm not the only one with this problem.

So I can't play the game (I'm not going to reroll). If it's not fixed by the time my payment is due, I'm out of here. I may come back, but it's pretty unlikely since something new and shiny will grab my attention.

I logged in for 4 hours yesterday. The play flow was more fluent than 4 days ago, but still there are too many stumbling blocks to have a game experience worth the buy price and the sub. I would tend more to "Not sure yet" if ZOS come up with adressing exploit issues and issues that prevent leveling or crafting progression. I am sure they will at some point in time, but I doubt it will be before they start charging cash big time.

    I don't know.

On one hand, I like the game. It's fun to get out and explore Tamriel, even if it's not quite as good as a dedicated TES game would be for any given province, and I kind of like the persistent pvp when one faction isn't just facerolling all over Cyrodiil.

On the other hand, veteran leveling is a longer grind than getting friendly with the Hydraxian Waterlords and makes getting exalted with the Ashtongue Deathsworn look like a walk in the park. I really, really do not like how veteran leveling is structured.

Will stay subbed. I have tons of fun, I adore the writing, the choices I'm given. I love that every time I log on I can decide whether I want to go exploring, collecting stuff, killing things, or grouping up with people to do a dungeon.
I love the complexity of the skill system which - at my current pace - will probably take ages to try out with different characters.

I've played other MMOs, but nowhere did I have this much fun.

Maybe if I reached end game, found a decent guild etc I would have the motivation to play.

To me the game is press e, follow the triangle, click a few times on some mobs, follow the triangle, press e etc etc.

Its just the same linear, repetitive and tedious leveling that is present in most MMO games... I only enjoy group PvE content and PvP and sadly im unable to level doing these.

If I want immersion, exploration and lore I will load up Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim even read some elder scrolls novels.

I just cant bring myself to spend weeks doing something I don't enjoy so I have cancelled my sub, maybe will check back in a few months or so but doubt it.

Don't think I will touch another MMO again tbh.

But yeah that's just me, fair play if you enjoy the game.

I voted "No" but hot DAMN does the combat keep me hooked. Love morphing abilities and trying out new weapons to mix it up and try new combos.

I have been advised recently that teleporting to player helps fix the phasing so I'll try that tonight. However this is the last straw for me personally. If I still can't heal or help my friend defeat a boss or AT LEAST see him while he's doing his quest then I can't renew my sub. Playing solo isn't always fun for me in an MMO.

I have never had a grouping problem that "travel to player" didn't fix.

First MMO I have enjoyed to this degree in many, many years. I think of myself as MMO player first and TES player second ... maybe that's the key.

Looking forward to Craglorn. Trials sound sweet.

I keep trying to figure this out myself. On the one hand, character customization and combat are awesome....on the other, pretty much everything else is poorly designed (or designed to frustrate). Add in no positive feedback about their customer service (so when I do have a problem, I can probably expect a copy/paste response about something not related to my issue.), most people agreeing that tanks are not really worth it/needed atm (which reminds me of the problems I had with the GW2 lack of trinity FFA dungeon), and I really find it hard to justify a sub fee...

They have a great foundation, but atm, thats all it is imo. Everything else seems to be fraked. I might unsub at first and then wait a few months for when the game should have been released, and try again.

That and PvP being the main selling point (and the best part of the game imo) but not rewarding me enough to where I'm forced to PvE in a bland story I hate (we get it, the queen is in danger, she is ALWAYS in danger...Thank Soon-to-be Talos the guy in charge of keeping her safe found a random guy floating in the ocean to do his job!)

I'll stay subbed until I run out of content I can do (which probably means I stop just before hitting VR on each faction).

I only have one reliable friend I team with, random teamups with players in the world are very scarce, and the game does not give me tools at the moment to find a guild that actually likes casual teaming (as opposed to guilds which are about PvP or the kind of seriously rigid group runs I don't do because I figure I'll just get abused for not being ubercompetent). So it's solo or duo for me, and I figure I will eventually get to a point where the forced-solo bits become undoable for me.

But I'll enjoy it up to then, and since I'm leveling three characters simultaneously, I might manage to get several months out of it.
I have just told you more than I know.

For whatever reason I was not able to select an appropriate sub forum from the scroll down list offered when starting a new topic. Could a mod kindly move this thread to some more reasonable place than this? e.g. http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/categories/EN-new-players

btw: When I try to edit the OP it does say "Category is required." There is no option to select any category. Did I miss something?

On the fence. I'm enjoying the game so far but the little things like the clumsiness of combat and lack of gear variety is making me ponder on it a bit.

But just looking at ratings and public opinions, if I was Zenimax, I'd be going full panic mode and doing all I can to fix all the bugs and issues with the game, listening and considering every bit of feedback I get. Maybe it's the lack if forum presence, but I don't don't see them doing that at the moment.

Especially if I was Zenimax. From my experience developers who don't succeed in their first MMO usually don't get a second chance.

Sorry to be a bit harsh, but the way this looks at the moment, it's an exact repeat of Swtor. Down to the budget.

The game isnt finished yet, too many bugs and broken stuff.
I already cancelled my sub (the moment I saw ingame bugs, that I reported in beta), because there is nothing to look forward to atm.
Knowing Zenimax's quality testing team doesnt do its work I expect Craiglorn to be bugged as hell with several gamebreaking issues. Dont want to experience that anymore and pay for Betatesting the game

So I tried the "travel to player" method to stay in the same phase and it did not work for many of the quests. Literally only worked for ONE out of the 4 quests I did with my friend and in that ONE quest I couldn't help him in the last quest boss or even REVIVE HIM when he died! Zenimax, what the hell were you thinking? This is so anti-grouping it makes me laugh out of frustration. Defeats the purpose of an MMO.

This game needs more players tough. Hopefully they get all the major bugs and bots in check. Otherwise if the player pop goes down this might die off too fast.

Yes i will stay subbed, so far game is fun for me, i like questing and pvp. Even i feel too weak in pvp i still like it considering i am only level 29, things will be better when i am higher level. All the moanings about, bots, gold-sellers, bugged quests, vs. just need time to be sorted. People are too impatient lately, they want whole package at once, MMORPGs need time to evolve and get better, i have my time and will support developers until the game isn't fun for me, so far it is fun...

Sorry, "free play time" ... I paid $60.00 for my "free play time". And no I currently do not plan on subbing. I will hit veteran ranks this weekend and will get to see just how painfully slow the leveling is. If it's too much to bare then I will not be subscribing.
