THANK YOU ZOS!

I'm sure I'll get called a few choice names for posting this, but I feel like it isn't said enough. So, thank you zos for all the hard work that you've put in so far on ESO and will (no doubt) continue to do in the future. It does mean a lot to your players but I think people forget a little gratitude is a good thing.

I see tons of complaints, often multiple posts of the same issue sometimes by the same person, but I rarely see anyone say 'Hey, thanks for what you've done.'

Let the flames begin.

I "thanked" them with my purchase and subscription fee. The myriad of bugs and big issues thus far make me think that the game should not have been released yet.

    I'll thank them when....

The game stabilizes enough that I don't have to log off every 20 minutes because of a bug, (like the healing staff bug)
when I get my bank back to where it was before it bugged,
when they call me if they say they will,
when live help chat comes back to the game,
when they prove they can patch something without breaking 10 other things,
when they add a ton of simple friendly tools to make this game a semblance of a user optional game,
when I don't have to use 4 of my characters as banks because they have fixed the banking system.

I'm reserving my accolades until later :) Although I applaud them for taking a chance on another MMO when many others have closed down or gone strictly F2P, I'm still not sure what's going to happen down the road with new content, keeping the game interesting and fun, etc. Also there are quite a few issues remaining (gold spamming, bot farming, quest bugs, server lag, etc.) that need to be dealt with. Also, I would like see more of a presence from ZOS in the game itself to deal with some of the immediate support issues. So when I see these items being taken care of aggressively, then I'll be happy to start to a "Great Job ZOS" post :)

I will say I am enjoying the game play so far. Some of the quests get to be a bit tedious, but no more so than Skyrim or Oblivion. And I wish there was a bit more puzzle solving involved with some of the quests rather than just "Kill The Monster" to proceed.

I love the game so far, and will thus thank them for it. It is FAR better than I feared it would be. I still STRONGLY disagree with several of their design choices, but that is beside the point now. Once the issues are resolved and bugs fixed I see this game going places. Thanks Zenimax for giving me more Elder Scrolls to enjoy.

Today's patch was some icing on the cake.

They are doing everything they can to stabilize the game. It is hard work.

Patients is the key. Not many people have that. So many people are quick to anger when they can't do what they want.

So I'm glad to see a post that's positive for once. It is refreshing.

I've honestly not run into too many bugs. I ran into a couple of bugged quests that I just came back to later after they were fixed-no big deal.

My only real issues have been:
    • Quality of customer service.
    • Lack of prompt communication with the community.
    • Rampant botting in public dungeons and gold selling spam.

I think the gold selling spam is coming under control, but that might also be a result of me starting to get into the upper level areas. The gold spammers are going to stick to the areas that have the most people.

That said, once you get added to a gold spammers list, even if that account gets banned, you will be on the next one's list too. They share a single, out-of-game database.

Totally agree, I've been having an amazing time playing the game so far and it is such a good game.

I've come across 1 bug since playing, a bugged side quest where the NPC didn't spawn, but that quest was also fixed in the next patch they did.

I'm so sick of all the people crying on the forums about bugs like they've never played a game before. Yeah ESO is not perfect, it wasn't a perfect launch, but the amount of people crying would make anyone believe the game is unplayable.

The one that really makes me laugh is "fix the inventory so I don't run out of space". In the video Zeni did about crafting the player had 200 spaces, that is the highest inventory I've ever seen in an MMO. Heck, if you think it's bad here go play GW2 where you have to spend really cash to unlock extra bag spaces.

Every game I've ever played has had bugs, some game breaking, others small things. Zeni have priorities they have to work with, smaller bugs stay in the game for ages while they work on the bigger ones. They did a patch today that fixed over 30 issues in regards to quests. One of the longest parts of fixing the issues, is finding out what's causing them.

Keep up the good work Zeni, great game so far!

GW2 had a better banking system and it was B2P. They even had an area just for crafting materials.

You did not have to spend real money to expand it, you could even make bags and expansion chests in GW2.

Good game overall, worthy of myself and wifey's time and money. We are upset at how many people are constantly trying to suggest changes for this game even though it hasnt been out long. We hope that the challenges do not continue to get nerfed and we also hope that changes made are done intelligently without major influence by the majority posts. I believe sometimes people are incorrect about what they want, even when its 50% or more complaining.

Well, it does make sense that an ancestor of the Dragonborn in Skyrim would be alive in this time period. But remember, there are no dragons right now, except possibly for the one disguised as a Greybeard up on the mountain. All Dragonborn are descendents of Alessia, as she was the one that was given dragon blood by Akatosh.

I concur and I really wish Zenimax would learn the good features in GW2(the storage system, trade system,etc...) and other mmo and implement them to TESO.

However, I must say that Zenimax is walking in the right path for fixing bugs(especially the gamebreaking bugs) as soon and as effective as they can...

Well.. While I do share some negative feedback of others (Bank slots, Bugs, Spammers)...

I too have some "THANK YOU" items:
    • Thanks for a beautiful game (All Skyrim like)
    • Thanks for restoring my BANK slots (+extra) took 10 days, but ok
    • Thanks for MASSIVE Bug fixes each patch (Wish they got fixed in beta)

Now if you can just bring out a GM in game and instant KILL/BAN gold spammers/botters in front of people it would be AWESOME! ;)

They do mention Dragonborn in the main quest line more the a few times. The prophet wanted to ascend to dragonborn to rule. I believe Dragonborn and the shouts are around, just not the dragons. The dragonknight is a dragonborn as well. Id just like to see the shouts.

The order of being Dragonborn was explained to me like this

Dovahkiin/Dragonborn: The pure-blooded dragon in a mortal body. Grand heroes and masterful users of the Voice, these are bound for glory.

Dragonborn Emperor: Thair dragon blood mixed with that of humans, these are more powerful than lesser men, albeit not nearly as powerful as a true dovahkiin. Whether the purity keeps dwindling, or if the Amulet of Kings helps keep the blood true, is unknown, but that is what I assume.

Dragonborn Offshots: Offshots of a dragonborn bloodline, these are powerful in their own right, even without the Amulet of Kings to (If my theory is true) keep their blood from being muddled too much.

And finally, dragonknight, aaaaall the way down in the bottom. I assume dragonknights have at least 75% human blood and 25% dragon. Not impressive compared to the upper tiers, yet still a worthy adversary.

Eso has 3 of the 4 so far.

and look at the first post, its not even a complaint. so what is the reason it has to be posted here exactly ?

The quest bugs are being fixed all the time. I only encountered a few quest bugs and simply moved on. The game is beautiful and although we still have lots of QQ for ulterior reasons, the game will be excellent when most of the community hit level 50 after steady leveling.

The grinders have had their day and wrecked the public dungeons, they did not grind outside and are not skilled enough to play the endgame well. They made loads of cash staying ahead of the field but it will not last forever.

Co-operative endgame guilds are forming in advance. Making solid friends with plans to group and overcome the VR quests and instances and ultimately the Cragfall challenges, and more.

Veteran MMO players like myself see this game for what it is, a shift of the paradigm of the MMO genre.

Let me be clear, I manage my inventory well and now do not even need more than one bank upgrade and two bag upgrades. I have refined my play and am co-operative so no hording, just giving away to comrades who can make use of it and become excellent in other crafts than mine.

There are keys to unlocking how to play this game efficiently and with skill and intelligence. Those keys are in your mind, not in the hands of the developers who already know what is possible.

So thanks for making this game and thanks for sticking to your guns. More of us appreciate it than the total number of whiners amount to on these boards. Same as it ever was in any MMO.

A lot of what the GW2 banking system came to be was not there at launch. It was actually pretty crappy at first. Over several patches in the first couple months it became pretty good. For example, crafting from bank was not in at launch. They patched that in later. ESO had it at launch. Both systems have / had their flaws, but thats what updates are for.

Not quite. All Dragonborn are descendents of Alessia, the first emperor who was given dragon blood by Akatosh. I don't think "purity" comes into the equation at all - they just have to be a descendent. You don't have to be Dragonborn to be Emperor, you just have to be Dragonborn to be the "true" Emperor who can light the dragon fires with the Amulet of Kings. If a non-Dragonborn tries to do this, bad things happen.

But, all descendents of Alessia are Dragonborn. All Dragonborn are descendents of Alessia.
