Yeah, well, that's life in a new large-scale MMO for you. No surprise here.

Main issue with ESO downtime is that you can not play during morning, typicaly start a new research and perhaps do an quest before work.
Slow time is also nice for re trying stuck quests as they mostly stuck because too many people try them.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

i have to agree the biggest problem with ESO is all the down time. it's hurting the game. they should do maintenance once a week with a patch once a week. Lets hope they start this after the game clams down it is still only 3 weeks old.

The frequent downtimes are to be expected especially for big game such as TESO. However, I believe these downtime will get reduced once the game enters stable state, which we can only hope to be as soon as possible...

So hang in there guys, I know it sucks, but it will get better :)

TESO Fun-fact 1: It takes to kill 119,050 mudcrabs to reach level 50
TESO Fun-fact 2: There are 61 million items in the game
TESO Fun-fact 3: There are 40,656,000 different weapon variations in the game

How do i get onto the EU server?

I've been super patient as well.. but this is getting ridiculous. I spent time on the forums trying to justify to players that zenimax have to do what they have to do to get these things fixed.. But it's almost a week since I've played because I've had three nights to play this game and every. Single. Time. I've sat down ready to get going it's down for maintenance.

I can't begin to describe the frustration.. Ughh It's getting to the point of deciding if the 4-5 nights a month it looks like I'll be able to play this game is actually worth it.

I don't think this would warrant me wanting a refund, I guess my circumstances are just incredibly unfortunate and no-one's to blame. It will probably end up with a subscription cancellation though. Not because of anything game related, just that it's not worth worth it tbh..

sadly i think a lot of people are in the same boat as you my friend. And i think in a few months people will come back to the game once its more stable and has more end game content.

^^^ :"I spent time on the forums trying to justify to players that zenimax have to do what they have to do to get these things fixed.. "

Why? The game doesn't need apologists. Its a great game already. If one is so stupid to think every game doesn't go through growing pains and hot fixes after hot fixes at first, then they haven't been around the block. So let them go somewhere else.

You know, it IS very hard to educate the stupid. Also, every game will take their proper place eventually, its a mathematical certainty.

i do have a feeling at one point this game will go F2P if it is not fixed within a few months and new content isn't introduced.

I have a feeling that an angel loses its wings every time someone makes an uninformed statement about free-to-play.

At this point, almost all the major bugs (none of which were gamebreaking) have been fixed. They are already gearing up for the first big new content release. So by your own ridiculous predictions, the game will not be going free-to-play anytime soon.

So now your saying opinions are wrong or right? just because you do not agree with my opinion does not mean you have to call me Uninformed.

The great thing about opinions are Every one has one wither right or wrong. but i have a feeling your from Canada where Freedom of speech may not be in your constitution (then again i could be wrong i've never read Canada constitution nor do i care about Canada)

Sidenote: F2P games normally make more money then Sub based games. there are always acceptation's to the rules.

    A) New content is being introduced
    B) Game wont be F2P
    C) As frustrating as it is, and believe me I have the morning off as well so I was looking forward to playing ESO as the only chance I had to play was yesterday but the maintenance prevented that, this kind of stuff is needed.

With that being said, I am a firm believer in having one scheduled maintenance a week, two days is a bit extreme especially for a new launch. Many of us seasoned MMO players understand the need for hot fixes and patches, but 790% of the MMO population doesn't and this kind of Irregular "Regular" maintenance will throw their dime off hence causing one of two things to happen.

    1) Sub fee's go up
    2) F2P to bring the player base back with some sort of cash shop or "Premium time" feature

I have to admit that it is getting frustrating waking up, ready to play TESO on a day off or a day that there's not supposed to be any downtime, and I get the "The NA megaserver is offline due to maintenance" especially when there was scheduled downtime the day before. I love this game, and wont quit because of this, but it is getting frustrating especially when two kids and a job really does limit the amount of time I can play.

TLDR: Yes downtime is getting frustrating, but once they get all their stuff sorted out it the game will be much better for it. They have to do what they have to do and there is no evil Zenimax conspiracy that is generating downtime just to *** YOU off, but please do hurry up with your fixes Zeni because we would all like to enjoy your game and not the dashboard.

Yes, opinions can be wrong when they are based on inaccurate information.

Saying "This game will go free-to-play without new content," when you've got trailers and developer discussions about Craglorn plastered all over the internet is just silly. You already know there's new content, so why on earth would you say that the game is on the road to free-to-play? Ditto for bug fixes.
