A "Thank you" to the Devs.

When we complain about bugs or exploits or various other things it's not because we hate the game and want to devs to burn in the fiery pits of hell.

If we hated it we'd just log off and not bother logging back on again (although I am aware some people still do log in when they hate something and feel the need to tell us they quit when nobody really gives a monkey's nut).

We complain because we want those issues resolving so we can all move along like those nasty bugs and exploits never happened.

I don't need to thank the devs, the money they get off me is thanks enough. That monthly sub fee is a continued thankyou.

Game is fine, i am hooked; but i am also a paying customer and almost nothing is working properly.

I will thank them when they will deserve it.

Devs are doing great, I'm happy with the game and mostly satisfied with their response to issues. But they really need to strengthen their forum team.

Accidentally reported my own post (why does the forum even allow that?) and got reprimanded over it with a generic reply. I doubt the moderator even looked at it or knew what they were reprimanding. Furthermore, they ignored the blatant insults of another person all throughout the thread.

That's probably the most shining example of offensive incompetence I've ever seen on a forum, and I've seen some pretty awful moderators.

So you are saying I can get spankings on demand by reporting my post?! Woah, *catches breath*....

Lol just teasing  - Maybe post a suggestion to remove that option if there is a forum for such things. That shouldn't be possible.

Same here! Lots of people are upset and saying they canceled subs until later on. Not me! I'm enjoying the content available now, and that's what matters to me. I know all about the bugs and the way some people abuse the game, but that's easy to live with when I have my own in game goals and accept that any real life issues will outweigh in game ones (bar stolen account, of course). Yes, launch could have been pushed back, but what's done is done, and I'm going to play with friends and yell and scream and 1v6 higher level monsters until my heart gives out.

PS. Please don't nerf ESO. That is my only request. I want to die and die and die again until I'm a better player and love this game even more.

The game world is awesome. The gameplay is very good. The long terms goals are also very good.

    But seriously:
    - Way too many cheater/ botter / goldseller
    - This last guild bank dupe exploit probably ruining the economy.

Of course you can still play without any valid economy, a chat filled with goldseller and just don't care about thousands invisible botter gathering hal the nodes and preventing players to kill dungeon bosses...

I could almost accept that myself.

    But what's next?

    Things are getting weird.

    Fast.

Yeah thanks for ruining every other game for me. This is the first mmo I've ever really enjoyed the quests. The graphics on ultra look great, I still stop to take screen shots. There is definite room for improvement but I'm enjoying the hell out if this game.

Also you really do need to do something with the forums.

Thank you for the awesome game you made, the nice support you provided so far and for actually listening to and keeping in touch with the community.

But please do not overdo listening to the community, you don't have to, you shouldn't change the core of the game to make it appeal to everyone since then it won't appeal to us, who like it now. Don't make it too easy and convenient and just keep up the good work!

It's really nice to have these 'feel good' threads around too to balance of all the bitching which frankly is getting to my nerves. I do however disagree with the person that said that most people that complain do love the game too. I tend to have a more darker idea of people, especially when reading all the crap in the ESO maintenance post comments in Facebook (why do I read them sometimes is beyond me). People say that they are unsubbed cos the game sucks yaddayaddayadda but still keep posting. The commenting everywhere is just made so easy that people spout their opinions all over even though they might have indeed already unsubbed and dislike the game. That's annoying to me because I don't understand why they even bother. And that affects the community overall that truly loves the game and play it despite all of it's faults. I'm one of those people. And I really don't want this community to become known like LoL community to be the worst there is eventually. So thanks for posting :)

Just a nice article here about ESO and the hate. Don't read the comments though :D

I agree with OP, this is one of the best games ever released with alot more potential. The Customer service is outstanding, the graphics are great, the problems are minimal and the fun is endless. People are getting so upset about tiny bugs which are being dealt with quickly and reasonably and its not the fault of the dev's if people are abusing the game in regard to overpowered builds in pvp or botting.
Bravo ZENIMAX and BETHESDA. I think you've done a great job

This game definitely has a lot of potential.

It's fun in an old-school way, returning to the roots of what made RPGs so good to begin with. Its emphasis on exploration/questing and customizable gameplay was sorely needed in today's market where repetitive instance grinding and forced character patterns was the norm.

It does have some serious problems that need to be addressed. But I agree with the OP as well. It's a good game.

When a developer sat down and created the outline for this game....a idea was born. A plan was developed, a meeting was attended and everyone went to their cube. Each with a purpose a plan and a goal. Thank you for the sleepless nights, the 20 thousand caffeinated drinks and the time you took away from your families to create a game that is FUN.

Just wanted to say, these folks are people too. Sure there are bugs, sure there are mistakes. Being human we are all flawed, nothing is perfect.

I agree with the OP. I just made up my mind to not bother posting on the forums anymore since they seemed completely overrun with haters to the point where liking the game is treated as offensive. I don't mean people who complain about some specific issue; I mean the people who throw screaming tantrums, spout hyperbole like "unplayable", and who seem to think "immersion" is some meaningless buzzword invented by jerks to take away their precious nameplates.
I assume people who don't appreciate the way this game is designed overall will leave sooner or later, though I would have expected them to be gone already. Anyway, reading these forums lately makes me bitter.

Agree! I have a lot of fun playing the game even if it is a bit frustrating sometimes (quests blocked, bots, 90% improve chance failing 3 times out of 4 ;))
I love the game and it is especially gratifying to see how the devs and mods and GMs respond to the issues.

Posting my thanks to the devs and also to the one who made this post. It is not easy doing what they have done, and considering this is their first mmo its not bad. They are acting quickly against bugs and gold sellers but sadly most think its just a snap of their fingers and its fixed. That is not the case. As for the forums..i too reported my own post and got a reprimand lol. It seems they need a better staff for it..kinda is reminding me of mmoprg.com they allow trolls and flame but not positive posts :P

its important to note that people will generally only post (especially on forums like this that are... bad) when they are disgruntled.

    Take a test sample.

I have 11 friends that play this game and hang out on mumble all the time. I am the only one of those 11 that visit the forums so over 90% of my friends don't even come here and all of us are having a great time.

I agree with what your saying 100%, however.

agreed, despite the multitude of bugs/glitches/bots, I still too love this game as much as when it launched, still taking my time exploring on my Nightblade at VR3, massive potential still left in the game and yeah you see far far more complaints than praises, don't get me wrong I still post and complain about things that don't work for me (such as the entire NB class and Bows - Still running as a Bow Assassin NB tho ;p) but its nice to see the odd Thankyou Devs and keep up the good work.

Have to admit I am loving it to. Gratz to the whole team.

But then again, it is perfect for my preference for gaming.

I mostly solo, like grouping on the fly in times of need when asked or just because. I like more involved non-fetch quests.

I love that we can craft everything on one guy instead of an army of alts.

Personally liking the VR "grind" as it's referred to… but this is the first time for me and I can understand how 2nd or 3rd time or if you were on PTS how it would be potentially tedious.

Bugs to squash and the game design tweaks to rethink and edit aside… it is awesome. Most fun I've had in years.

Wow! So great to see a thread that's so positive. I've been mystified by the negativity because I have been having so much fun with this game . . . very few problems at all. I have to rate this game as my favorite game of all time, and I've been playing since the time of Dungeon Master on the Commodore Amiga (Now that was a computer!)
I want to mention also that I come more from the Elder Scrolls single-player gaming than MMO traditions, and I was initially hesitant to try to join up with others. I've gotten over that big-time because everyone in the game world is so friendly and courteous. The worst thing that ever happens is I get ignored! I'm a member of a great guild, Antique Ordinatus Populus (http://antique-ordinatus-populus.enjin.com/) and we generally have a blast playing!
    THANK YOU, DEVS!
