I did not post this there because some people are enjoying the thread and I did not want to derail it, but does anyone but me feel that this thread:

is simply the forum managers trying to toss us bread and circuses to distract us from the serious issues plaguing this game? They have time to come up with "tell us all about your wonderful guild, we're so interested" threads, but not to actually respond to many of the complaints and issues people are having with the game itself. I feel that while the devs on here are not communicating on important matters, it is rather irritating for them to be coming up with fluff.

lol you mean that response to the people saying they want to get to know people and find good guild fits... everyone thinks the only solutions are rewrites... I already see active guilds getting new members looking for community... which has been a complaint since launch.

Would be one thing if it had been started by a game player, but it was started as (IMO) a distraction by a ZOS developer. That's my issue with it.

The forum managers are forum managers. They can say they'll make you the Vice President of Creative Title Creation at Zenimax Online. Doesn't mean they have the ability or authority to do so.

When the forum managers get information about issues/solutions/problems, they post. They are not the devs. Having them post over and over "Sorry to hear about that. We are looking at the issue and working on a fix." doesn't really accomplish much beyond pissing people off because there isn't a fix for whatever it is yet, and they think the mods/managers are just posting to keep things calm. They might as well ask about guilds or player's plans or what the new emperor is wearing to the coronation if there isn't any new definite information they can share.

Even NO information is new information. There's no such thing as "there isn't any new definite information they can share." Even such an answer as "we don't know yet; we will get back to you" is better than many of the vague evasions we get now.

If you want someone to fix your car, you talk to the mechanic not the sales rep.

There's a time for everything - remember that not everyone is having problems in the game, and just because some of us are doesn't mean we should suck up all the air and leave a CSR vacuum for the others.

If they didn't engage the happy community, there'd be posts about that. And then *everyone* would be unhappy!
