It was a stroke of genius to use a "hit once, you get credit" approach. It makes the need to team up to avoid overfarming mobs for quests unessary (not that there are any long kill quests to begin with; SWTOR had some bonus quests that resulted in 25 people trying to get 35 kills each. With a "first hit, only credit" appraoch if not grouped; you can guess the results...).Hmmm i didnt think about it but you have a good point: im soloing the whole game thanks to campers (bots or players, who knows?).

It also means you are more enticed to help other player (you might get loot chance and nobody can assault you for "atempted kill stealing" when saving thier life.
Without that one rule bots might be an actuall problem worthy of half the "bot invasion" threads that float around.
But the rule is there so they are not nearly the problem some people try to argue them up too.
Like Trolls, Bot's have been arond since the time of MUD's. And they will continue to be there, no mater how much the developers do.
Sure they can be annoying. Zenimax is working on getting them out. If there even are numbers and things like peole claim (I have seen next to no bots on the EU servers, or at least nothing that might not just be human farmers) they will be reduced.
Asking that they vanish is just plain ludicrous. So if we can't get totally rid of them, we might as well use the fact that someone else is helping in fights.
I once went and tested the "need min damage to get credit" claim. I attacked a boss unarmed, light attack, once - then let the farmers finish him/her off.otomodachi wrote: »Hey, this is actually a better response than your first one.
The problem is, it's NOT one hit/credit, it's "proportion of HP in damage"/credit. I say this as there were a plenty of times I tagged a boss once and only once and got no credit. *shrug*
Except that is not what I said. I said "you can easily work around them, give Zenimax the time to deal with them".I think argument that bots are "ok" becasue they are not a problem, becasue they just kill things you would kill things is, well, how to put it...
Are you saying that reporting bots won't matter?Bombarding the Forum with every little development in bot technology or bashing the Developers is not going to change one bit.
Yes let's ignore the fact the game is broken. You get questloot and kill credited (for archievemetns and quest progress) as long as you damage them once.
So basically the bots are helping you get the kills, by doing the actuall fighting for you.
Like they already help you getting the archviements for the dungeons.
I find that very usefull and can live with them making my life easier a little longer, Zenimax can fix it in thier own time.
