Instead of yet another endless thread on the topic, this is "no comments needed" one asking for a simple vote to get a clear idea of where people stand:

you remind me of that kid in grade-school. you know the one, the one that reminded the teacher that he/she forgot to give the class homework.

Hey, it's not my fault you forgot to do yours. ;)

not that i didn't do it...teacher forgot to flat out give it to the class, and your brown-nosing self goes and reminds them.

Gotta find some way to occupy my time while redownloading.

Error 209 wiped out my client.

    Also, I cast a pseudo-vote before commenting.

Im really happy there is none, all I need is more space in my bank for all my materials :'(
Why wouldnt i want an auction house? And if its the simple fact that there is no anonymous way for goldsellers to black market ingame im also not missing it at all.

I kind of like it how it is, but it needs a major overhaul. It needs a search feature, better sorting, and they need to allow us to request items to buy. Like, let us put in orders for items and our guild members can sell to us directly by going to "Members In Need" tab or something.. And it will show a list of players looking for items and you can sell to them at the price they set, or offer them at a higher/lower price and the buyer can then verify or deny the request.

So far, as expected, "no auction house" has more meowmeowbeanz.

I was thinking the same thing lol. I intentionally did not vote as it seemed a cheap way to stack badges

    you.......

you remind me of that kid in grade-school. you know the one, the one that reminded the teacher that he/she forgot to give the class homework.

Don't know about you but I'd certainly appreciate someone pointing out if I was doing something that might be against the rules =P

It's just a polite community thing to do.

A typical auction house breaks immersion..
At the same time, being limited to standing in town spamming chat to sell to anyone Outside your own guild - who by all rights you should be Trading with or Giving to, not selling to - isn't adequate either.

The game I was working on most recently used a system that was something in between... (the game was scrapped, and the system was my design so .. no problems sharing it)

A post board in each town.
Among other things it can be used for - allows the posting of offers to Sell or Buy.

    Interface -
    Selling
A container space for placing item(s) to sell, a box to enter an Asking Price, and a place for a short description or note.

Others come along, search for what they want to buy - and find your post.
They can make an Offer - which takes the funds from them, and places them in a sort of escrow.. and adds 1 to the "Offers" note next to the post.

Users cannot see how much has been offered for any given post, but can see How Many offers have been made, and it is up to them how much they will offer to try to beat the others.

The Seller is not restricted to accepting the highest offer.. but may choose from all Offers and Accept any one of them, completing the sale.
The escrow funds are awarded to the seller at this point, and the item(s) mailed to the buyer.
Everyone else has their funds mailed back.

    Buying
The buyer fills out a Description of what they are looking for, and makes an offer. - the funds are Not removed from the buyer.

Other users can find the post, and make Offers to the buyer - placing the item(s) in a UI element(container) the same as they would to make a SELL post, and asking a price.
The Buyer is notified and may opt to Accept (at which point the transaction occurs just as it would with a Sell) or Refuse - which returns the item(s) to the seller.

After each Accept, the buyer may opt to re-post the same offer, or close it.

    --
In essence, it is still an Auction House, but it requires active participation from both sides to decide a transaction, and complete it.
