    I'm going through almost all of the above issues and it's some small comfort to know I'm not alone in facing up to this idiocy.

    Does anyone else find it insulting that the standard response from Support to a ticket is that they'll assume the issue is fixed if they don't hear from you in a week? They then mark it as solved.

    They invite follow-up emails but just ignore them.

    Continually receiving error 301

    I've turned off my firewall, uninstalled and re-installed the game, I've tried opening and closing several times in succession, I've tried installing the eu server, I've tried restarting my computer, I've tried repairing, I've tried using the game consultant which doesn't even finish running the test for me (it just freezes part way through), and restarting modem,

    I've tried;

    -Double-click the Macintosh HD icon on the desktop
    -If the Macintosh HD is not visible, do the following;
    -Click on Finder on the toolbar along the top of the screen
    -Select Preference from the dropdown menu
    -Place a check in the Hardrive box under Show These Items on Desktop
    -Double-click on the Applications folder
    -Double-click on the Zenimax Online folder
    -Right-click on the Launcher (it will have the ESO ouroboros icon) and select "Show package contents..."
    -Open the Content folder
    -Open the MacOS folder
    -Find and delete the ProgramData folder
    From there, restart the launcher. It should say "Creating Download" now which is completely normal. The Launcher will say that for anywhere between 21-30% after which it will switch to "Downloading game files".

    I've also tried;

    1. Open your Launcher
    2. Look at the top right hand corner for your Launcher for your Settings Option(looks like a gear icon)
    3. Change Megaserver from NA to EU (or vice versa depending on which server you are usually on) and close out of the Launcher
    4. Open the Launcher back up and go back to Settings and change the Megaserver back to the original server you had it on.
    5. Again, close the Launcher.
    6. Now once you open your Launcher back up, your issues should be resolved and/or the game launcher should allow you to again update your game.

    And uninstalling, then reinstalling for a 3rd time

    Nothing has worked for me so far. Bought it about a week and a half ago, still haven't even been able to log in.

    Hopefully one of these things work for you guys though.

    Port forwarding worked for me. Also, if you have comast, it may be an issue with the modem. If you look on the front and it says technicolor I have found that it is having compatibility issues with things. I got one that says "arris" on the front and all of a sudden it works fine, but I'm not entirely sure if its because I turned port forwarding on around the same time because I was connecting to an airave device to boost my cell signal.

    Also, if you don't know how to turn on port forwarding, or to log in to your modem settings, call your provider. It's easy, but they can show you if you don't know how. I'm not that computer savvy but now that my internet provider showed me where to go, it's super easy.

    If you are sitting behind a proxy Server, you need to set a system proxy as well to be able to connect. Vice versa, if you are not behind a proxy, make sure that no systemproxy is set.

    To do so, run cmd.exe with administrative privileges ("run as admin").

    To check your systemproxy Settings, type:
    netsh winhttp show proxy

    To set a proxy, type:
    netsh winhttp set proxy yourproxyserver:port

    If you don't know your proxy server settings, check them in your browser. IE: Internet Options - Connections - LAN Settings - Proxy server --> here you will see the server and the port used. If you use any other browser, check accordingly.

    To clear the proxy, type:
    netsh winhttp reset proxy

    See attached screenshot for examples.

    Hth, regards
    Rolki

    Edit: more detailed instructions on how to find proxy server settings.
