Lost 20 Bank Slots

Just lost 20 bank slots (from 80 to 60)
All the items in those slots
Aprox. 2K in gold is gone also

This is a known issue.

I'd suggest avoiding your bank and creating a customer support ticket.

Although, with the next patch, this issue is supposed to be fixed and all items restored.

The best anyone could ask for? The best I could ask for is that it doesn't happen to me or anyone else...at all.

I see "we're looking into it" everywhere, not once have I seen an official comment that says "Fixed next patch." When is this so-called next patch?

I'd love to be proven wrong, because it'd be really nice to have a fully functioning bank again...

I also hate to be that guy, but without a dev tracker feature on the forums, I cannot locate the source. I'm sorry.

If you contact CS via phone, they will likely tell you the same thing. 'It's fixed in the next patch, items will be restored, if you continue having the issue please contact us again' etc etc.

ZOS made a great game that I've been enjoying since last summer. But they may be driving away customers with crap like this.
