Long load times, lost guilds
Had an excessive load time. Restarted game and got in, however all 5 of my guilds were gone as well as my friends list.
I had to log out so no idea if anything else was affected.

Sutna✭I had the same issue, but I stayed on my characters and after about 10 minutes my guilds returned. The other weird thing was all my add ons had been reset to default states.Co-founder of First Age, a pvp/pve guild with many players coming from LOTRO.1

✭✭✭✭✭I am recalling something from a few weeks ago where someone at Zenimax explained that when the overflow servers were used that guild and friends lists would not be available because you were not on a common server anymore.

Could be it. It would be nice if they did a general message when you get bumped to overflow server "you are on overflow, etc etc" so that people don't panic. Unfortunately I can't log in again for a few hours to see. Maybe they'll fix things by then ...0

My guilds are gone. It definitely didn't tell me or ask about being put on overflow.

This. I can deal with pretty much anything when it comes to issues, but the attitude from ZoS , lack of communication (or last night's 5 minute server shutdown 'warning' which they might as well not have bothered with) is what's really starting to aggravate me. We have all paid good money for this game and, ZoS would hope, will continue to do so into the months ahead. But bad faith and lack of communication are by far the hardest things for a developer to put behind them, because it undermines trust - trust in the product and trust in the people (just ask Bioware).
ZoS - talk to us when you START looking into an issue, not after several hours of screaming on the forums. These are the first few weeks of launch and will absolutely define your next couple of years success.2
