Please acknowledge server problems 4/13 evening hours

1 to 2 minute chat delay. 5-10 minute loading screens. Guild store searches not responding. Party invites, party finder, and teleport to player functions on several minute delay.

About the only thing that isn't lagging is vendors and combat.
End the tedious inventory management game.

No, don't acknowledge them! I don't think this forum could handle another "server down during primetime on a weekend" ragepocalypse!

Megaservers suck. I knew this was going to be an issue. The technology is not available to house 80,000 players concurrently.. atleast that's my estimate of how many people are online during peak hours

"Our testing has now confirmed that millions of players from Europe (and beyond) can play on our North American server and experience ESO as it was designed—without latency or lag problems."

"We will make sure that no matter where you live, every player in North America, Europe, Oceania and many places beyond, will have a polished, lag-free launch experience. "

The technology beyond exists the question is whether they personally have the infrastructure to support it. If you think the megaserver is harder to maintain then the systems that handle the NYSE im just going to have to laugh.

godam load screen still take ages for me and this lag aint nice either.

This is a big issue, all you are delivering to us the costumers is a loading screen, your gonna start losing costumers real fast if this lag issue doesn't get fixed real fast!

    1) There are far more than 80,000 players online during peak. I wouldn't be surprised if they hit over a million on the weekends.

    2) Megaservers are not one single physical server. People need to get this notion out of their heads. In layman's terms, think of a megaserver as a ton of servers combined into one "cluster" and that cluster is considered the megaserver. It allows for everyone to be stored on one database, while at the same time allowing through phasing and instancing everyone to play with other players without any restirctions other than a limit on how many players can be in each instance of each zone. (There was probably 100 "instances" of Stonefalls, as an example, during launch)

What we are seeing right now is most likely the result of many more players online than Zenimax probably anticipated. This is very typical with new MMO's. Once they add more hardware to the cluster, it will be fine.

@pecheckler‌ As you can see, they cared more about launching on 4/4 than releasing a polished game. All of this *** was in beta, almost all of the issues we have now they knew about 8 months ago. In fact there are tons of posts supporting this.

Interestingly enough you would think if they truly are following their greed, they would release something smooth and stable that does not cause people to mass exodus the hell away from this after their first 2-3 months. As if they don't have a wonderful model of what not to do from other MMOs in the past 12 years.

  • hippy777b14a_ESO
They were pushing 200,000 people online during early start during prime time (weekdays).

I have NO IDEA what numbers they have been getting on weekends after official launch.

In 2-3 months you'll laugh about being so upset that a new MMO actually had issues.

Running into HUGE loading issues today, just as bad as yesterday :( Cyrodiil generally loads 1/5 tries, and takes an unusually long time.

Its not one server its many servers .... they just call it a mega server.

    Its just multiple instances...

What mmo has run smooth with 500+ players on the screen pvping... name it. Thats why I am not upset with the game.

They are currently not delivering the product they sold. I suspect that before too long free game time will be in order or you'll have people checking the fine print.

If you check that fine print you will find they do not guarantee 100% uptime.

Not sure how many of you are young enough to remember WoW being plagued by thousands of players long queues, massive graphics lag on lower settings, being unable to login, etc. All those issues were, like ESO, noticed during Beta, but not fixed by release. The game has to get released or else money runs out. It is still a business, and you cannot continue paying employees without income.

Obviously, I know this, but it's still pretty terrible PR. I suspect that they want to solve this before the 30-day period is over, and in categorical fashion. "Nothing new for a fresh MMO" isn't much of an excuse when you're trying to convince people to keep forking over money.

Personally, I wish that taking things down would actually help, but it's probably a case of increasing the server farm capacity as well as acquiring more bandwidth, and both may take more than an hour or two of downtime. We'll just have to wait and see. Chances are it'll be a week or so like this before things change noticeably.

Im more annoyed at this point that Zenimax doesnt seem to acknowledge the current issues than the fact there are issues a week after launch.

You're only getting ~2 minute chat delays?

I sent a tell and it reached them 5 minutes later. The only thing without lag for me is zone and group chat.
