Missing Bank Items, Bank Slots, & Skill Points

    I'm not even getting an email confirmation for this issue, report gold spam and my email arrives instantly though... How do I track the status of my report on this issue if I don't get an email?

    I got the bug, issued a ticket and got an e-mail almost immediately stating something like:
    "We are currently investigating a fix for the issue regarding bank space. We are confident at this time that no slots and no items have been lost, and that we will be able to return your belongings to you in a future patch."
    However, the status says "solved" even though I still don't have the bank slots or the items I lost back.

    [EDIT]: After reading through the thread I decided to take a closer at my alts inventories and as it turns out, the missing items were indeed in one of them.

    I am still seeing 60 bank slots instead of 80, some items that were in that slots are lost, and the second Explorer's Pack arrived via mail (intentionally didn't open it).

    Just wanted to let you know that I have been hit for the fourth time by the bug a few minutes ago. I haven't lost anything apart from the first time around, and I think the game is trying to tell me I should become a professional matchmaker seeing the amount of rings of Mara I got by now...

    Anyhow, this issue is far from solved. Don't put more than 60 items in your bank if you want to be on the safe side!

    Do you keep putting stuff in the bank then immediately logging out?

    Does this come every time you log in/out?

    If so, I see myself taking a break from the game until "Tuesday maintenance" when they "fix this" with a "patch".

    AFAIK there has been no official word that they are going to fix it this Tuesday. Only that it will be fixed in a "future patch".
    We have had this speculation every downtime/patch so far and nothing have been done. So wouldn't get my hopes up.

    I submitted a ticket yesterday that my inventory slots went missing and had purchased an additional 10 slots so I could move some inventory. I figured that small amount of gold would be wasted, but needed something.

    Today, those additional 10 slots are missing again. Back to 60. I understand this is being worked on and we all will have our inventory back sometime soon.

    Same here, I never received an email for my report either. I submitted ticket in game and not through the website, is this why I have no email I wonder?
    I'm glad a grabbed a screen shot of the ticket number...

    I believe it was to be fixed in a "future patch". So while tomorrow is in the future, it's optimistic to expect something to happen that soon.

    So the short answer is that, right now, we should suffer without addition space in a game that's made to intentionally limit your space? Not only is it rough, but now it's "Only sixty items!" rough?

    Seriously, guys. Give us some free bag upgrades or something. Just blanketly drop the price for the first couple bag upgrades until banks are fixed, and then you can go ahead and restore the prices and leave your gold sink intact.

    Just do something. This is painful at the moment, and I expect better from a P2P. Companies like Trion with Rift were quick to give players peace offerings and temporary solutions, particularly when the problem was on the dev's end.

    You trolling me? Sent one petition about lost gold deposited to the bank and I get an answer about you will fix lost bank upgrades in the future? Atleast read the tickets and do not respond with a generic response that has nothing with the issue being reported.

    Don't really know what items was lost with the bank slots, but the least you can do is to give the money back for the upgrades.

    Those above is my two tickets and even though you might want to call the resolved they aren't. It's a new game with the bugs all new games have, I have no problem with that. What I do have a huge problem with though is the seriously poor customer support, you guys make SWTOR/EA look good and that is quite an achievment.

    my bank upgrades also got reset

    110 > 60 and all items > 60 are gone.

    it all happened, with my twink beeing able to purchase a bank upgrade despite it beeing already maxed. I dit not change anything.

    After relog to my main, the bank was empty 0/60
    Back to twink, some items still there 60/60

    Took a 15 min breake from the game, now my main also sees the 60/60 items.

    I did the charswicthes, to trade an bound ring from my twink via Bank to my Main...

    Nothing came back, everything still missing, 10 days after my initial problem and the supposed "fix". I sent tickets, responses to emails, nothing. You are failing with an amazing rate zenimax, first time I see such a huge problem not being addressed for such a long time by such a non existent automated support system. Epic fail, im crying my money...

    I am a victim of this bug as well and I hope this post would be viewed because I hope I can shed some light on this as I have not seen this posted before:

    Use notepad and open any .lua addon including ZO_Ingame.lua and you will see ["@&lt;account name>"] = (replace <account name> with your actual account), and in my case it is ["@SoulreaveTESO&quot;] = and then a list of characters will follow, including their settings. I believe you will notice characters from Beta still in there.

    Now if you look more into this you will see another account labeled as such: [""] =
    In my case, there are characters under this 'account'. Some of these characters are characters I currently play and others are from Beta. Note that I also don't have the ability to skip past the newbie tutorial when making a new character after I was struck with the bug.

    I'm not super savvy when it comes to programming and bug squishing stuff but logically it seems that at some point the game decided my account went from "@SoulreaveTESO&quot; to "" (nothing I guess, since nothing is between those quotes!). So apparently if the information we see about these accounts on our end is showing this data than I can only imagine the server side data is really screwed up for the account of "".

    I checked and my wife has the same issue and "" account showing in her .lua only the character in the '' account is a beta character I think (not even sure she ever made a character with that name and I can't actually find out right now)

    I hope this helps ZOS figure out their own problem, and maybe they already know whats going on and just don't know how to fix it. All I can see is while playing and switching a character my account somehow turned into nothing (aka "") and the server data got jumbled up and reset pieces of my account to some default values.

    Understand I will not begin to pay monthly for ESO until major issues like this are fixed as this stuff should be done at the $60+ admission price. $15 a month doesn't go to fixing basic pieces of a game... it goes towards new content and minor bug fixes/tweeks. You'll earn sub money when you are at that point.

    my bank was at 90 slots with 35k gold in it as of Sunday morning. Around 7pm Est i was kicked from the server due to "an unknow error has occurred". when i was able to log back in my bank was back at 60 slot and i was missing 35k gold. honestly i don't care about the lost items, i would just like to have my 90 slots and 35k back.

    Why is there still no official warning so other customers do not experience this problem? Why are the bank upgrades still implemented? Zenimax is just begging for people to be pissed and quit, because they will not take simple actions to prevent this bug from progressing.

    The issue is not resolved.

    I still do not have the 10 extra bank slots I have already purchased twice and I do not have the 1,800 gold that was in the bank. I am getting ingame mail telling me my hirelings have sent me something but nothing is attached.

    This happened when switching from one character to another which I have done many times since early access - I had purchased a physical copy and put in my code for the explorer pack, etc on April 7. I don't know if that has anything to do with the bug but I've read so many horror stories that I hesitate to play least something worse happen. Fortunately, my bank was not full this time but I do want the gold returned. I happen to have a screenshot showing the gold in my bank that I took before switching characters - I took it because I saw so many in guild chat complaining about this problem.

    I had filed this as a bug report in the game about this and received this in an email telling me the same as others have listed in this very long string:

    On 4/11/14 I received duplicate imperial edition & explorer's pack messages. Shortly after, I checked my bank to discover my items, gold, and upgraded bank spaces were gone. I logged in & out a few times and eventually recovered my items and gold. I am still missing 40 bank slots (I had 100 bank slots total).

    I submitted a ticket and was told it was being worked on (as a whole - I don't think it was a reference to my individual issue). The ticket is now "solved" and I am without my upgraded bank spaces (100 total).

    Agree. I don't understand why a major notice/mail hasn't been sent to all players. Something with a big "WARNING!" on it. Tell them how to try and avoid it. Better yet disable upgrades for now (or whatever needs to be disabled) to limit the number effected by it. It just means more CS tickets piling up for the same issue and there are other issues that people need help for.

    UPDATE: I got my skills back (I think...)

    A GM messaged me in game today and did a respec on my character. He/she was rather vague as to how they figured out how many skill points I should have. Hopefully they got it right, but still I am not quite sure. My stuff and horse are still missing but they said I may get that back tonight.
    I doubt I will be compensated for spending gold on some backup gear nor on the opportunity loss of feeding my horse,,,

    This bug should never have made it out of beta. Anyways, for those of your stricken by it, was anything mentioned about it being OK to use the existing 60 slots to transfer things to mules without breaking their upcoming "fix"?

    The reason I'm asking is that I'm kind of afraid to try transferring stuff out of the bank with things in the state they are and them needing to correct my situation.

    ZOS_JessicaFolsom - is there a place where I can see the ticket numbers I have submitted? Or is that all included on the slew of emails I've gotten asking if things are resolved? Because if THAT's the case:

    140410-069979 is the one I've been talking to them about repeatedly. I just initiated a new one based on this thread and I did not write the number down, unfortunately.

    Edit: The one I submitted last night is 40410-069255 and it has been "closed - duplicate". Looking back, my previous ticket says solved...which it obviously isn't. And now they're closing my tickets. Seriously? I've been defending the coders to the core (being married to a computer science programming major has its perks) but this is getting really really *** irritating.

    My Issue:
    I have been using my account most of the day. I have had 90 bank slots unlocked for a few days. I was moving crafting materials between the bank and alts and when logging in after about 5 character swaps I now have 5 new emails containing all my Imperial edition gifts (which I have already claimed and used before) and I now only have 60 bank slots.

    Oh at least I'm not the only one who got another set of explorer packs as soon as the bank bugged out. I didn't open them because I don't have ROOM for them and I'd happily exchange those for my bank slots, items, and funds back. I've also lost my guild status repeatedly, friends list, and am unable to skip Coldharbor intro. I refuse to upgrade my bank until this glitch is fixed. I can't afford to!

    I literally shudder every time I see or think about what happened to players like you. I'm very hesitant to play this game at all for now. As I said in another thread, ESO right now isn't a game, it's a Russian Roulette simulator. *click* Nothing. *click* Nothing. *bam* Oh, I was only horribly injured (loss of bank slots, banked items, and banked gold). *BAM* I've been killed (add loss of character progression, skills points, mounts, etc.) /shudder
