Difficulty logging in

Anyone else experiencing this? I know there is a big reddit post about it, I can't quite find anything on the official forums apart from that big red notification, is it relating to this?

Are you seriously asking if the big red notification saying "we are aware some of you are experiencing long load times or lag" has anything to do with the in game lag?

It's not the in-game lag that's the problem, I can't log in to the game. Won't reach character selection screen.

Yeah login server is down for me, tried using a wayshrine to another area and got stuck in the loading screen for 5-7 minutes, forced exit and now can't get back in because of an error with the login

Maybe a better question is if anyone can log in without problems.

Yeah same, I changed to another character and now I can't get in, not a long load time, it's indefinite.

Had to do some sort of ip confirmation then it gave me an error, then a few minutes later got to character select but hanging at that point. Assuming it's lag due to the first open weekend of the game.

I stopped reading when I saw 'reddit', but yeah....apparently no one can log in.

And, if you can log in, good luck changing zones. I've been loading to Cheesemonger's Hollow for several minutes now.

Login issue currently under investigation. I was freaking out a moment with a message I got when I DID log in and it said "Account has logged in from another location." I changed my password just in case, but I think it may have something to do with the lag.

Going on 10 minutes trying to get on another character.. Hopefully they fix this soon!

Yes as the friendly big red banner at the top of all forums says and multiple threads in the tech support forums indicate ... The login server is currently crashed and burned.

I can change chars (log out to the char select) and it works fine just a little longer then normal -- have not quit the game for a few hours. Guess the login server having the issue.
