Exactly the same here.
That was the punch i needed after i got no single player endgame at all (was waiting for a friend to catch up with my Vet Rank 3 to play together, thats why i was "working" with the Alt. Subscription chancelled, Rest of the free-month left to see if things are getting better.
I got comprehension for alot of things that can go wrong on a release, but this one, like the heavy exploits, are complete fails in beta.
I don´t wreck my nerves with losing days of playtime, bad enough the "play it your way" is bs after you hit lvl 50.
@SaerydothI wonder if the issue is being caused by having alts that skipped the tutorial. I'm a completionist...I have 2 alts, but I did Coldharbor and the starting islands on both of them. That would certainly explain why I haven't been hit by the bug.
The ability to skip the tutorial was added RIGHT at the end of beta. And having you spawn in a city instead of at the starting isle was also added then.

You might be on to something!
It just happened to me again and both times, out of all my characters, it happened only when logging in with the one that skipped the tutorial.

I agree with you but for now, i found that using multiple alts works OK to spread the load.
All my alts have 80 bag slots and i'm splitting my crafting between 3 characters (one in each faction).
Not really what i had in mind, but at least it keeps me playing and enjoying the game ...
This works, and pretty much everyone is doing it. But it's insane that we should have to.
(I've actually got one character for each craft plus a mule. I'm about to start a second mule. Absurd.)
