EQ2's barber lets you change everything but race and Im pretty sure gender. Skin color hair color. My fae dirge's wings style and colors. Eye color. And if you use a racial illusion before using the barber item, you get to customize the illusion. For one gold coin.

Dark elf illusionist with a LOT of illusion spells and clickies.

We need this... badly.. with all the sliders, and just one combination you choose and thats it, forever? No we need a in gameshop/item that allows us to go back to the sliders, change what we want, give us the ability to look at the change in game first, then finalize if we like it.

A few people have commented on the desire of better character customisation, myself included.

It's listed on our ESO Improvement Megathread, if you have any other ideas, feel free to chuck them in there!

I must admit I think my main could do with a new hairstyle. It suited her when she was a young lass in Stros M'Kai setting out to see the world. Now she is a battle hardened level 36 a change might be nice to reflect the way she has grown as a character over the past 3 weeks. She has been through a lot really and her hair went through it all with her. You need a good condition and trim after a week in the Alik'r Desert.

Hope this is good news for you guys

As the constantly changing person as I am, I tend to always want to change hairstyles on my characters in-game after a little while to make it match a certain armor, or the likes. So, my question is: will it be possible to change your hairstyle or other appearances (like tattoos) in-game after you have created your character? - Therese Ström

For the initial release of the game, you’ll only be able to select hairstyle and adornment choices in the character creation screen at the beginning of the game. We hope to provide enough options to allow you to create a unique avatar. But we feel the same as you—over time, players want to change their appearance as they develop their characters, so we do have plans to release additional hairstyles, tattoos, adornments, etc. in post-launch content updates.

Strictly speaking and unfortunately this does not say anything about an appearance editor for an existing character being implemented at later point in time. Sounds more like additional hairstyles for char creation and not a feature to change the actual, existent appearance.

I completely agree! I have written this exact thing many times, both here on forums and as feedback to the developers (even back in the beta days).
I really really hope it will come, as the appearance of your character can (in some RP cases) effect your immersion. Let's say you find out you want a more rugged warrior character, and you've made a dainty princess! Or, as I have experienced, the colors are a bit different in-game vs character creation mode. (Maybe I've just gotten way to used to "showracemenu" in Skyrim :p )

I would also like to see a more detailed character creation. For example, male characters have to choose between beard or jewelry, and can't have both. And females and males can either have make-up or warpaint. It would be great to be able to choose more details - it would make characters so much more individual. B)

Crossing my fingers that it will be implemented soon (2015ish)... ;)

    No.
People's own fault if they rushed through character creation without taking some time to make all wanted adjustments. Or maybe they rushed to "reserve names"...

The only thing I can see is maybe a barber/tattoo shop to change your hair style/color or body paint.
But definitely a big no to changes like race/sex or any major appearance features.
Lol wtf? I really don't understand the logic behind this. Why are you so vehemently against it? How does it negatively impact you in any way? If people want to be able to change the race or gender of their character, they should be able to.
    What's it to you?
    It's not your character.

Why would you deny someone else an option just because you don't personally feel the need to use it....?

Also, actually pay attention to the conversation. There was a bug at launch that affected a great deal of people and caused them to not be able to zoom in during character creation.
So it's actually not their fault, and Zenimax should actually give these people free appearance changes as an apology and repair/reconciliation for what they screwed up.

Edit Appearance tab added to the character selection screen.

    Easy, and requires minimal coding.

    Done!
