But for now, the weird little situation in places like Riften brings the best out of Elder Scrolls and the MMO genre for Elder Scrolls Online--and I suspect I'll remember it more than my battles against the forces of Molag Bal a year from now. And when that happens in an MMO, the developers have done their jobs well
Because they themselves might want to level the skill before a month has passed?Darkholynova wrote: »It won't matter in a month so why would ANYONE want the devs to waste time working on it

What I'm trying to say, is that it would seem these obvious exploits should have been found before release, but since they were not, I ask if it was actually tested.
Like @driosketch said, this was something that was brought up in PTS testing, but we were very civil to each other during the PTS testing, we did not ninja loot a chest if another player failed to open it, we didn't run up and grab a node when obviously another player was there first, and we did not do stuff to each other to make it impossible to enjoy every aspect of the game, like farming the same bosses or killing of all of one type of mob.
We agree Jessabella, in beta everyone was polite, no one node, or chest Stole, All these snot nosed kids that are playing MMO's these day do not have any etiquette.
Back in the day such as in the first original MMO's like Meridian 59, Ultima Online, & Ever Quest people would not kill steal, loot steal, or node steal, for one it was an I.P. Account Ban able offence..... and the community would report names of players who had no gaming etiquette, or was a griefer, or trolls.
Kids these day thinks its cool to be called a troll, they think being a smart ass little *** make them popular..... Once the community put you on the "Black List" no one would group with you, buy from you, buy any of your items in the Auction House, Kicked you out of all guilds, and pretty much exiled you from the game. To bad the gamer community of today would still do that... Imagine how friendly and courteous the MMO world would be today.
Here is some common since gaming etiquette that we use......When my wife and I play if we see someone heading to a resource node we do not power rush up and steal the node from the other player. If someone got there first we will let them have it, if we even think that we may have stolen a node by accident we would do a trade and give them what we looted. or would at the least say sorry, would you like to have it lets trade.
Most games no longer have Kill stealing problems due to it no longer matters who hits the creatures for the most damage gets the loot, now its just whoever hits it first. Here again the proper gaming etiquette would be if you see someone running to the same mob if they get there fist let them have it.... Most games you can help kill the mobs now so you cab help as long as the other player dose not mind the help. personally We just hang back and only help if it looks like they are going to die, at that point we will toss them a heal, or if not a healer we would through in some hits to help kill the mob before they kill the player.
Trolling & Griefing, we are not sure when American society change to where children and immature adults started thinking being an ass hole was cool, maybe when it no longer became politically correct to spank the *** out of our kids when they could no longer distinguish right from wrong?
Perhaps the game developers should start making a better community by monitoring their chat more closely, anyone caught Griefing, Trolling, Bullying, or just being a general ass hole in chat should be an I.P. account banned.
Life is short folks, most of us work very hard long days and all we want to do is enjoy a game to get us out of IRL for a bit. The last thing we want to do is bring In Real Life into our gaming world... so please try to be respectful to each other, show some common since gaming etiquette, lets play and have fun with each other and keep civil. after all..... you never know when you was an ass hole to a healer and when you need that heal...they just walk away and let you die

Demanding real life currency should of course be banned. But paying for it with in-game currency? Sure thing. I will never understand those of you who want to sacrifice immersion for comfort and coddling. Just be better than these people at finding the bloodfiends. Took me 5 minutes of reading to find out how. And 15 mins after entering the zone at nighttime I contracted the disease.
Now, I don't sell my gift. I arrange the Rallick Nom Vampire games. Where the winner gets an infectious bite, good fun.
Thank you for posting this, i was going to myself but no need to. I am a RPer and dislike when griefers claim to be RPers and claim they are roleplaying...the only role i see them playing is that of a jerk. But in the end i think they are jerks IRL thus don't know any better. The only problem with claiming roleplay for griefing like this is that no real roleplayer would purposely go out of their way to exploit it like this. Trying to horde the mob and sell the bite is exploiting.

I kill the werewolves as soon as I see them. This is so I can still make players give me 15k to 30k gold ingame for my bite
I'm playing the game as Zenimax allows me too. If I happen to run by and those werewolves aggro me ... well I better kill them to make them stop and oh look I get crafting materials from as well.
But I can taste the tears of people in this thread, nom nom nom

No one is "stealing from you". They are simply better at this game then you
which precu you mean? jedi village or level all professions? in both scenarios you knew when you will get to jedi.. there was no super random spawn needed like vamp/ww
sure it was pain in the *** but everyone knew, there is a specific time, when they will archieve it...
edith says:
dont forget, in both scenarios, you had to do anything and not camping hours of hours for nothing..
