Still broken. Oct 2. It's ok that it's broken 7 months or more though, it's only breaking a guild quest line.

And yes I'm angry, dropping the quest and picking it back up starts you way back, not at the start of the forge. big waste of time.

This worked for me just about a week ago FYI. I think this may have been where my health was not restoring after battle, and I took potions to restore it - but I'm not sure if this is where that happened.

Sadly this quest is in fact still broken for me as well - Merrick is still at the forge after fighting the queen and won't run to find his friend.

Quiting the game and starting the Earth Forge part again (without abandoning the whole quest) seems to solve the issue. However, second time Merric has been brought down the knees again despite healing I've done. The stupid redguard stays in AoE...

I don't think heal spells work on NPC companions?

So apparently this issue was supposed to be fixed a year ago, but I still encountered that *** ass bug today and I had to waste 30 mins of my life trying to figure this *** ass gay quest and now I have to drop it and do it all over again.

Maybe try fixing the quest line before releasing 2 different DLCs to the game?

So how can I complete this quest? I cannot replay it because it just starts with bugged part in Earth Forge.

This is no longer an issue experienced by most players and was resolved quite some time ago. As such we are locking this thread. This is an outdated discussion and it is for this reason that necros are typically discouraged on the forums.

If you are still having difficulties with passing the Aelif portion of this quest, please make sure that you follow her at her pace. Many players skip ahead of her which can either bug the content or don't allow her to actually make her conversation. IF this doesn't resolve the issue, you will find that unlike when this issue first occurred Mage's Guild, Fighter's Guild, and Main Storyline quests will reset given time. We suggest logging out for 15 minutes and logging into that character again to resume the quest. (This has likely been discovered by you at this time.)

As opposed to bumping an old thread, if you are still having an issue, please start a new thread on this topic and we will be happy to take a further look into the matter to see if there are any other workarounds.
