True Full Screen Support (from a GM)

I had a long discussion with a GM about ESO not being "true" full screen mode and wanted to pass along his response. Here's the details so those know a possible fix is coming:

"Thank you for the pictures, it truly allow me to understand where you were coming from. The full-screen mode working as intended, you are correct this is not true full-screen mode. As of right now there no changes or fix for this. Please keep checking after updates or the FAQ's to see if a true full screen mode available."

It is most likely this will not be resolved any time. Not sure why they went this route, quite disappointing - but there's your answer.

I like how they apparently needed pictures and convincing that the game doesn't support full-screen mode.

Yep. I took two screenshots: one with the game, one after pressing "Windows" key on the keyboard proving the game was not in True Full-Screen mode. It took a lot of replies to the ticket, but once he saw the "Windows Start Menu" overlapping the game he understood quickly.

I have heard that a true full screen mode is in the works for a future patch.

Actually this doesn't surprise me since you were talking to a GM. I learned a long time ago that GM's are not devs or code monkeys you really need to be asking such questions. In a 5 years even these people will not recognize their own infrastructure and database.

Possible, but from the sounds of it there will not be a patch containing the fix for some time.

your rumormongering is all nice but they have already confirmed that full screen is not supported yet, but coming with a patch. source: reddit AMA as far as I remember. search for yourself
