Status effects

I was thinking of trying:

2 items: Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
3 items: Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
4 items: Adds 657 Critical Chance
5 items: Adds 200% Status Effect Chance while your Health is above 50%. Adds 10% Healing Done while your Health is 50% or less.

But when I hear 200% status effect, that is not a guarantee.... or does 200% mean it is still useful because of defences (anti status buffs?)

Thanks,

Z

So status effects have a chance to trigger when damage of a specific type is done. While there are some sources that always apply status effects, like both morphs of snipe, most abilities work off of these chances. Weapon enchantments have a 20% chance to trigger status effects, so a fire enchantment triggering a burn, single target abilities go down to 10%, aoe abilities 5%, single target damage over time abilities go down to 3%, and aoe damage over time skills down to 1%. That 200% is based on increasing that base chance, similar to the destruction staff passive and some champion point passives. Those values are what are being referred to when it comes to status effect chance.

check it on build editor. 200% isn't that much - Torug's Pact can do a bit more with charged weapon, and base number is already high with CP enabled and on destruction staff. And you might want Threads of War which enables status effects for light attacks
