OK - pointy closed toe, or boots, or heels - but pls PLEASE talk to them about whatever the worn out flip-flop saggy ankle this is.
(screen cap lowers quality a bit sorry!)

LOLOLOL
How on earth are you ever looking that closely at your character's feet?! I never look at my guys that closely.

They're clearly all attached to each other on your one-piece foot, and fine. Nobody wants to sacrifice 10 fps for every single character to have indidivual toes wriggling about, but the texture work doesn't do the one-piece foot any favors. Toes end up looking deformed and grody as heck and sandals draw way too much attention to them.
Oh well. I was never a foot guy, anyway. All well and good. Costume is still an absolute banger.
Yep and if archeage can do it, and well - no excuse imho. OR boots, OR the pointy toed things on the 'belly dance' style outfits. Literally anything but what looks like value flipflops from the grocery store - just the whole quality is bad, vs the rest of the costume which is LOVELY.Is there any armor set or style or costume that actually comes with genuine HEELS? I can't think of one. Everything I'm aware of is flat-footed as heck: flat boots, flat shoes, flat sandals.
I'm pretty sure this is the point in the conversation where someone wafts out of the rafters and starts shrieking about "technical limitations" in ESO. But considering far FAR older MMOs manage to have a plethora of heeled footwear without it imploding their game: I don't buy it.
ESO could if they wanted to. If I had to guess, I'd say they don't think there's enough of a profit incentive to tackle the technical side.
Which is hilarious. Because I think everyone and their brother would be clamoring to put their Hot Altmer Girl in heels. All the Lusty Argonian Maids and Sexy Dancing Cat Boys of Rimmen would line up to throw their money at ZoS.

The Secret World and Star Trek Online, both older MMOs, have also both had heels and flats for footwear cosmetics figured out for many years. I agree it's cringe when ESO ruins an otherwise beautiful piece with ugly low effort details like this just because they're lazy and patently REFUSE to overhaul and update their dated, janky systems. The second-hand embarrassment is real sometimes, lol.

the mythic Mad God's Dancing Shoes from West Solstice has a heel and they are curled jester shoes.
sadly we cannot collect mythic styles so can only see it if we equip.
