people saying truth. we do the same stuff for years and we're tired of it. this "unique event that will be available once and never again" is the same event as every holiday event tho.32 -

... Do they have to be light attacked for the drop? I haven't done any event quests yet but forcing people to LA for drops seems diabolical0 -

any damage for it to count as you "assisted/killed" and get a drop. the problem is: those items isn't 100% dropchance.0 -

They seem to die too fast to get drops at all if you don’t LA.4 -

It was the first major piece of Aetherius to fall on Nirn in more than five hundred years. It scattered around the world as millions of shards. It was rapidly documented by Lady Cinnabar of Taneth in her pamphlet Aetherial Fragments that "... when three shards meet, they re-form into a silvery prism by unknown process and confer the power unlocked by the merger to a nearby being." The Order of the Black Worm, commonly known as the Worm Cult, reappeared in Tamriel shortly thereafter and some of its members are avidly searching said shards.
In the last week of First Seed 2e579, an arcane explosion occurred in the Imperial City — a night of storms, and trembling terrain. They named it the "Soulburst". That day Emperor Varen Aquilarios disappeared without a trace. His wife, Clivia Tharn, ascended to the Ruby Throne as Empress Regent under the guidance of the Necromancer Mannimarco. Ushering a time of increased instability within the Empire of Cyrodiil which finally grew into “The Three Banners War”.11 -

Vitrified souls seem to drop like candy from lots of the enemies at the “defend siege camps” areas.

✭Tbh this is kind of what I expected this year. Solstice was tiny and garbage overall. The second “half” of Solstice is even smaller. Worst year of content ever.
I spent over an hour on the event today. My abiding memories are:-
1. Lag. Oh god, Cyrodiil flashbacks!!!
2. Rewards aren’t great.
3. Golden pursuit isn’t great either.
4. A lot running around - a lot! - for not much return. Yay a pet! A mount I’ll never use! Snooze.
For the first time since ever, I’m sitting this out. It’s just not fun.

Changed drop rates of these needed materials. Made varied different quests to help with event burnout. Widened the reward pool. Put some more furniture in there, other styles. Once in a lifetime event, never to happen again. Let's go all in.5 -

It's a perfectly acceptable piece of content, with some nice twists (such as the taken over delves/PDs with some more powerful mobs), and a fun world event (siege camps).
The problem is, and typically always is with ZOS and new content, is that a spike in players mean that all of those things aren't given a proper viewing because they die so damn quick.

Not for everyone. The game's notorious RNG design often leaves players entirely out of luck on a daily basis. For every player that is having great luck, there's another player who's having horrendous luck. Been that way in ESO from day one.

✭✭✭✭Do not like this event at all, so far it has not been fun to play! The spawnrate and droprate for the quest items/monsters is too low, the drops for the event specific rewards are x/25 again. So no "Yay, I got the item" but instead "24 to go, *sigh*". The droprate for the quests/event specific rewards should have been spread out throughout the entire game, so we can play the game the way we like.
Seeing the golden pursuits requiring so many frustrating quests just killed my motivation to play. Ugh!
Have to give this event a 3 out of 10 so far. Many improvements to this event are needed ASAP!11 -

Look, nobody is a bigger fan of this game than me. I’ve played since the beta. But the event isn’t fun. I’m generally pretty happy with the game but this event is a huge disappointment.
