I agree. I did qualify my statement that I inferred the daily login rewards to be an added incentive, as in a little extra.

For the most part I agree that the GPs are ok for rewarding play. That said, however, both the GPs and the endeavors have lots of room for improvement

I am happy with both just as they are.

Also, what could be the reason we're not even getting tri-pots this month? That has always been one of the the classic login rewards, and something many of us actually use.

Not being satisfied with the daily login rewards is fine. Just be honest about it and say "I want better stuff".

But to insinuate that ZOS is making the player's job difficult or miserable by heaping on unwanted items is a bit much. Claiming the rewards is optional. But even if you're a completionist, then a second of your time once a day to clicky on Destroy isn't exactly hard labor.

Allowing us to trade garbage items for 1 gem wouldn't exactly be hard labor either. Allowing us to sell them to a vendor for 1g wouldn't be hard labor. Just adding a SKIP day button, so we could bypass days to get to the next wouldn't be hard labor.

How did you get the idea, they shall generate real money currency for free stuff? That's beyond me, sorry.
For gold, hm, yeah, maybe, but i don't know how easy or not that would be to implement. No clue.
But a skip-button, i'm pretty sure, would flood the support all the time with "mimimi", like "ahhh, accidently skipped the tri-pots, pleeeeease help me...". If that's not hard labor, then what?

Anyway, for me it's not a real issue. But i'm missing the 10-year-celebration-structure of the login rewards a bit, too.
What's the reason for this, for example:
    BretonMage wrote: »
That's two months in a row they didn't include a "special" reward in the middle of the month. It was nice to get a little mid-month treat, even if it's a little pet, an accessory or an emote. Even though I don't usually expect much from the daily rewards, these past 2 months' rewards have been rather boring.

So for me personal i would find it great, if there would be 3 specials a month (like housing items, collectibles, emotes, whatever), some seals of endeavor and maybe 2 crates.
Tri-pots and chicken are a must, i think. Golden mats also.
Other potions don't need to be in such masses, but i'm sure, there are other opinions out there.
However, this month is a bit flat, tri-pots are maybe just an oversight (double poison?), but it's not that bad for free.
    As a reminder, this month:

    I agree with this.

While I do understand that they aren't going to want to give away apex rewards or entire DLCs for free (and they shouldn't as a common thing) it would be nice to get a little something in the daily rewards.

A flower furnishing plan (so that you can make more if you want them), a small non-combat pet. A mount.

Something like these every once in a while (doesn't even have to be *every* month)

Because while daily rewards absolutely can help new players, I feel they are meant to keep *everyone* coming back, and the new players will quickly run out of need for most of the stuff given away.

At least allow us to sell/give away the stuff we do get! I know people are always talking about tri-pots, and i have stacks of the daily rewards! It would be nice to give them to someone that could use them instead of just destroying them.

pick 33 bugloss 33 columbine 33 mountain flower once a fortnight and your laughing again (or 1 or 2 surveys in the slow months) i do understand the legwork of harvesting 3 of each per day can be an exhausting effort for more than the monthly reward sometimes though especially when you get lucky and start harvesting 2 of everything in a row which maybe (i dont know) why it is not there this month as making them aswell for the players was a stretch too far this month

You mean like generating real money currency i.e. Seals of Endeavor for free by finishing one daily quest? You realize you would have to destroy 400 days worth of daily login junk to get enough gems for one apex mount, right? I don't think the ability to turn over a year's worth of garbage into one way-too flashy mount is going to break the ESO coffers. Hey, if you are happy to collect and delete 21 days worth of login rewards this month, good on you. It's not a way I would prefer to spend my free time when there are solutions out there.

Star Wars the Old Republic has even worse daily login rewards than this game. The big difference: All of the garbage can be sold to the vendors so you at least get something out of it instead of the fun mini-game of delete and CONFIRM.

With harmony and synergies being such a staple element of Undaunted, I won't be surprised to see any pursuits that require synergies inside of a dungeon. Granted that can be done with a companion if the companion has undaunted skills slotted.

I am noticing that lately there are a lot more "help for new character" rewards like research scrolls and riding lessons (surprisingly none of those this month), but there's very little reason in game for us to make new characters.

It has sorta been "known" for a long time that these rewards are for newer players more than established players. I would think that established players have a reason for logging in and it isn't the free food that is doing that.

For me, the main purpose of daily rewards is to keep track of how many times I log in during the month. If they are handing out something interesting, I pay more attention, otherwise, I just collect the stuff when I get it.
The nicer rewards should be for actually playing, which is what they have done with the Golden Pursuits.

I think the Golden Pursuits are better than daily rewards for established players. My main objection to them is just the level of social engineering that they could leverage.

I want free mounts in daily rewards again. Will not be the case this month. Free mounts appeared in daily login rewards before, hoping this has not be buried with and due to the new golden pursuit mode... :o

This month is again free stuff, but (of course or not) not of much help for a veteran

"To get something out of" is another totally different thing. As i stated, i'm with you, if that "wouldn't be hard labor". But i guess, it's not that easy.
Edit: And the last point ("the fun mini-game of delete and confirm"), to be constructive, maybe would be a possibillity for a skip button. But wouldn't it be the same then? Ok, may be one or two clicks less.
Nonsense, my bad. Sometimes i'm wondering about myself. Just don't claim it.

The reward fits the activity required to earn it. It's free stuff for doing nothing but logging in.

I agree. The daily log in reward does not have to be like power creep and get better each month. It is just a randomized allotment of free stuff handed out each month to current players. Nothing more nothing less. Depending on the player each day and month may be more or less rewarding, but it is still free and random. ESO does offer many ways to accumulate free stuff..

They offer free daily log in rewards.
    They offer daily endeavors
    They offer weekly endeavors
They also off occasionally free items in the crown store.

    Plus, more...

many of these things take virtually no energy to accomplish.

    Cheers!

I mentioned this last night to my kid and a friend. The rewards weren't specatcular this month.
I don't want to be ungrateful, because I usually LOVE getting the tri pots, the roast chickens and XP scrolls. But all of those poisons and refreshing drinks are useless to me. I don't mind the tempers or the ink, they are also useful, but not so much the soul gems, poisons and things like alliance points.
    Just an opinion.

One train of thought argues that we should be too disappointed by the daily logins since they are free.

But then we factor in the time it takes do destroy the worthless crud in our inventories. The problem is most of us are doing the latter.

Well.. these are free things, and i like freebies. :)

Still, dear @ZOS, if you are reading this: maybe you could consider helping new players and replace not-highly-demanded by seasoned players potions with riding lessons? Fortunately, there are always new players in ESO. Or at least new characters.

I also understand that you would like to move shinies exclusively to Golden Pursuits, to incentivize spending more time in game, still you might throw into daily logins something nice like a stylish costume, or a pair of crates just to show you are generous & care about players? Just saying. Summer vacations season is over.

On the other hand, September rewards allow me not to login often, and, maybe, have some life, or try new steam games. :|

Garbage that most players will not use.
Here’s the thing. Daily rewards aren’t for us veterans. They’ve never been. They’re for newer people who are getting into the game for the first time. Yes, tri-pots are useful. But at this point, the guild stores are chock full of them and I don’t know a single long-time player who can’t craft them.

Also, think about the community response whenever some limited-time item gets thrown out there as a mundane reward. People get mad because they “earned it” and others won’t.

There could also be idk a *choice* of items Newbie shet or like forfeit that stuff for a piece of a collectible per week until u get it at the end. IDK.

The reward fits the activity required to earn it. It's free stuff for doing nothing but logging in.

Well you're not wrong, but the purpose of free daily rewards is to provide an incentive for players to login to the game to play. Sure some might just login for the rewards, but some will login and maybe queue up for a dungeon or battlegrounds, and that makes all the difference to help the game feel more full and alive with people.

So by not providing any real collectibles, the most used tri-pots or chicken food, or even providing a rare currency like endeavor seals, a lot of players don't have the motivation/incentive to login this month.

And there are countless collectibles that could throw in there, even the 10000th variation of pet dog, just something to motivate us to login. Just my two cents anyway.
Necromancer summons are still bugged in U47 on live and it has been 77 days since ZOS has said anything.

It takes so little effort to add something nice to the daily rewards. Since I've been playing solidly for the last two years there has always been something to look forward to in the daily rewards, the last two months there has been nothing, it's mostly junk that I won't ever use except for the XP scrolls. This is indicative of a company that's lost interest in its players I'm afraid.

Well - I actually paid for it, so there is that.
But - why are they not including the JC improvement (Chromium Plating) they changed them so they would be more like the other improvements, but they forgot them in the rewards.
