I do sometimes wonder at the strategic thinking at ZoS.

Anniversary must be the biggest event in-game - certainly in the top two. It draws players in and encourages them to try new content. We've also JUST had the PVP events, which will have drawn new players into trying PVP and Cyrodiil.

By including one or two PVP-centric Pursuits in the mix, new entrants to PVP would have had a good reason to continue. If we want to lean more to PVE, there're six dailies in Imperial City.

Instead we get Tales of Whatever. Does ANYONE actually play that?

Why not make additional tasks for other/all playstile or reduce the number of tasks to get unique item reward so all playstiles can get them and do not have to change playstile.

I think the point of both endeavors and golden pursuits is to encourage trying new things. I do agree that maybe for an anniversary event it would make sense to have some options from all areas of the game. I don't agree that every golden pursuit should be achievable without doing anything beyond what you already do every day.

It's impossible to get the beast personality from march of sacrifices if all I do is run in circles in bal foyen harvesting mats. Does that mean zos should change the requirements for the personality to be "complete MoS hardmode OR harvest 10000 mats in bal foyen"?

Golden pursuit rewards are an achievement like any other, they're just time limited. There's no reason they should be given to every player just for doing what they already do. We have those type of things already, they're called daily login rewards.

And because they are time limited they should not be too difficult or time consuming for players.

If you don't have time/requirements/urge to finish achievement now you can always do them later and if you quit game never doing them you will never miss them. They are always available.
But if tasks expire you have to do them now or their rewards are lost so you can never do/get them and player feel urged to do them before they expire even if they would have never done them otherwise

As an anniversary event this event pretends to focus on the whole game with all of its content rather than one specific type of content and the golden pursuit is coordinated with this event, therefore PvP should at least be a way to do a
part of the golden pursuit tasks without handicap yourself(PvP quest very slow).

ZOS encouragement to try new things is getting too much and always increasing and for many players the content is not new anymore but played until get bored.
An unlimited time nonexpiring golden pursuit would encourage players players to try new content at any time without making players repeat content they already decided to be unfun or creating Fomo. Most things are already checked for achievements, with rewards and content overview players would try it when they want and maybe like it rather than expirience it as a chore and decide it to be unfun.

The previous Golden Pursuit was 100% PVP. You got that and you still want more.

Yes, I want more. Why wouldn't I want more?

PvP is fun, and it's as legitimate of an experience as PvE. Imagine if I said:
The previous Golden Pursuit was 100% PVE. You got that and you still want more.
...in response to the next Golden Pursuit. I'd only say that if I felt like PvE was a necessary obligation to satisfy those players.

It’s just I will have to do group dungeons, arena, trials and/or IA to finish out the 20 items and those are fairly time consuming so it cuts into actual PvP.

    Just my opinion.

    EDIT: typo

FG1 takes 5 min solo. IA arc 1 takes 15 min. If you really want the rewards it’s not much effort.

I will do it, I am just suggesting a way to improve the system. I already spend a lot of time in PvE for other things.

By the way one arc of IA takes me way more than 15 minutes. More like an hour.

An HOUR for arc 1? What are you playing as your dps, a healer?

I have a trials arcanist that I use but I have to use a tank companion.

I usually stop and take some breaks, I don’t like to sit there and mash buttons constantly. I do the side rooms as well.

Actually, I have to correct myself since I ran IA yesterday and it had been a while.

It doesn’t take me an hour to do one arc but it does for two. I’m still working on the ghost daily and have to get through more than one arc to get enough fabled for the daily.
