    Sorcs are way too overtuned.
    Couple of suggestions.
    1. Somehow limit the streak, it being able to be cast 6-7 times in a row is insane, no class can catch up to them, and if the sorc has more than 10 brain cells he will cast dark deal in between and he can streak for 30 minute straight like what???? Put idk like 3 sec delay on the streak or disable streak for 5-10 seconds after casting streak 2 times in the span of 5 seconds to not hurt pve sorcs as well.
    2. Remove healing from wards, like it's a shield or a heal not both! sorcs get 1 get of jail free card called streak, well no they get 2 the ward, they can spam that shield while healing to full very OP.

    Streak needs more of a scaling cost with multiple casts. Its sure doesn't feel like the 33% increase in cost has any effect on spamming it. I can track sorcs down with Chains of Devastation until they run out of mag, but it takes at least 5-6 jumps for the sorc, but then he's dead.

    The heal on the ward though is ridiculous. Pick one or the other

    Whales play as ranged proc spammers. So they made it easier for them to spam during bridge and gate fights. Helping them to stay away from those pesky melee sweats.
    This recent update has made me sad. Sad for the game. Sad for the community. Sad to pay whatever it is now. I want the previous eso back.

    Back in the day when the game first came out, it was likely there to better enable enjoyable battle for keeps in cyro.

    The problem is that ranged damage isnt discounted fairly to compensate for this. I hold a two handed weapon that can hit about 10-15 percent harder than ranged, all else equal. The problem is that, being so far away and with great mobilty, you can easily build into damage and hit as hard or harder than melee can because melee has to account for blocking and more damage mitigation. This is only compounded by the fact that sorcs are rewarded with even greater survivability by building more I to damage. This is why you see sorcs bursting people down from 30m away. Because they get too much reward for building into to damage and they're ranged damage isn't adequately discounted for the fact that they can hit from so far away.

    It's 100% broken that sorcs work this way. It's laughable.

    Damage should go down linearly the further you are from your target

    Power creep has only made this worse. Ranged is way too strong and sorcs are way too strong. It's a toxic cocktail.

    It's shields plus heals plus mobility plus insane ranged damage. Sorcs have all of this and get more of it the more they build into damage. It's 100% busted right now.

    The idea of balance changes is to make things overall more competitive. Zos has made balance completely go off the rails with the change to ward. It's a giant meme and probably cost zos subscriptions. The change to ward ranks up there with going live with roa as, imho, one of the worst changes in the history of this game.

    I have a PvP magsorc, and I don’t quite understand how hardened ward is so overpowered. It only lasts for like 2 seconds. I have it, I use it, I still die a lot. There are plenty of other players who can steamroll right over me in the blink of an eye. I’m not trolling, I am asking an honest question. I can remember when I used it in PvE a long time ago and it was 8 seconds or something.

    It seems like the same argument that was used to nerf nightblade’s cloak. Everyone said how powerful it was but it only lasted 2 seconds (before they changed it). Now cloak is hard for my PvE stamblade but I bet a PvP magblade is able to do well with it now.

    You raise a good point. It's, not just ward. At least i dont think it is. It's the entire kit. I tried alluding to that above. I don't know if nerfing ward is the answer to be honest, but that one change made sorcs unbalanced in pvp. So it's easy to point to that change. Ideally shields wouldn't scale with magicka. It's like having a car that increased in mpg the harder you pushed the accelerator down. It just doesn't make sense.

    So I looked it up and it’s 6 seconds, seems much shorter lol.

    I’m guessing it was changed because no pet sorc was so much weaker than pet sorc. Shields are scaled with magicka but are capped at max health, so if you are putting as much into magicka as possible in PvP your health will not be high. I think mine is about 28k buffed with food.

    There are some insanely powerful magsorcs on my server, but I think they are rare. Personally I feel dragonknights and wardens, and maybe even nightblades are more powerful than sorcs right now. I’ve fought some seriously tanky nightblades who could kick my butt.
