Why do I get a bonus 1,200 WD/SD when in a Random Normal Dungeon?

Been noticing that for whatever reason I go from 4,9K WD/SD to 6,1K WD/SD whenever I'm inside of a random normal dungeon event, and once the event clears from killing the final boss it drops back down to 4,9K

What's with that large bonus?

    Possibly, but the tooltips for all my abilities are also lying to me then. Being increased. And under certain conditions it seems like they are accurate. (like hitting a 60K crit Merciless when inside of a dungeon while my tooltip says 21K base outside (I only have effectively 96% added crit damage, though this might also be an issue with bad maintenance of multiplicative effects)), possibly from other debuffs/buffs from other players though)

    ....That post is from literally 7 years ago. Why hasn't this been fixed?

    (given this hasn't been fixed, also probably a reason as to why I can hit a 60K crit with a base of 21K and only 96% increased Crit damage (50% base +46%))

    Yes. As I had demonstrated, this affects both the character sheet and ability tooltips, but your actual damage remains the unchanged by this phantom buff.

    Is anyone in your group running Powerful Assault, Spell Power Cure (or Olorimes), and a scribed ability granting Minor courage? That would give you nearly 1000 extra Weapon/Spell Damage before you apply major Sorcery/Brutality, or a little over 1200 when you apply either of those bonuses. These are common sets that healers often run in dungeons too.

    Is anyone in your group running Powerful Assault, Spell Power Cure (or Olorimes), and a scribed ability granting Minor courage? That would give you nearly 1000 extra Weapon/Spell Damage before you apply major Sorcery/Brutality, or a little over 1200 when you apply either of those bonuses. These are common sets that healers often run in dungeons too.

    Sometimes (though not too common as this is in random normal and there’s a broader range of players and gearing), as I do notice that I can hit upwards of 7k WD/SD

    But as far as I’m aware those need to be cast to take effect, and this bump occurs as soon as I port into a dungeon via the queue. I’m also using Oakensoul, so I have minor courage already (and the majority of damage buffs).

    Well then I'm not sure why you are getting an increase in damage. It could be a display bug if you aren't noticing a marked increase in damage output. It could also be that some dungeons offer different buffs if you kill the secret bosses, but that certainly wouldn't be in effect the moment you land in the dungeon.

    If anyone is running Spaudler of Ruin, that would grant you a large damage buff when it is active, and it could be active all the time, but it wouldn't account for a 1200 WD/SD increase.

    I thought you were talking about the stat sheet increase in general.

    Yes it’s possible the damage increase itself is due to player buffs.

    It's been well established that there is a phantom stat buff from using the Dungeon Finder. It's been a thing since 2016 if not even earlier, and this is absolutely what they are seeing.
