Characters you want to see return in the future

We have had so lamy winderful characters throughout our adventures in ESO. Who would you like to see return in a future update?

Personally I miss Cadwell alot, but I can understand if they are unable to bring him back.

Another person I have been waiting for forever is Dringoth. I miss him so much! Absolutely loved the guy, and as far as I remember he went off to explore the wold and got lost in coldharbour, but after that, I can't remember where he ended up. I loved his character and have been wanting him to appear.

The Augur of the Obscure and the psijic mage (name escapes me atm) need to make a return again.
Last we saw, they went off on a journey, haven't heard from them since, unless I missed something
The Augur's humor was priceless.

Also, I want to hear from our not so good adversary Molag Bal again. He is one of my favorite daedric princes and I want to see more quests involving him, unless he's just forever restricted to the main story and it may never happen.

Aside from those, there's Heem-Jas, the cast of the DB and Thieves guild (would love to have more missons concerning my Dark Brothers and Sisters and fellow larcenists), Choixth (random encounters?), or even (dare I say it) Raz again.
@Djennku, PCNA.

Grand Master crafter, all styles and all furnishing plans known pre U41.
Vamp and WW bites available for players.
Shoot me an in-game mail if you need anything, happy to help!

I would love to see Darien again. But also slightly terrified given that Jakarn (my other go-to) went from career best character depth to... Somebody's servant(?!?!?!). The way Darien was left is pretty horrifying, though, so at least some closure would be nice.

The other one I'm intrigued about is Dark Stibbons but I suspect that ship has sailed.

I'm well known to be a big Azura fan, and she (voiced by Lynda Carter) is married to Zenimax's boss, so still very much in the Elder Scrolls family.

FYI he passed away in 2021.

I'm always up for seeing Naryu. I'd also like to work with Valaste again (I didn't leave her insane). Who else? Lyranth, Lady Laurent and Stibbons are always good for a laugh (what happened to them in Gold Road?), Siravaen. The surviving ambitions from Blackwood. The anchorite. I'm sure there are more that aren't coming to mind right now.

Count Verandis Ravenwatch of course!!! And it was great seeing Finn again for Gold Road. But I loved the vampire questline.

I also liked Zamarak from Northern Elsweyr.

Khajiit is eager for a few characters to never return, like Narsis Dren, who, in khajiit's view, ruins every otherwise enjoyable quest he participates in with his snively pseudo superiority and faux intellectualism.

As long as they aren't a previously dead, missing, or presumed dead, spindled, or mutilated character, can stay suitably in the background, and don't follow me around too much, I'm game.

I think my favorites are known by now (Sotha Sil, Revus Demnevanni, Fennorian, Divayth Fyr, the Vanos siblings are also fine), but what would be most important for me is that the quest is well-written and fits the character and the place (so the character isn't just obviously thrown in because it's a fan favorite). What I'd also love would be some real character development, although I'm not sure if we'll ever get to see that. Probably not if ZOS sticks to their "play all chapters in any order" idea.

I also don't think this is ideal but very likely there many players who keep a toe in but don't necessarily buy every expansion.

I'm returning and trying to play everything in order, and meant to pick up Deadlands which I think is the only major one I'm still missing when it was on sale recently but forgot.

    Until the next sale then...

There's so many characters we never saw again but deserve to: Malkur Valos, the Shad Astula trio, the Voljar Meadery boys, Rurelion and Gathwen, Bakkhara and Kargand, the Dancing Scrib performers, Saranderl's Carnival, Telenger the Artificier, Captain Albert Marck, King Fahara'jad, Throne Keeper Farvad, Angof the Undying (to some extent), and more... I can't put them all !
As I saw here Melar Sadus, the Green Lady and the Silvenar and Cariel too
And the cliffhanger stories of Blackheart Haven and Vaults of Madness

Most returning characters are Flanderized in such a way that returning them makes them into a hollow shell of what they were. I will say 99% of the time, I'm disappointed in returning characters.

There are also those that are put in for (very ham-handed) comic relief that misses with a lot of people - those like Lady Laurent (abuse is funny when it's a woman abusing a man, amirite?), or Rigurt (stereotyping people as drunken buffoons is ok as long as they're Nords, right?). Both of those were never funny, and have only gotten more and more offensive as time has gone on. They both need to stay buried in the past.

The one character I'd like to see return above anyone else would be Holgunn from the basegame Pact line - a very level-headed brother-in-arms. Still, I fear that he'd get the same treatment as the rest of them and "returning Holgunn" would end up as little more than a drunken boor (because lol drunk Nords, right?)

I find them less and less funny in the later chapters, but it is heavily implied that what they are doing is consensual.

He's a stereotype, but whom exactly does he offend? I'm seriously curious. Nords don't exist in the real world, the closest to Nord would be the people from Scandinavia, and I doubt any person who sees Rigurt makes up their opinion about Scandinavians by this character.

Have to say that I agree. Laurent/Stibbons and Rigurt are loathed by me because their "bit" is just so over the top that it is not amusing but rather more an annoyance when I see them in new zones.

Holgunn was great; in fact, I like a lot of characters from those starter zones. Would be interesting to see where life has taken Lokra (though that does rely on choosing one of two options in her quest). And I'd love to see an actual continuation of Darien's story/a Meridia chapter but, like you, I worry that the return of any of these characters will be OOC portrayals and not have any kind of true development so maybe it's better not.

Holgunn would be a okay, but I think he represents too much authority to be involved. They could make him a drunken boor and keep him on the sidelines, though. Sort of a Count Calantius dullard treatment where we help him find his pet guar that he lost in a drunken game of Tribute.

Thank you, I was hoping I wouldn't have to go look up their names (I am horrible at remembering names :P), but yeah, I would love those those all to come back, especially if Revus has the magister's son? or was he a magister himself? I can't remember now *sigh*
