People who don't own Arcanist
People who prefer Nightblade's play style
People who don't want to start new characters/don't have alts and their main IS a nightblade
People who like Nightblades because red blood magic assassin.
People who think Arcanists' green theme is garish and ugly (I like it but it IS garish I can't deny that)
People who want to play a vampire and want those abilities to blend with the class. Nightblade is perfect for this
Thief characters
Assassin characters
Because not everyone just plays the meta.

It would be significantly better if not cyro lag and toggle abilities not very much liking each other. Even Overload has problems to activate under the lag.

Thanks for reminding me this drops in two weeks for me on console. I have two PvE stamblades, one is my main. Now they have officially been nerfed to Oblivon - and back.

I need to complete all the thieving I want to do for the rest of the game before the change happens.

As much as I loved to complain about Cloak, I would have much rather a universal stealth skill added to Scribing with the caveat that you cant guarantee a crit from stealth with it.

That would have leveled the playing field enough to where people who hated it, or felt it was overperforming, could have used a version of it themselves.

Thieving is sooooo much easier with this change since you can permacloak without having to renew it every 3 seconds. The banner from scribing tthat they added makes it even easier to maintain it.

Cloak + wild hunt ring means I can run past the mobs and get to the next quest objective easier.
I wouldn't mind this change if it didn't disable magic recovery while active.

No everyone runs a bomber or ranged ganker. Slipping in and out as melee who stays in the thick of it has become more difficult. Yes, mathematically you can cloak longer with siphon and rally but it’s not as feasable when you don’t camp in the outskirts.

But take this with a grain of Salt as I‘m by no way a top tier NB. This is just my experience as someone mid playing a marauder like melee blade.

In PvE it is barely possible to run past mobs, even on a stam-hybrid build that has slightly more max magicka. As for PvP, when combined with all of the detection options players have (especially detection potions that after cloak nerf, became hyper OP), cloak is only useful for avoiding PvP in a 1st place at best (and that is being very generous & assuming best possible scenario). If someone is a bit bolder, they may try leaching some AP or maybe ranged ganking some weak below 30K health non-sorc players with low CP... but that would be about it. If someone is actively looking for you, chances are you will either need to realise that fast & move away before they will see you. But in an event of detection it is pretty much certain death. Even if you don't rely solely on cloak, you are very likely not to make it due to other nerfs (like for example shadow barrier passive).

I think that what can be kinda expected (and would make sense balance wise) is detection stuff being slightly adjusted to the new reality in a near future (but this is ZOS so who knows). Mainly detection potions that for the most part would require to be looked at. The main thing that I never understood about the design of those is that if you use them, they don't interupt crouch & invisibility if you have it. Other detection skills do break it on cast. Invisibility potions do force crouch & invisibility on you when used, but if you cast anything that would normally break invisibility, it does break invisibility potions - meaning that you just wasted a potion. Meanwhile, detection potions don't even de-cloak you / force you out of stealth when used and this leads to a very broken situations where someone in stealth can detect others while remaining hidden themselves.

It was a great skill to potentially leave a lost situation, like sorcs have tp
it was a nice skill to hit from behind by surprise attack, it's the nightblade essence
but zos decided to kill this skill with pots and multiple nerfs

now, we're not nightblade anymore. we're dayblade

Okay, I realized that there are a lot of little kitty thieves in the game. There are undoubtedly more PVE players than PVP players
I would be in favor of switching the cloak, provided that every move I made didn't drain resources. This is too much of a nerf. It's like vampire madness. Forgot to turn it off - almost died.
I don't know how you guys cope with this, but I'm getting discovered all the time now.
Creeps in Cyro knock you out of invisibility, and if earlier I could spam with a cloak and acceleration to get away, now I can at most go a third of the way before until my resources are completely depleted

In any case, my survivability and performance have become significantly worse with the new update
I would love it if the zos added half the magic regeneration while moving, just like in a static position
Although it will still be crap, at least it will be somehow playable
Pve blades, with my khajiit apologies, I only play pvp and am used to using the meta, albeit really tasteless, in order to farm everything I need as quickly as possible

Between the nerfs to Tarnished and Cloak, the PvP combat meta is already way better. Brainless range spam is miserable, get that zero risk auto aim crap that flies through walls out of here. Hail Sithis, play brawler NB.
